The best welcome desk woman. So sweet and welcoming. The grounds are old school camping/cabin/motel, completely enveloped in tall trees so felt like you were right in the middle of the woods instead of a concrete slab most of these kinds of places are like. Lovely nostalgic vibe to it. The river right next to it is great to swim in.

Even though I loved the mountain rustic vibe of everything, some things you can’t let slide, like the bathroom door wouldn’t close so the other guests in your room can see you poop lol. Wasn’t a big deal though. Everything else made up for it. But yeah, they should fix that bathroom door.

They were awesome! My friend was able to leave her car parked there while we enjoyed a local festival (reason for our stay). We bought the last bundle of wood and asked for a few more coffee pods, we were pleasantly surprised to find the wood at our fire pit before we even got back to the room and they happily brought over a bag full of pods and extra creamer and sugar to go with it! So unexpected and very much appreciated! It's an old place but they've done a good job keeping up with maintenance. Nice surroundings with plenty of things to do. Mini golf, horseshoes, fire pits right off the lovely covered patio, great pool and huge jacuzzi. Of course the river is right there too. Staff is so helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

It's pretty old so of course there's going to be issues. The pocket door to the toilet was very hard to move, shower head or water pressure was not good.

Staff very helpful and provided ice as well as small shop attached to reception. Room comfortable enough and well fitted out with a stove and sufficient crockery and cutlery.

Pool and Jacuzzi closed so could not use. Was going to use sauna instead but that also switched off at 8.00pm. We did think we might have booked a chalet close to the river but we got a standard unit close to reception which was fine just that the pictures may have mislead us somewhat.

Great little cozy and private cabin with nice patio facing the pebbly riverbank and the South Fork Eel river, inside a campground with several amenities. We loved our stay, highly recommended to stay in one of the cabins on the riverside (some cabins are facing the campground and so less private and with worse view from the patio)

Incredibly nice service, very helpful and kind. Picturesquely situated by the river in a very good location. The bungalow is equipped with everything you need, the wooden interior makes a very nice impression. The ceiling fan cools well. Shop at the reception where you can stock up on lots of products. Cool camping atmosphere. Good infrastructure for children, including a swimming pool. A great place for a family vacation. We needed ice for the travel fridge, got a full bag at no charge. Great location.

We loved Dean Creek Motel! The ladies at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a regular room and a cabin and they both had a kitchenette and were very homey. Both are bigger in person than they look online, plus the room had a cute little patio. There is a pool/jacuzzi, volleyball net, basketball, mini golf, and a 5 minute walk to the river. 7 minutes to Avenue of the Giants. It has an old school feel that we loved.

Not the motels fault, but it’s basically in the forest so you get some flies in the room if you leave the door open.

We were in cabin so we made our own breakfast/lunch/dinner. Location was good and it was quiet. The road needed some repaving and there were a few potholes. The cabin was good and had supplies like silverware, toaster, etc. It needed better lighting like a bedside light for reading. I had problems getting internet on my phone but I don't know if it was because of the internet they used or because it is just because the area is remote. It was a great place to access the Humboldt State Park and the Avenue of the Giants.

lovely little cabin, well-equipped. nice location. Very friendly staff. Convenient to Avenue of the Giants. Nice places to walk my dog.

The bed was only OK. It sagged a bit in the middle. The spa was down during our stay.

This was a great place to stay. The room we stayed in was exactly as described. We didn't use the kitchen area because we were only there one night, but it was wonderful. The AC was cold. The towels were nice. The ladies at check-in were exceptionally friendly and helpful with helping us find a place to eat supper.

The only thing I didn't like was the crack under the door to the outside because I don't like bugs. We just put a towel there, so it was absolutely fine.

cute little cottages! comfy and clean with everything we needed included. a little outdated but everything worked. staff was really nice at checkin. just had a quick stopover on the way to Oregon but would stop again.

some of the residents are long term RV spaces so there are some that have a lot of stuff lying around.
