Property was everything I could have wanted, clean, comfortable, convenient, and well equipped. The hosts were communicative and went above and beyond in meeting our needs for a holiday rental. The rental is in a very safe neighborhood, close to public transport and a variety of stores. I especially appreciated the booklet left by the owners that provided information regarding local restaurants, services and other need-to-know information. Look forward to staying again when we return to Amsterdam.

I understand the area is a lovely area and there is little crime but I think there should definitely be a lock on the inside door. someone lives below( owner I believe) but we have no idea who else has access to this apartment and shouldn't just be expected to trust that the area is nice. We slept with a chair against the door at night and had to keep valuables on us at all times because of this. As you have guest from around the world who do not have this level of trust in their surroundings this should be considered, even hotels allow you to lock the door. When paying for somewhere to stay we should be able to feel safe. This was the only downfall but is off putting enough not to return

The location and view were outstanding. We enjoyed our time there. Everything necessary was provided, and it was very comfortable for the 3 of us. We dealt with Meinke and she was extremely helpful with suggestions of places to eat at or visit around Amsterdam. The tram was several blocks away and her explanation of using it was great, and saved us money over using a cab to go places.

We knew going in that it was located on the upper two floors of a 4 level building, and we would have to use the stairs. An elevator would certainly have been easier. I could get the TV turned on and a select of options shown for programming but couldn’t get any of them working. Weather was the only thing I got to watch.

Amazing views from the apartment, nice lighting inside and large living room nicely decorated. Good facilities to cook and enjoy the stay.

The steep stairs to go up the third and fourth floor was quite tiring. The TV Netflix connection comes and goes, was watching a movie, went for dinner halfway and no connection anymore when came back. The owners sometimes less responsive to your questions- asked them how to return the keys which they never replied which felt bad, it was also not mentioned in the house manual.

The view was amazing and we enjoyed the the modern appartment. The living space was excellent. Plenty of room for a family of 4. Beds comfortable. Good standard of cleanliness. Lots of lovely extras provided. Easy 5 min walk to tram stop into the city. Short distance to supermarkets. A great apartment.

We were disappointed by not having a freezer or a full sized oven. As a family who like to cook this affected our enjoyment of the appartment. Didn't like the fact that the inner door to the actual appartment wasn't able to be locked. Didn't feel secure both for ourselves and belongings. Unfortunately we also had a few problems with the key to the main door which was frustrating when returning from a long day out. The owners were supportive but was a hassle we could have done without and wasted valuable time. The dishwasher also stopped draining so had to wash up the rest of the week. Apart from from these issues, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment (just be aware of 3 flights of stairs to access the apartment if you have mobility issues)

Lake View Apartment is a large, very well equipped apartment with amazing views. It is located in a good neighbourhood with great restaurants and easy access to the centre of Amsterdam. A great place to stay!

Though it’s accessible, it’s a very residential area so not so many restaurants etc immediately available

I liked how the property was very close to central Amsterdam and also that it had a supermarket 7 minutes walk away from the apartment. The property was also clean and warm.

nothing to fault on the property

the duplex was comfortable, modern, clean, well-appointed, and had both marvelous views over the water from a two-story picture-window, and a sweet outdoor terrace off the top floor. It was easy to get to from downtown A’dam via a 20-min ride on the 26 tram from Central Station.

The stairs are a bit challenging - but that is the way with upper apartments in Amsterdam!
