For a first timer solo traveling, stayed in Tamni made the whole trip became more memorable 🤟 I love the neighbourhood, it's not that dead quiet but not too overly lively. I enjoyed exploring area around Hua Lamphong & ChinaTown area (plus Song Wat) in the morning. Totally enjoyed and best decision ever to spent 12 days here. Do you guys need 7-11? There are two of them near Tamni. MRT Hua Lamphong (Exit no.3) also just a walking distance from the hostel. There are Tuk Tuk drivers parked in front of the MRT Hua Lamphong too, in case you need some other options of transportation. During my stays, i often use Grab Bike and the drivers had not difficulties to find the Hostel 👍 The nearest Shopping Mall is SamYan Mirtown i think the mall is moderately busy. Because it's near the Chulalongkorn University so no wonder if you see tons of students there. I think the location of Tamni is my favorite too, because i could reach MBK center, Siam Center/Area by using a the local Bus (There is a Bus Stop "Mrt Hua Lamphong Exot no.3" in front of 7-11, it's on the left from MRT Hua Lamphong Exit no.3) + using ViaBus app is quite helpfull for a tourist like me. Just combine the the google map + ViaBus app and it works! If you are not sure to find the ways by yourself, don't hestitate to ask the staff (They are very helpful). I also find the MRT Hua Lamphong quite easy to reach several destinations like Wat Pho, Yaowarad/Chinatown, Sam Yot, Benjakitti Park, Chulalongkorn Centenerary park, Jae Wan Dessert Place, Jeh O Chula and Don Mueang Airport ( The SRT Line). If you want to use BTS, you can connect at Si Lom station and go to Sala Daeng Station (BTS) it's just 2 station from Hua Lamphong. Beside the whole building just beautiful and comfortable to stay for days, i love the two cutie fluffy doggo(s) 🤟🤟🤟

Things i regret is that I didn't participate at all to the Tamni's event, all of them definitely looks fun (will try them for the next trip to Bangkok) and i totally forgot to ask the dogs' name 🤡

Beautiful hotel. It had an ‘indoor/outdoor’ feel to it. Lots of common areas if you want to socialize or sit on your own. It was nice to be able to sit and watch Netflix - something I had not done in 3 months of travel. Staff were very friendly, always were ready to help. They helped carry my luggage in and out for my taxi and up their stairway. Kitchen area was clean and breakfasts were good with fresh fruit, eggs, and something hot daily. There is also a nice little cafe attached if you want to buy coffee or a meal. I love that was a place to do laundry. Everything was clean and well maintained.

I've written a review for Tamni before after my first stay last year in March but I think it deserves another review after almost a year has passed. I stumbled upon this place at the last minute when I planned for a getaway after my break-up in March last year. Bangkok had been my go-to place whenever I needed to be on my own to grieve and Tamni had been a huge part of providing comfort and refuge from my own emotional journey. The people at Tamni were an absolute joy and a warm bunch even if our interactions were mostly on a hi-bye basis (I'm pretty introverted). Tamni itself is located within the city centre but far enough from the hubbub of crowds and traffic but close enough to access everywhere. Its a perfect establishment for introverts and those who prefer solitude and to go about their quieter habits. I've stayed here seven times (I think) and I cant imagine anywhere else to go and be.

The room was very neatly prepared, the toilet was clean, the design was interesting, it also has a great location (walking distance from Sevel and MRT). The neighborhood was safe for solo travellers, the staffs were very warm and they also has a laundry service for 150 baht

The hostel room was too quiet, it can be a good thing sometimes when I needed to take a rest. But I thought I could interact with the other travelers as well, turned out they are very reserved and individualistic, but it's not a major thing for me

