This is a really well known, colonial hotel that is nestled in the centre of George Town with an amazing view of the ocean and Stocking Island. The staff are amazing. So friendly and make you feel very welcome. On the main land and at the Beach Club. I cannot fault them and they totally made our stay. The rooms do not all look like the ones on their website so be mindful of this. Most of them are very basic (no drawers for clothes) no USB sockets and some of the decor and fixtures and fittings are in need of some TLC. It’s an old hotel, with lots of charm and character. We asked for 3 rooms for our family and requested they be next too or close to each other, which was kindly arranged for us. Our ocean view room was a bit dark and there were some minor things that weren’t right and we got moved to a room that actually looked like the one on their website, which was great and that made our stay. The food in the hotel restaurant was a bit expensive for what you get and not everything is on the menu, but we loved our stay and would 100% return again. Having the regular boat service to Stocking Island is a huge bonus. The beach club is so great - the island is so nicely landscaped with little pathways lined with gorgeous flowers and shrubs. Then you get blown away by the sand and colours of the ocean. It’s heaven on earth. Chat n Chill is a little water walk around the rocks too. Ticked all the boxes for us.

That the hotel needed a bit of TLC.

You need to take a boat taxi from the hotel to go to the beach. I send and email to the hotel days before to help me organize some activities and nobody answer.

WiFi didn’t work from the room and sometimes had problems also from shared areas

The boat across to Stocking Island was excellent and the beach there was super. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. A really fabulous place!

Very friendly staff! They called in advance to help arrange airport transportation and provided restaurant and excursion recommendations. Local knowledge is always helpful! The Beach Club on Stocking Island is a wonderful amenity with the resort's own water taxi back and forth included. Beautiful sand, clear water, lounge chairs, hammocks, umbrellas, bar...all you could ask for a day at the beach. Highly recommend the conch salad at the stand there. Bring cash for that and order about 30 minutes before you want to eat.

First boat to the Beach Club at Stocking Island is 11am. For early birds like us, we'd like an earlier option. Lacking posted signage between the Peace and Plenty dock on Stocking Island and the Beach Club. Easy to get lost in the winding sidewalks to all the cottages. Rookie mistake on our part: would like to have known about the additional resort fees when we booked. Totally worth it, but not the kind of surprise you want on a vacation budget.

The rooms are clean and simple with an amazing view of the beautiful Exuma water. We loved the ability to take the water shuttle to the Beach Club and lunch and fun in the beautiful, clear water! The staff at the hotel and beach club were very nice!

Eating at the hotel was difficult due to most items being unavailable. Sushi Happy Hour was advertised and on the Dinner menu but was not available on any night. There was a BBQ Night but only 2 meat items were available. We ate at the hotel on our first night and there were very few Entree items available. However, the fish entree was very good! We had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to our table and we had to request water refills several times. When we finished eating, we had to wait 20 minutes for our ticket to be brought to us to pay. It took a very long time to get service, eat and pay.

Staff, Food and view were amazing. The Beach Club and shuttle were ideal. Room was adequate for money.. older property but that's its charm. Quintessential old Bahamas...

Nothing, but feedback would be to have Local music during the bbq. Dj was nice but most come to the bahamas to experience the culture not to hear the spice Girls during dinner. Have the pool bar open later for socializing during busy evenings. And local info in rooms or map of the island especially the must sees.

Peace and Plenty is a great place and the whole staff is super nice and helpful. The poolside is very cool and the taxiboat to their beach and beach club is very good. The rooms are big and clean, the beds are comfortable. Minimarket, restaurants, ATM, souvenir shops and more are in short walking distance. We will come back next time in Georgetown.

No dresser or drawers for clothes. Restaurant and bar closed too early. No phone in room to communicate with front desk.

The room had everything we needed for our family of five for one night- good beds, nice kitchen, clean bathroom, good wifi. The only thing that was lacking was a more comfortable pull out couch where my son slept. But he's 17 and the size of a man, so the thin mattress was not comfortable. Also the master bedroom did not have a closet so it was hard to hang anything up. But that was no big deal. Great value. Great location. Super friendly staff.

Couch pull out mattress was super uncomfortable. Would like a closet in master bedroom. And would like a plug in the bathroom so you can see yourself while drying your hair.
