Set in a valley overlooking a stream which will become a river after more rainfall. The rooms are beautifully appointed and provide a vast vista of the area. You cannot fault the attention to detail with the design, bedding and facilities in the room. The fresh water in the fridge is constantly topped up and the room turned down in the evening like magic! Nets on the bed and A/C in the room. Elephants visited the valley and drank from the pool and stream on 2 of the 4 days we were there!! Moyo, our guide was not only very knowledgeable but also great fun. The dining was 5* and bar prices very reasonable.
More of a hotel vibe than an intimate lodge. The location in the park means you have to drive further each day to see the animals which seemed abundant in the south and central areas.

The luxurious rooms, hospitality, friendlyness of staff and the Game drives with our guide, Moyo, who went out of his way to make every outing as special as possible! With our 25th Anniversary, they treated us like royalty which was so amazingly special! Thank you Sediba team ❤️❤️!!
It is very hard to point out anything negative about Sediba as a whole, but to be very critical, the Spa could be upgraded to create better tranquil ambiance, real Spa music and upskilling on massage techniques. Also, a few additional food options for Lunch and Dinner would be an amazing value improvement.

Just an all round fantastic stay. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they participated in making it a bit special for the day. The room we stayed in was amazing and well postioned to get the elephant and zebra passing by while chilling in the jacuzzi on the patio deck. The food was delicious, with the Satdurday night boma dinner being a great highlight while having the curious nocturnal animals pass by. What did make it that much more special is the wonderful hospitality of all the staff at the lodge!
Not that i didnt like it, just for people to be aware it is quite a drive from the entrance of the arrival gate to the actual lodge, it takes another 30 min to get there but once there it is a dream, it does also give you an opportunity to spot animals on the way (mini game drive). Not sure if it was the time of year but the wildlife were pretty limited to see compared to other game reserves (not the lodges fault). The gym has no aircon or fans which can be rather hot at the peak of summer.

Just returned from this amazing experience at Sediba. The rooms are fabulous and spacious and everything you need for a wonderful stay. We loved the outside hot tub after a morning safari, with the incredible view of the park. Your room is serviced daily which is really nice. Especially loved Boma night! Our Ranger, Moyo, we will never forget! Thank you for your wonderful knowledge and sharing everything you love about all the animals and about the park. Loved it here!
Bumpy road in and out - be prepared! :)

Room size (very private) Location Personalised attention from staff Game driver vast knowledge, experience, interaction with children Views Accommodation for children meal requests Selection of animals viewed on game drives
Food was average, at best You couldn't control the hot tub - it would turn on and off periodically on its own Primary reason for booking was the hot tub Lounge chair at pool collapsed while sitting on it, upon investigation all chairs had disintegrated wood and were on the brink of breaking

The facility was very good overall and the rooms were kept very clean, the food was good and the management of the activities was excellent including ensuring that they are flexible our eating arrangements
My request for special arrangements for my wife’s birthday was not manage correctly and the lodge staff that were present did not know about the request, but the lodge did recover very well the following day with the alternative arrangements they made, for that I applaud them

This lodge is superb and we had the most wonderful three days here. Nadia and her team are incredible and nothing is too much trouble. The chef was amazing and we really enjoyed the meals. The actual chalets themselves are beautiful and extremely spacious, with indoor fireplaces and patios with hot tubs. The game drives with Moyo (our Zimbabwean ranger) were extremely special and we sighted numerous different types of game, including a cheetah with her cubs and many more.
The public access road to and from the West gate of Welgevonden Game Reserve is a very poor and highly corrugated dirt road. It is very difficult to travel without a 4-wheel drive vehicle. This is by no means a reflection on the lodge as it is a government road. It is just a heads-up to anybody who will be hiring a car.

Beautiful lodge, polite and efficient staff, delicious food, a very special place. Dinner in the boma is a special experience.
The road in to the West Gate is terrible. The game viewers do not have trackers which leaves the guide with a lot of tasks - driving, spotting games, looking for tracks, managing the radio, entertaining the guests - it’s too much for one person. Sadly this seems to be a trend in the Safari business. Sediba is not alone as it seemed all the lodges in Welgevonden.

Everything! This lodge is one of the best I have ever stayed in. From the food, to the safaris, to the staff, I have zero complaints. The rooms are amazing and very clean. Special thanks to Nkuli, Nadia, Moyo, Lydia, Martha, and Jan who made my stay extra special. I was welcomed/treated like family and was sad to leave. And Moyo is by far the most knowledgeable ranger/guide I have ever met. Will have to return one day so I can stay longer!

The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are even more spectacular. The rooms are absolutely huge and very luxurious for such a remote location. We came with my partner's parents and they also loved it. Special mention to our ranger Bornwell who we had an amazing time with and managed to find us some amazing animal sightings. We will definitely be returning. The staff were also incredibly accommodating to us as a family and made sure we had a private, unforgettable experience.
