Staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They were very tuned in to our needs. I liked the possibility of accommodation for a big family group. Breakfast was a plus. (And very good also.) The shop and the laundry were a life saver, specially when traveling with a family member that needs special care. The rooms/suites were beyond expectations. They were very well sound insulated. This is the second Sonesta hotel I've stayed in (Sonesta Capital Hill, Washington DC was the first) and I have liked it very much. I know these are very different hotels, but service is great.

I would have liked to have more frequent maid service, every three to four days instead of seven. However, if I needed service, the staff would immediately respond. The tub was very slippery. Dangerous for everyone, but specially for seniors and people with special needs. Maybe grab bars would help. The rugs (hallways and rooms). I didn't know or trust if they were clean enough. The hotel was very far away from everything. Maybe shuttle service for shopping or site visiting. However, I acknowledge that references for independent taxi and car services were provided.

The staff was amazing! We can here for my kids birthdays which are a day apart. My kids turned 7 and 9 and of course had to tell everyone it was their birthdays. After hearing that the entire staff was super nice to them and did their best to make their birthday stay special. The best encounter was with the maintenance man and I am sad to say I didn’t catch his name. We had a small issue in one of the bathrooms. He came up very fast after we notified the front desk and had it fixed immediately. Of course my kids had to say hi and tell him it was their birthdays for those two days. He politely said happy birthday to each of them, they said that they hoped he had a wonderful day and he left. It was a great interaction. What really floored us is that about an hour/hour and a half after he left he came back. This time with a beautiful birthday cake for my two kids! My wife and I were completely in awe. The fact that this man found it worth his time to go out and get my kids this cake was truly amazing. We were complete strangers and he treated us like family. To take his time and money to do that for my kids is a debt I will gladly pay forward! My daughter loved it so much she had to write him a thank you note and didn’t want to leave without giving it to him in person. We were able to do that and even then he spoke so kindly to both of my kids. He is an absolute asset to your company, and I hope you are able to give him the praise he deserves! The whole staff at this location was terrific and if we are ever in Auburn Hills again we will be sure to stay at the 2050 Featherstone Rd location again!

Nothing! Everything was great!

I did not have the breakfast but it sure smelled great. The location of the hotel is perfect. They accommodated my request for a first floor near a door which was so convenient for me and my dog. Close to anything I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly!

The cleanliness of the carpet, the noise the toilet made when flushing, thin wall and the unusual smell. Couldn’t tell what the smell was, cleaning products or what but not too inviting.

The breakfast was ok

Pool wasn’t open and they took $250 deposit talking about they had to clean the room. You had to clean the room anyway so why take my deposit. I will never spend another American dollar again with this hotel!!!!

The fully stocked kitchen was great, the beds were super comfortable and the room upgrade because of overbooking was a pleasant surprise. The pool and patio were very nice, and having two separate bedrooms was absolutely perfect. For the money, i have not seen better.

The hotel is showing its age. Some things are damaged, broken or missing. Breakfast was small, but met my expectations. The problem is it ends fairly early 830 AM. Sleeping in even a little is not an option. The location makes sense for people who are traveling to the Chrysler plant for an extended stay, but for a family on a vacation, there is not much else. There needs to be a grocery store within walking distance since a kitchen is provided in each suite.

Beds were incredibly comfortable along with warm duvets -Loved the layout of the one bedroom double suite. Beds were then separated from the living and dining area -complimentary soap, 2x dishwasher tablets, dish rags, Salt, pepper, sugar was a nice touch -very quiet property

- no food options besides free continental breakfast and there is no restaurant on the premises so one needs a car for sure if they want to have food - we chose this hotel as one of us were having surgery nearby and our stay was for recovery. they have no wheelchairs on-site

The jacuzzi tub in the room was it! Sat in jacuzzi jets watching our favorite show and eating dinner. Bed was comfortable. Thankful for the previous reviews about the musty smell and train noise. We went in and opened the windows and loved the sound of the trains. We didn't get to spend as much time in the town but hit a couple bars late and enjoyed the national park the next morning. The hosts were very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend.

Clean and spacious

We picked the hotel because a pool is listed. No functional pool. Night one a pipe burst on out or wing and after unpacking a bathing a 7 year old we were flooded and moved to A SMALLER suite. Our rates were not adjusted. We were there because of extensive damage to out home in a storm. When we realized that we needed to extend out stay, we we made to pay an entirely new $150 deposit. After calling the Customer Service for Sonesta, we were told it could be waived under the circumstances but the desk Falstaff refused. The hotel is a nice clean place, but this is just ridiculous. They also say that there is not a way to adjust the difference in charges for the smaller room as we booked through you.

They actually had a cookout for the guests which is something we have never encountered which was nice. The room was already stocked with dishes so we didnt need to ask for them. Everything worked well in the room and everything was clean.

The pool was not available to a long running maintenance issue which was not disclosed to us until we arrived. Also, there has been NO cooked breakfast since covid started so again website information and pictures are way out of date. Luckily we were able to cook what we needed in the kitchen in the room. Just disappointing as it was not as expected.

Perfect location, nice room with plenty of space for our family of five.

Some things were broke and could be updated but overall room was comfortable, breakfast was well done, and staff were kind and supportive.
