The Oceanview is an older hotel with older, kitschy decor, but our room looked updated. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Temp control worked well. Our room faced the highway but the place was surprisingly quiet with only occasional road/lot noise. The breakfast was standard but the choices were well-stocked and the dining area was kept clean. We'd recommend the place.

The location is slightly removed from the 'downtown' area and beach areas, would be a LONG walk to anything of substance. The harbor and a large park are nearby, those are walkable. The rear-facing rooms have some water view but not outstanding. And you have to expect high pricing along the Oregon Coast.

My wife and I enjoyed our overnight stay at the Oceanview Inn in Crescent City. Our room had a good sized king bed, a desk, mini-fridge, and a shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room was clean and comfortable. We decided to take out food from the grocery store and eat dinner in our room. We had yogurt, bagels, coffee and tea for breakfast at the hotel. If you are visiting the Jedediah Smith Redwood Park, this is a nearby recommended place to spend the night.

The bed was a little too soft for my taste. My wife thought that it was fine.

The room was spacious and clean. The king bed was very comfortable with a medium firm mattress. The decor seemed dated but very functional. A large sink area in the living area was convenient. This was one of the few balcony rooms, which I appreciated and would recommend as a $10 upgrade if the weather is appropriate. The European-style breakfast was satisfying and served in a comfortable dining area. Since this is a fairly large hotel with an elevator, one detail I appreciated were the two luggage trolleys. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Overall, this is a very well-run hotel.

The bathroom was adequate, with a small tub and shower combination, but could use some updating. I would have preferred a walk-in shower.

We had a beautiful view from our room, a comfortable and spacious space. Breakfast was good and had enough variety. We also appreciated having the breakfast time extended to10. The proximity to Trees of Mystery and various other Redwood Forest locations was terrific.

Maybe it's a new thing since Covid, but room service was not automatic. In fact, the first (and only) time we asked, it was two men who made me feel like I had to bring my trash to them (which I did), and I had to ask if they would make the bed. Prices go up and service drops.

Our stay at "Oceanview Inn and Suites" was great. The room was very spacious - a bit different with having the bathroom "sink" and counter in the room, but there was plenty of space - and it was actually quite convenient. Plenty of parking on the premises. The breakfast was pretty "standard" hotel breakfast with the usual bagels; pastries; toast; hard boiled eggs; coffee; yoghurt; etc., but worked for us! Location is convenient within Crescent City as well as to visit Redwood Forests.

This hotel has a lovely, homey and comfortable feel to it. Overall it was very clean and the staff nice, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, no odd smells and overall was nice to stay in. The overall stay was good.

the beds were not comfortable - very hard and they should have 4 pillows per king bed to accommodate the size and the 2 people sleeping in it. It would also be VERY good if there was an update to the lights/plugins by adding USB ports for charging. the only other thing we noticed is while the rooms were decently clean, all the fixtures could really use a good dusting.

Had a family suite, 2 big rooms, 1 had huge bed in it, other had 2 double beds. Breakfast was included and was quite alright. Free tea and coffee 24/7. Let us bring bikes into the room for security aswell, seeing as crescent city has a few homeless, more so in downtown, didn’t see them hanging around hotel though! Nice lobby. Staff nice.

For somewhere that was built fairly recently (I believe 2011) it is decorated in pretty strange taste. Could feel much more modern with a decor change but that’s only nitpicking, it didn’t make the stay unpleasant.

This hotel is beautiful, clean, the rooms are spacious and the Staff is absolutely helpful and amazing! Room with a Bay view was very nice and Christine and Diane went out of their way to accommodate us with a comfortable chair that we needed. Also Angela, Cory were extremely helpful when we booked our room and gave us several great recommendations of places in the area to visit. The Battery Point Lighthouse tour was fantastic and the Stout Grove easy hiking trail at Jedidiah Redwoods was FANTASTIC! Also drive up the Oregon Coast to Gold Beach; Ocean World great and Good Harvest Cafe as well!!

Breakfasts were good but if you need more selection for bigger appetites, you may want to go out for breakfast. Also, beds (mattresses) were good but could be better.

The place is so well maintained, and room was organized and spotless. The receptionist was very helpful and cordial. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We love the complimentary breakfast however we would like to see more vegan or vegetarian options on our next visit! Other than that, everything was a delight, and we highly recommend Oceanview! A+

Huge problem….on the web site it states “includes breakfast”……no breakfast due to the virus. The virus has been going on for 18 months yet your web site still claim to have a free breakfast. Nothing was offered, not a breakfast to go or discount ticket at a local restaurants. At all the other places we stay, they either had the web page changed or offered a free breakfast. We decided this was just a easy to mislead travelers and pocket the cost of breakfast. Very disappointing.
