The hotel is located in a nice and safe part of town, it has more of a B&B or lodge vibe but overall really nice. We visited in winter so naturally it was freezing cold but to our surprise the bed had plenty of blankets and an electric blanket so we were very warm! Our room was tastefully decorated and had all necessary appliances (microwave, fridge, kettle).

We weren’t offered any breakfast, I’m assuming they don’t offer meals at all and our bathroom only had a tub (no shower) which is a bit inconvenient if you’re rushing to get ready. The staff at reception weren’t too nice, they seemed a bit irritated at our arrival; and reception was locked when we were checking out around 08:30am I had to walk around the yard to find a staff member to assist.

When we hadn't arrived after 17h00 we received a call from the hotel ahead of our arrival to check on our ETA. That was nice. Staff was friendly and check in quick. The rooms are clean and comfortable (for me it was a second stay and I was in a different room but the quality of experience was the same). Location on the edge of town means it's distant from noise but not too far to drive, especially when you arrive late like we did.

Room 7 where we stayed didn't lock from inside. We were concerned about that but it being Kokstad we felt security was not a major issue. Just a pity they don't serve breakfast. I have no doubt it would be a great experience too.

Great value for money. Bed was very comfy, slept like a log. Room is nice and spacious, bathroom is excellent.

People were doing maintenance work in the room next door, @ 8am. That happened on Saturday and Sunday morning! Reception wasn't available when we checked out, its a problem if you wane leave early in the morning. Management should look at a secure box for returning the key. Also reception lady can be a little more welcoming/friendly when checking in.

The property is situated in a quiet area away from all the noise. The property offers value for money but bookings.com overcharged me.

The property charged me R300 less than the Booking.com rate. This is not right and not fair especially when it’s supposed to be the other way around. Booking.com is supposed to offer better discounted rates. When we arrived at the establishment, they had not received our booking from Booking.com, so the lady charged us the rate the use which as I said is R300 less than Booking.com.

Check-in was easy. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Sis Dudu and Ma Annie. The layout of the place is beautiful with well maintained gardens and a lovely braai area. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable with good quality linen and towels.

The generator that automatically turned on when the power went out. (Load shedding is a pain, usually.)

I was charged an exorbitant amount for laundry.

The hotel is in a quiet suburb, very well maintained and the room was quite comfortable. I liked the quality of furniture and bedding. Rooms very spacious. They promised to email me the invoice afterwards and did. Friendly staff and quick service on arrival and departure. My second stay at a Kokstad establishment and this one was the better of the two. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, but this was not a major issue for me. The outside lights were too bright all night, making it somewhat difficult for a light sleeper like me to sleep very well.

Everything. The place is in a quiet neighborhood, the bed is super super comfortable, and my wife loved it. The room was so big.

The fact that there was no water stored in the fridge, but that was not a train smash as I had brought water with me.

Beautiful ground and the units are very spacious. Very big shower and big bath tub. Beds are comfortable.

Cleaning staff entered our room before we even woke up in the morning. There was too little coffee and no milk in the fridge.

The Hotel was very accommodating. They were able to change our room to one with a Shower and we were very happy with that. The staff is friendly. The beds have an electric blanket which was excellent because it’s cold in the evenings.

There were no issues. Would have loved to have a hairdryer in the rooms and a replenishment of the shower gel.
