Our favourite part was definitely the beachfront pool and bar area, which is epic, especially at sunset. Room is a good size and AC worked well. Room has external ‘lounge’ area with hammock, sofa and chairs, fan and it’s own hot / cold water cooler, which is a massive bonus as water from taps not safe to drink, not even to brush your teeth. King Bed had a firm mattress, and the ‘peach skin’ sheets seemed to be a wee bit too small for the bed. Breakfast choices are a la carte & were included which we initially didn’t realise - we liked the American Breakfast and the Beef Tapa. Restaurant & bar served a nice margarita, and the food was good. We particularly liked the peppered tuna. Tuk tuk into / back from town is a 100 pesos - seems to be a flat rate. (You can find them on the main road or reception can ring one for you) To / from airport we also took a tuk tuk - was 400 pesos total but with 20 kilos each and being on the heavy side, at times, we didn’t think the bike would make it. Lots of dining options nearby: there is a fabulous pizza place and next door at Mahogany resort is a great restaurant Shé (Shay) was a lovely host and the staff at the restaurant/ bar area was very friendly.

Really good area. Quiet beach. No road noise. Near some really good restaurants. 10/10 recommend a tricycle for 100php into town to visit ‘Not so Thai’. Was the best meal we had. Sunset watching and drinks at La Plage restaurant were top notch. We had a day chilling and on the beds and in the pool and it was lush. The room is huge and great set up. We didn’t need housekeeping but always came back from a day out to fresh towels and toilet rolls on the porch which was thoughtful. We loved the amenities and I loved the bed blanket! Finally, a weighted blanket in Philippines haha. Thanks for a great stay!

The mosquitos are worse here than anywhere else we’ve experienced in our 3 weeks of travels. I had 25+ bites on my legs so gear up with the repellent! They do give you a repellent for outside our room, but we was bitten in the room and restaurant. Restaurant lacks easy lunch options like sandwiches / pizza to share if you want a cheap and simple lunch.

The hotel is just next to the beach and close to the town centre. The interior design was beautiful with lots of thoughtful touches. The big balcony with hammock and water machine was definitely a nice surprise. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast next to the water every morning. All the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. A big shout out to Shei who greeted us every day with his lovely smiles and helped us organise the scooter and tours with reasonable prices. It’s a shame we didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. Overall we are very happy with our stay at the hotel:)

The wifi was a bit slow and the water in the shower was too gentle.

I loved staying at La Plage, it's like a little beachside boutique hotel in which real care has been taken to provide guests with a comfortable stay, with attention to details like the water cooler on the deck outside the room (this was great!) The staff were so so friendly, and as soon as I arrived I was welcomed in with a nice cold calamansi juice and a stunning view of the sunset from the beachside bar (this place has awesome sunsets, definitely try and be there for at least one!) The room was very comfortable, and despite being a little concerned that there would be noise from the bar at night, this turned out not to be the case and I had a very peaceful night's sleep. The town is just a short trike ride away for getting to island hopping excursion meeting points etc. Thank you La Plage, if I every find myself in El Nido again I will be staying with you again :)

The staff was incredibly helpful, they were always eager to help and even though we asked on short notice, they arranged a tour for us starting from the beach by the hotel and packed us a great lunch. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel rooms were nice, clean and we loved the hammocks outside. The location is also great, close to many other hotels and restaurants on the beach.

As it's a new hotel, there were a few issues with wifi availability in the rooms and electricity shortages (this may not be the fault of the hotel).

This is absolutely the best hotel I've stayed at since my travels in the Philippines. Room was gorgeous. Which the staff cleaned everyday. Food was lovely! Cocktails were incredible. To top everything off their sunset DJ's played the perfect music to see out the sun setting right in front of a beautiful picturesque view. I highly recommend this place! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. 10 out of 10!!

The only recommendation I was suggest is having two pillows. But saying that... I'm sure if I had asked for one the staff would have been more than accommodating. And this is me being extremely pedantic.

We had an amazing stay at La Plage.. to the point we came back after few days.. would stay even longer but unfortunately was fully booked at that time. Our rooms (both times) were stylish, super clean and comfortable! We love the outside balcony, hammock to chill.. little seating area.. food in the restaurants was great and daily menu had lots to choose from..we love the fact you could easily walk everywhere..the reception staff was super helpful with everything!! Getting us scooter, organising bus to the airport etc. We stayed in few palaces around El Nido and this one definitely was one of our favourite!!

Awesome location just a short trike away from town. Rooms were very spacious with great decor. Very traditional feel. Huge balcony with hammock and chairs. Bed was very comfortable. The bar/restaurant/pool area was also a gem. Great for sunset or just lounging around, good music, food and drinks. I fully recommend this place.

Power outage for a few hours but not the hotels fault as they were working on power lines down the street.

The location of the hotel is perfect, best sunset views and close to El Nido town. You can just hop into a tricycle or rent your own scooter to reach El Nido town. The room was well equipped and even had a large balcony. The staff, as well as the owners (who are always on site) were helpful, lovely and very kind. They were always more than happy to answer our questions and help us. The breakfast (especially the pancakes) was out of this world, don't miss it.
