The service was exceptional - the receptionist was polite, helpful and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The little touches - cookies, candy, delicious coffee in the room - really brightened the day. The bed was very comfortable - the best in Europe so far (we have been traveling 8 days). The breakfast was superb in taste, presentation and quantity- we actually took some “to go” as we did not want to waste any food. Thanks again for the excellent stay - this hotel is a gem.

Lovely small hotel facing the river coast. It is a classic and charming old house typical from the area, fully renovated. The staff was friendly and pleasant to interact with. Our room had a beautiful view of the river, not too spacious but big enough for a couple with a kid -sofa bed was comfortable for our daughter-. The room was clean and we appreciated the availability of coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was complete, you can order in advance everything you'd like and they prepare it for the next morning (at 10 Eu/person). No problem if you come with the car, there's a big free parking area in front of the hotel. We had a great stay, thank you so much!

Given that the hotel doesn't offer other facilities besides your own room -there is a restaurant but closed on Sundays-, I find the price too high for the service they offer. The village (Ernst) is cute and close to Eltz castle, but very small.

Such a quaint hotel with kind staff and an outstanding breakfast. The location was perfect for family walks and the room was a good size. The property itself is clean, quiet, and well maintained. It’s easy to walk around the small town of Ernst and a short drive to Cochem. Has close parking, relative to the property.

The room was lovely! We were glad there was an extra blanket in the closet because it was chilly at night when we stayed in late September. Everything in town was within walking distance and the restaurants nearby were so good!!

We liked everything but if I had to say there was something to improve, a balcony would be nice....

It is a charming boutique hotel with large rooms and very good bathrooms. I liked the quietness of the location as opposed to Cochem yet you are so close. It is very close to a wonderful restaurant called Pollmanns. The breakfast was good for 8 euros.

They do not have a bar area or good place to sit and have a beer, however in better weather there is a nice garden area to sit and view the Moselle. They did have a good selection in the honor refrigerator to take back to your room.

Lovely, boutique hotel in a peaceful village near the characterful town of Cochem. Attentive and efficient host.superb breakfast and very clean and comfortable rooms. Makes a great base to explore the surrounding Mosel and Rhineland-Palatinate area.

A point of improvement could be to have water available for the guests (maybe there was somewhere but I was not aware)

Beautiful B&B, building with a lot of character. Spacious room with coffee machine and comfortable shower. Several tasty breakfast choices. Ideal location if you prefer not to stay at the city center (ample parking in Cochem). Karsten was very kind and helpful, no nonsense relaxed contact. I would come back here if I would visit the region again, which is highly probable. Lots of things to do for active people.

Really only the big spiders in the garage where we stored our bikes, haha

the location was perfect. we rented bikes and easily move around to Cochem and other small towns. Parking was easy too.

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast in the garden was very nice as well.

All the staff were wonderful and were absolutely restless to attend to our needs and wishes. The location could be better; just in front of the Mösel, 5-10min away from Cochem center by bus (bus stop in front of the hotel). Ernst is quieter but offers some restaurant and wine tasting at walking distance. The garden is perfect for relaxing in the evening with a chill glass of wine. The hotel has a self-service cooler with a great selection of wines and beers. Public parking for cars and motorcycles is available in front of the hotel on the other side of the road.

The room floor was not very well cleaned. The bed and the pillows were very soft for our liking. We prefer firmer harder beds and pillows.
