The location and room is amazing. Close to bars, restaurants, shopping, mini market and beach. We had one of the top floor rooms with views of the sea. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was well priced and had great variety. Umberto the owner and Conrad are wonderful hosts and made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Umberto takes great pride for his accommodation and is so helpful. We had a great experience and highly recommended.

The location is unbeatable, steps from restaurants and the Balconata with the incredible view of Santa Maria and Rotonda Beach. The hotel itself is a beauty, an historic building with details, clean and spacious rooms with a small fridge, safe and AC, a lovely breakfast area and wonderful staff. Check-in and out was easy. Thank you Umberto, Ana and Gennaro!

Not a complaint nor a reflection of the proprietor but the only access to the rooms is via stairs, which is common in Italy. It wasn’t an issue for us but something to consider if anyone has accessibility concerns.

Location is just perfect, we were at the heart of the of city center. We also liked our room a lot, it is fascinating and authentically designed. Spacy and confy at the same time. The stuffing welcomed us extraordinary friendly and welcoming. If you choose a deluxe apartment you will also have the possibility to enjoy your dring on an almost private roof top in fron of your room.

We´d recommend to ask for a room which does not face the the busy pedestrian area and rather has windows/french balcony on the back yard, bcs. it can be load and crowded on Saturday nights. Night life happens right under your room.

Umberto, the host, could possibly be the most accommodating and helpful host we have ever had through our entire trip in Italy!! It was a pleasure staying here in the unique suite that was in a cave and was right in the middle of the old town.

We were a family of 4 so staying in this suite was fine. If you were 2 couples it could be a bit awkward as there was not a lot of privacy (open concept).

Apart from great location in the heart of Tropea, good breakfast and coffe, lovely and clean room, Umberto was not just a charming hoast, he helped us out when we were in need like he was a good friend or a family. Respect also to his team, Aurora, Apu and Conrado. ❤️ Would recomend, this is what italian hospitality is all about.

Lovely accommodation right in the heart of Tropea Centro Storico. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops right outside the door of the accommodation. Everything is around you. Super friendly host who offered us a free breakfast and gave us access to change for our flight back on the last day.. thank you so much!! Spacious and comfortable room with AC and TV.

Great location - basically in the centre of town or within 5 minutes walk of anything you need. Room was comfortable with cold aircon and good facilities. The staff were all no kind and greet you with a smile. We were always offered a coffee and were made to feel at home. There is no lift, only stairs but for us this was no problem. Would stay here again!

A lovely family-style place in a beautiful old building, very centrally located. Our room was bright and wonderful, with rustic decor and two small terraces, amazing AC and a really nice bathroom. All the little things are perfectly considered, from the outlets near the bed, to the clotheshangers and extra blankets. Excellent restaurants very close, walking distance to dreamy beaches. The proprietor and staff are friendly and accomodating, it’s literally like staying with family.

There is a *lot* of stairs to go up and down with luggage (no lift), and the wifi is a bit unreliable, but that’s understandable in an old building (and worth it!). Some nights, noice from people partying late in the street below kept us awake.

The location was excellent, step out the door and you are in the middle of everything. The owner was a fabulous host.

Bathroom down steps, but when you want this type of location in ancient cities, you’re always going to find things like this. Renovating these old, old buildings to new standards is difficult.

Everything. The place is quaint, perfectly located in the heart of the tourist district amongst restaurants. Clean with great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Finding it initially is a little bit difficult. It's in a pedestrian only zone which is fine - so the taxi can't bring you there. But Google Maps was of little help with the alleyways. Once you know exactly where it is and how the alleyways lineup, it's easy.
