Online check in and out was easily, the little store with some essentials, food, and sweets was convenient. The rooms were comfy, and clean. There is a mall, many different styles of restaurants, fast food, and grocery stores all within a 1 to 10 block radius. There were auto shops and health services close by as well. Everything someone might need was very accessible. Taxi was 25$ to the airport and ferries only about 45 minutes to an hour away depending on traffic. Will use this hotel again if coming back to the area.

Pool has big windows the public can see into, curtains or tint for them would be good to add. No robes for going from room to pool, but many towels and a bathroom by pool.

During my stay at the hotel, I particularly enjoyed the breakfast bar with its waffle maker, which allowed me to indulge in freshly made waffles each morning. Additionally, the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's accommodation of an early check-in was also greatly appreciated, allowing me to settle in and start my day ahead of schedule.

I was disappointed with the attitude of the staff, who seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic about their work, creating a negative atmosphere. Additionally, the pool facilities were mediocre, lacking proper maintenance and amenities. Moreover, the constant noise from airplanes passing overhead was disruptive and affected the overall tranquility of the stay.

Checkin was simple and efficient. Arriving at a less busy time also helped. The room was clean and ready for us. The location was great as we were able to take the Canada Line within walking distance of the hotel, (less than 15 minures at a casual walking pace) thus avoiding needing a vehicle to get to the hotel. While there was no airport shuttle, the cost of a taxi ride was minimal ($18.00). This made it more affordable than trying to find a hotel with an airport shuttle. Lots of Asian restaurant options around the hotel to choose from and a McDonald's within walking distance for those who want to do a late night snack run. The Lansdowne Shopping Centre is close by, making mall shopping quite convenient.

While the location was great and near the airport, it also meant hearing some planes overhead as they arrived and departed from Vancouver International Airport. While the hotel was clean, the carpets and furnishing were beginning to show their age and could probably use some updating. There wasn't a mini fridge in the room so we could not put our beverages or leftover food in a place to keep cold.

While my stay at La Quinta was generally enjoyable, there was one aspect that I found slightly disappointing. The breakfast offered at the hotel, while convenient, lacked variety and freshness. The options were somewhat limited, and the quality of the food fell short of expectations. Additionally, the dining area tended to get crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a table and enjoy a peaceful meal. Overall, while the breakfast service provided a convenient option for guests, I felt that there was room for improvement in terms of the selection and quality of food offered.

The staff are great! It’s located very close to the Airport, and very accessible to malls & restaurants in Richmond, Stanley Park and downtown. It’s also within 15-min walk to a nearby Sky Train station if you don’t want to drive. They have a pool, a whirlpool and an exercise room; as a low budget inn, providing such facilities are a pleasant surprise! Did I mention the free breakfast? Yes, it’s good too, and the staff running the breakfast were very attentive!

I gave it 9 out of 10 because of the air conditioner. It’s too loud. We had to turned it off at night and opened the windows, but the noise of flights weee frequent too. If only they could manage the noise issue, it’s a 10 out of 10!

Location was good. Room was clean and tidy

There was no kettle in room no milk in room. Room lacked hair conditioner. No China cups/mugs only paper cups. Reception staff lacked training - book in staff member was very impatient for me to sign the form without reading the contents. I had to ask after her pointing out where to sign three times I was wanting to read before signing.

Friendly employees. Room is sufficiently spacious and equipped with two comfortable beds (family room) and a well-functioning air conditioning. Coffee machine with capsules is an added value when you get up. Good working shower. Breakfast is not particularly extensive, as everywhere in Canada, but certainly sufficient. Tasty homemade waffles! Just a 10 minute drive from the airport. Train to downtown Vancouver departs from the station, a 10-minute walk away. Many nice (Asian) eateries nearby.

Well situated just outside the Airport. No hotel shuttle service but 10 minute taxi ride and a 10 minute walk to nearest Skytrain station which takes you to downtown Vancouver. Small pool and hot tub in hotel was a bonus. Spacious room with fridge, good coffee machine and opening windows. Good wifi.

Only one lift for the whole hotel. Breakfast choice was basic, hot choice was hard boiled eggs and turkey sausages, although you could make your own waffles.

The location of the La Quinta was excellent with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room was well appointed and clean. The staff were very helpful in getting us settled.

Breakfast was lacking, the quality of the food while ample was not good. Eggs were tasteless as were the sausages, the oatmeal was runny and of poor quality. The waffle machine was most welcome!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. The breakfast was really excellent. No one ever had turkey sausage. It’s always pork which I don’t eat. What a pleasant surprise. Also the shellfish shack next door is a must.

This is so minor but ….cheese. The continental breakfast had everything to make the best breakfast sandwich ever but didn’t have sliced cheese or cheese whiz (only cream cheese). Would’ve brought the whole thing together lol
