A real boutique hotel experience. Just a few rooms so everything is personalised and never busy. Pool and the rooms amazing. Little beach just next to the hotel. Staff so kind and polite. We extended our stay by one night because it was so lovely. Breakfast and other meals are served privately in the garden/terrace.

We stayed in the main house and it was a bit loud starting from 7am (staff was prepping breakfast). I am a light sleeper so affected me a bit. Another improvement: i asked reception for a place nearby for yoga classes but they couldn’t give me any recommendation.

Our stay at the Eraeliya exceeded our expectations. While it looks cool in the photos, it is even cooler to experience in person. We loved having breakfast on the terrace every morning and the pool is my favorite pool I've ever swam in. The servers, Deen and Rex, added to our stay with their friendliness and exceptional service. Location is great in that it is close to town, but also secluded from the hustle and bustle of Weligama. There are tuk tuk drivers always waiting outside the gate to take you where ever you need to go. I'd recommend staying here 10 out of 10 times and hope to return one day!

When we enter the location we meet a lush and green scenery. The welcome of Eraeliya is warm and informative. The reception feels like to come to someone’s home back in the colonial times. The food is the best about this place, extremely well composed in a platoria of colors, dinner by the pool. Breakfast is served in the most beautiful settings with a beautiful view over the bay and the early morning surfers.

The room we stayed in is a modern glass house, well decorated with a big office table perfect to finish your left emails and then take a shower outside in a well covers area. Unfortunately the little house is not so well sounds proofed, so the night was full of disturbing form the near by street, fighting dogs and animals as well as late night party people having a great time on there way home. We woke up to the Maintanance staff cleaning the sewer system to out bad luck this morning.

Views out to the ocean were incredible, great swimming pool, amazing breakfast and the staff were so accommodating

I never give a 10 on my review but it felt like il be doing injustice if I don’t because this property was so good especially the villa we took, the view and rooms everything was just perfect.

There nothing I dint like but if I had to choose may be dinner in case you miss the 9pm deadline your not getting any food. Another thing is not the property just a caution to travellers the tuk tuks have like a mafia system around the area and charge very high rates even for 2-3 km distance they charge 6000 rs.

This is an AMAZING hotel! We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel was quiet when we went as it was rainy season so we felt like we had the place to ourselves! The staff were all so kind and friendly. We loved Rex as nothing was ever a problem and he did everything he could to make sure we had a great stay! The housekeeping staff: Srimal, Gayan and Kasun made the room beautiful each day which was really appreciated. The food was delicious. The view straight out to sea was stunning. The massage in the spa was exceptional. Dulshan and Tharaka in the front office were very welcoming and helpful. We wished we could have stayed longer! Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough.

We would have preferred to see a few more options on the food menu - but that’s only because we are fussy eaters! The food we did eat was lovely :)

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for a relaxing and comfortable experience. We were served with freshly made delicious meals for Breakfast, lunch and dinner, the highlight was the locally sourced Sri Lankan style mud crab curry and the lobster for our dinner. Fantastic location close to but away from the busy beach of Weligama. Beautifully designed main villa - felt like a sumptuous private home with extensive immaculate gardens, views of sea and infinity pool. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, the breakfast healthy, fresh and flexible on time and place.

Dinner menu quite highly priced compared to other local restaurants, so we were tempted to eat out - I felt for the chef as his food was amazing, we had fresh water crab on the last night , delicious but London prices.

The location is mind blowing with the front sea view, the villa garden and the swimming pool. There is also a beach access. Our room was big, nicely decorated in a colonial style with spa furnitures. The customer has the choice to have breakfast in front of his room on the private terrasse or in the garden which adds to the intimacy. The breakfast was really good!

The staff was a bit slowly reactive and appeared not to be very happy. The first day we had some trouble to find sun beds because there are not enough. The beach access could be improved. The price is quite expensive for a 5 stars hotel and the view compensates it, but the service could really be improved (we had to ask things several times).

This is by far the best stays I have ever had. We were a party of four (two couples) and had opted for the sea facing family villa which huge and private. The beach, the cliff and the pool- everything was picture perfect. A special call out to the exceptional staff who made our stay so comfortable- Housekeeping: Hemantha/ Damith Butlers: Sandun/ Deen/ Praneeth Kitchen: Shan/ Kaveen Front Office: Tharaka If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed, romantic and luxurious stay by the ocean I would highly recommend this place.
