Really nice hotel. It was a short drive to San Diego Zoo, which was the reason for our stay. The courtyard area with the fire pit was a nice touch, even if it was too warm to use it while we were there. Breakfast looked good with a nice selection of hot and cold items, although we didn’t have time to sit down and eat. The room was clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The shower had really good water pressure and the temps stayed pretty steady. The full kitchen came in handy for in room meals.
The parking garage, although right next to the hotel and pretty easy to find a space while we were there, has VERY tight turns and ramps. If you have a large vehicle, you may have problems navigating it. The room was a little smaller than I had hoped for the price, and the shower door leaked a bit on the bathroom floor (it’s a clear glass door with an odd curved design, which I think let some water through). Also although the room itself was pretty quiet overall, the traffic from the street through the window was at times quite loud. If you are sensitive to that, I would recommend trying to get one of the courtyard view rooms if you can.

we had an excellent experience. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were comfortable, featuring two beds which were perfect for us. The location was incredibly central, making it easy to walk to downtown. Breakfast was delightful, and we have to mention Jovita and Michelle, two wonderful staff members who managed the breakfast area. They were incredibly kind to us, even when my friend and I accidentally spilled a cup of coffee on the floor. Despite the mishap, they graciously forgave us with a smile. This led to a lovely conversation where we got to know them better. Their kindness and warmth made our mornings brighter, and their good-hearted nature left a lasting impression on us. Every hotel should have staff as cheerful and kind as Jovita and Michelle. It was a pleasure to meet them and hear their life stories. We hope they will read this review because they truly made our stay special.
The only downside of our stay was that the housekeeping staff forgot to clean our room the day after we arrived. However, we believe this was just an oversight, which we promptly reported to the reception. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

Upon arrival, the hotel lobby was very clean and welcoming. I’m from San Diego and know that there are a lot of homeless who wonder into places, and here you needed a key to get in. so I appreciated that, especially coming in so late at night. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out were super easy. And we did appreciate Caesar, the robot bringing us waters. My husband and I travel a lot and their beds and pillows were some of the comfiest we’ve slept on. Even more so than some 5-star hotels we’ve stayed in.
The only thing we didn’t like was the loud noise from our AC unit. It kept the room quite dry too. But that was the only thing.

Staff was always cheerful and eager to help. Alex and Heather at the desk were exceptional. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of items to choose from. Jolette and Michele made sure everyone was satisfied during breakfast. They worked very hard and kept everything fresh and clean. Juan in housekeeping was very helpful also. Excellent staff along with a clean and comfortable environment makes for a wonderful vacation 😀
I arrived very late the first night. The room was clean and comfortable but some appliances were not working properly. I was given another room as soon as I mentioned it.

Room size; price; accessibility; the deal that I got; my daughter’s foot was broken and we need a room near elevator and it was accommodated; free breakfast for the price we paid. Internet speed met my video call expectation at 7th floor. Nice staff; overall gave me the feeling of being at home during difficult time of my beloved daughter’s surgery. Also the two large beds and a kitchenette with utensils is perfect t for families that want to do some cooking
Parking was great but non issue since we were able to find cheap parking close by.

The staff is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They really made us feel at home. Alex, in particular, helped us navigate the city. We really appreciated it. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. Lots of variety and accommodating many dietary choices. We really enjoyed the fire table in the courtyard on our last nite
We might have liked being right at the water but it really isn’t a long walk to the property and by staying there we likely found some spots we wouldn’t have if we were at the bay.

Location. Close to walk to many places and the Mexican restaurant right next store was AMAZING!!!
parking for TownePlace Suites wasn’t connected to the hotel, but wasn’t too bad of a walk.

Very big room with nice facilities. Me and my brother each had our own bed. At the entrance of the room there was even a small kitchen area with a big fridge, microwave, dishwasher... Which we did not expect! There was a large TV, Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice, varying from day to day, which we appreciated a lot. Both the room and bathroom were clean with all the amenities you need. The shower was great. The hotel has a very modern, sleek look, and there is also a robot that brings you things that you need, such as toilet paper or towels, and it was super fun to interact with it.
You couldn't open the windows. The location is kind of on the border with neighborhoods that sometimes (e.g. in the evenings) don't feel that safe (there were quite some homeless people nearby or strange-looking deserted vehicles on the parking lot opposite of the hotel... But these things are also normal in downtowns). The parking lot of the hotel is in another hotel next to the TownePlace which is maybe a bit inconvenient/unpleasant at night, but it didn't bother us too much. I would still recommend the hotel.
