We had booked the 1 bedroom apartment. This had two beds and a futon bed. This was a thin mattress, which was fine for us, but not recommended with back problems. We had to make the third bed ourselves, and it was a bit tight to fit in. There was no room to sit in the apartment, but we only slept there and were mainly outside. This is a great room for 2 people, perhaps a bit too tight for 3, but doable. Location was very nice, in a nice and relatively quiet neighborhood. Tokyo's public transport was easily accessible, and a good base to explore Tokyo. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The first evening we went to the associated bar, which is directly below the apartment. Delicious cocktails, and having fun talking to each other with the help of Google Translate. They recommended a nice izakaya and even made a reservation for us. After some confusion about the location, the bartender even walked us to the restaurant! Super friendly and the food was delicious!

- Tight fit for 3-persons

Felt like a classic Japanese Ryokan. Great experience for a first timer in Japan. Friendly reception as well at the Whiskey bar. Spacious common areas, plenty of mats and cushions to sit on. Plenty of extra futons so you could double up on the beds if you like. Actually had fun sitting with the boys having a drink, then planning our trip thereafter on the table. Located right by a main train station so the location is solid.

Amenities were a little dated. Chairs downstairs were cracked and did not support your weight on the back very well. Hair dryer had zero heat so if you have long hair good luck. Ceilings were a little short.. under 5'7 you're fine. Above? Duck.

Incredible hotel, nothing compared to any other hotel you'll stay at. You get a whole, very spacious apartment with a full kitchen, laundry, room, living room, bathroom with bath... Not only that but the bar is incredible, you'll love it! Natsumi made my whole experience much better than it already was, what an incredible host and bartender! I will come back to this hotel and bar just for her as she was the sweetest and very fun to talk to. The area is so interesting, out of all the times I have been to Tokyo, I never explored Kagurazaka and now it's on my must-go list. Such a cute area, feels like a town, and the hotel is right in the middle of it.

That I didn't spend more days here!

Amazing location and such a wonderful neighbourhood, staff and local facilities are just great

Of course it’s an old property so sometimes you can hear the flat above,

The Main Living Quarters was Very comfortable. There was adequate heating given you knew the kanji for Heating『暖房』and how to operate the Aircon remote. The electronic locking system was very easy to understand. The bartender downstairs was charming and the drinks were very good. The bar was very cozy and intimate.

The Entranceway into the property was very cramped and difficult to remove your shoes, especially if you carry anything more than a handbag. The threshold/step is too close to the door and a Backpack or Suitcase is out of the question - You have to leave it outside as you take your shoes off and keep the door open so in the cold that’s the last thing you’d want to do. If there is more than one of you, you cannot fit more than one person inside the entranceway at a time to remove your shoes unless they are slip-on shoes where you do not have to bend down to take up the entire space. The Kitchen was Very Cold. Those were the only complaints I could think of even if I tried. Everything else was perfect.

Loved the location to metro and the variety of restaurants very close by. Not a lot of tourists in our neighborhood.

I didn't like that it was difficult to find off a main street. It was an unmarked alley like street. Neat that it is hidden and private but stressful on the first day find it and check in. Our son had a small cubby like area to sleep and he thought the cushions were uncomfortable. Our beds were very comfortable though. I would stay here if visiting again.

Although we were a group of three in a small room, it was still very comfortable. Many necessities were provided, and the owners were very kind. The location was really nice as well, with many shops and restaurants around and the station close by. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place to many others.

The hosts at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. We had a miscommunication with a baggage service where we selected payment on delivery and the hosts were able to accommodate the mishap. Had some great chats with Harada-san at the bar as well. The location was also fantastic, being close to several bars and restaurants.

The room was a bit cramped for 3 people

It's homey, like living in our grandparents' house. The location is great too, with the Canal Cafe at one end of the street and many other restaurants/convenience stores along the way.

It was stressful trying to sort the trash, especially when we don't know what is considered correct or not

The location was perfect and the bar downstairs is one of the coziest bars I’ve even been to. The room was quite big especially for Tokyo! I would come stay at this hotel again! Also, it was nice to have a washing machine in the room.
