The Lost Camel is a great stay. I chose it this time because it was a lower budget option from the usual apartment I stay in. The facilities and rooms are small but great and just as comfortable as the more expensive rooms. There's a fridge/ tea making facilities etc. The shower is great, good aircon, comfy bed and there is a free laundry service, a pool, and it's quiet and private. I made good use of the pool as it was so hot. It's a very short walk to the shops and food outlets in Townsquare. There is a carpark across the road and you can unload your cases at the front door.

No complaints, it's brilliant. A small thing to note that there are no windows or veranda/ patio in these rooms. However they are well lit and there are frosted windows in the bathroom allowing natural light. You can go sit by the pool or anywhere in this amazing resort.

Centrally located. I liked the markets that were on. The camel farm was great and I had a great sunrise experience

More shade umbrellas for the pool area would be more comfortable in the heat. Cheaper food options for breakfast is needed. The park pass was fair price for 3 days but the shuttle each day to go there was pricey.

The location was perfect. It was within walking distance to the “Town Centre” where IGA, souvenir shops, restaurant, cafe and takeaway are located. I attended the free interesting an informative Cultural talks at the Town Centre and the open Amphitheatre. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a pool there, but we didn’t have enough time to use it. Staff were friendly and helpful. We found the daily activity schedule and information provided helpful. Would have been good to have stayed there an extra night.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

The hotel is in part of the resort and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and cozy. The bed was really comfy. It was clean. The sink is in the room, the shower and toilet are in a seperate room. It is 2 minutes away from the main square, whre two restaurants are and a supermarket which provides you with everything you need. The bus picks you up from the aiport and brings you back. There is also a shuttle in the resort, which is really convenient if you want to explore the area a little by yourself. It is the perfect spot to explore Uluru and its sorrounding. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location to explore Uluru and Kata Tjuta national park by car. Our room was spacious enough to stay for a couple of days with three large suitcases, bathroom was big too. Clean and comfortable, modern furniture end equipment - we had expected something more outdated based on some reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking space. The resort offers various activities, some of which are free of charge day time activities, whereas some have to be booked separately (dinners and tours) - we particularly enjoyed the field of lights tour which was an amazing experience under the stars. The resort also includes several restaurants which are either within walking distance of the hotel or can be reached by hopping on the resort shuttle bus. The fact that the resort is in the middle of the desert makes the infrastructure and seamless logistics even more impressive. Highly recommend.

Two minor points: - The window in the room was sealed and could not be opened. While we appreciate that an A/C was installed and fully functioning, it would be nice to have some fresh air - the only real window was in the bathroom (with fly screens). - The pool was not heated. We used it for a quick dip on hot afternoons but we found it too cold to actually spend time in the water.

We'll thought out and spacious room with a massive bed. Great wifi and nice toiletries. Location of the hotel is perfect (not that any other places wouldn't be close to the town square). Big and pretty pool area with towels provided and lots of information about the resort at reception. We were lucky enough to get an early check in before 12pm as our room was ready.

Our bedroom was next to the laundry room which was a little noisy during the day (particularly because the door was left open) and on the night we went to bed early in preparation for an early start for the sunrise; but it didn't really disturb our sleep. Maybe the hotel could put a sign encouraging people to shut the door?

Great location right next to the town square. Loved that there was a pool. They left a bottle of wine in our room on arrival as it was our golden wedding anniversary. They had called us the day before to ask if we were celebrating anything special.

We were disappointed to discover that there was no restaurant at the hotel, not even for breakfast. In the room, the design of the shower was awkward, with nowhere to put the bath mat to stand on except inside the room itself. Then to hang up the towel you had to get your feet wet again as the hanging rail was behind the door.

The swimming pool was a welcome friend each afternoon! The Lost Camel was only a minute's walk from the IGA, cafes and souvenir shops in the town centre and only about five minutes walk away from the Desert Sails Hotel where we connected with our tour busses. The room was delightful and the air conditioner was a huge help. There was room on the suitcase rack for two suitcases - not the case in many other places we stayed!

On hot days, it would have been nice to be collected for our tours at The Lost Camel instead of having to walk to the Desert Sails Hotel to connect with our tours. A sign warning of the hot pavement at the pool perhaps advising the use of flip-flops or slippers to protect feet would have been helpful.

Big comfortable room with an efficient air conditioner which was needed. Spacious fridge, nice sofa seats. Lots of space to put things. Great swimming pool which was never crowded and shaded sun loungers. Also liked that local.kids were allowed a short swim in the pool. . Middle of the resort so handy for eating places, booking trips and pick up for coach into the national park was 3 minutes walk. Pick up for airport right outside hotel reception.

No outside windows from the room apart from frosted shower and toilet window but room was still bright and this probably also keeps it cooler

Room was simple, but spotless. Swimming pool was a wonderful spot to cool off after long hikes in 30+ temperatures. Location was terrific… right beside the “town square” with access to cafes, a grocery store, souvenir stores and a place to book tours. We had stayed here on our first trip to Australia 12 years ago, and could not make a booking six years ago because of renovations. We were happy to return and not stay in one of the more expensive venues.

No food services in the hotel, so we had to go to one of the others if we wanted a fancier dinner than the cafe offered. As well, we discovered that people staying in the more expensive hotels were given discount coupons for the buffet breakfast. We were not eligible for these since we were staying at The Lost Camel, so it would be nice if that discount was also offered here.