Location: The hostel is ideally situated within a short walking distance of the subway (MRT) and Yaowarat. You will find a 7-11 and local restaurants nearby. The hostel itself features a cafe, restaurant, massage services, and various activities. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, making it hard to find a seat for food and drinks, but weekdays are much quieter, with plenty of space to relax. Staff: The staff members are all very friendly and eager to help. I did encounter one receptionist with long straight hair who came across as a bit arrogant, but maybe it was just her face, and I won't let that affect my overall rating. The other two receptionists, one whose name I believe starts and ends with J was very sweet and welcoming, and the other girl with either short hair or she had it in a ponytail was also very kind and attentive. Room: I stayed in a mixed dorm with four beds. As the first to check in, I got the bottom bunk next to the window, which I loved for the natural light. The bed was comfortable and came with a private locker, though no lock was provided. The bathroom was clean and had the necessary amenities, but it could be a bit cramped with 4-5 people using it at the same time. Overall: I would definitely stay here again, just perhaps not on weekends.

I recently stayed at Tamni Hostel in Bangkok, and it was an incredible experience! The hostel is beautifully designed, with modern decor and a cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and individual lockers for added security. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a relief from the Bangkok heat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The common area was a highlight — a great space to relax, meet other travelers, or even get some work done. I also appreciated the very nice cafe at the hostel. There are also Thai massages which I recommend booking in advance. The location is perfect, close to public transport, and key attractions. Despite being in a bustling area, the hostel was quiet and peaceful. Overall, Tamni Hostel exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Bangkok. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, or anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay!

I found this place after receiving a recommendation from a friend. I was so stunned by how comfy and homey this place was. I stayed in a dorm room but it was so conveniently quiet and got a working table so I had to work a little bit. Worth the money! Oh did I mention the kitchen area and the breakfast they served? Wow, the staff introduced me to Thai curry and noodles with chicken (which I don't recall the name) but yeah, overall, I really loved it! - Also don't worry if you don't like a heavy breakfast, they have a Western breakfast menu too! :) I definitely want to visit back when I'm in Bangkok! Friendly staff as well!

Nothing, I liked my stay here :)

Love the architecture, the open spaces, the music, the chill vibes, the greens, the natural lighting... showering shampoo and bath gel, towel provided. There is weekly sunset yoga on the rooftop (pay as you wish) and other activities (check with the reception). Checkout time is at 12pm. Swing by the cafe for a meal or go for a massage at Samantha. Catch Netflix or just chill by the lounge. Get your oasis retreat at Tamni. Staff Cho and Pat gets my thumbs up for making my stay warm and sweet.

The restroom doors on level 2 ought to be fixed for privacy. Would have preferred darker or thicker curtains instead of translucent curtains by the dorm beds for privacy, too. Room 203 on level 2 is exceptionally noisy because it faces the eateries and street opposite the building, which opens very early to prepare food and closes late. Loud music can be heard daily. Additionally, it is beside the restroom. One can hear the squeaky doors throughout the day. +The fridge needs to be cleared. Room booked did not look like the photos on booking.com

Very clean, comfortable and modern! Hosts are very friendly too and helpful

Lack of social aspect - as the hostel has a public cafe, it makes it really hard to meet people. I would not recommend to solo travellers unless you want some alone time.

The location is quite convenient—really close to Bangkok’s Chinatown. The hostel features many thoughtful decorations, and I highly recommend checking out the rooftop space, which offers beautiful views both during the day and at night. The room is a decent size, with plenty of storage for everyone. However, the curtains around the beds are quite thin and let in a lot of light—it would be better if they were thicker. The bathrooms are reasonably clean, with separate wet and dry areas in the showers, although the door was a bit tricky to lock. Breakfast is simple but nice, and the shared dining table is a great way to meet people. I ended up making a lot of new friends there—it’s definitely my favorite part of the common area. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their hospitality is one of the main reasons I’d love to stay here again the next time I’m in Bangkok!

There’s a restaurant on the ground floor of the hostel that’s open to the public, with an open art space right next to it. The atmosphere is great, but during the day, you’ll notice quite a few non-guests coming and going, so if that’s something you’re sensitive to, it’s worth keeping in mind.
