Well maintained and tastefully decorated room. Everything was ready for us. We arrived late (10pm) and then left early the next morning (6:30am), so were only in the room for a brief stay but everything was excellent.
Very old property with outdated bathroom, but everything is well maintained and functional, so it's just a matter of style vs. function. Good location for the ferry if you can't stay in Port Angeles.

Having Live Animals made the experience fantastic. Being nestled in the Mountains makes for Great Scenery. Keyless entry, no need for office checkin or out was also nice!
You asked so now i must think of something, the pathways arent the greates, it was a mix of gravel, wood chips, and mud... so footwear may get dirty. Not a deal breaker at all.

Location was where we wanted to be, it was a last minute reservation and other places were full.
It’s an old facility with not much to look at from the outside. They have fixed up the rooms to be nice for what they are. Rates are a little high for the facilities but they were full which speaks to the busy season in late June.

I never saw a soul! The walls were thin, so I could hear my neighbors, despite them being appropriately quiet. I loved the tasteful decor of my room. It felt more like a B&B (without breakfast) than a hotel/motel.
I was there when the nearby restaurant was closed, so I had to check out earlier to find food in town.

Check in was fully resolved via text - no need to see the office for check in. We arrived and were immediately able to park and enter our room. The room was very cute. I loved the pink toilet, sink, and bath. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were very soft. The property was very cute and the sun shone gorgeously into the room. I wish I could've stayed longer!
There was a bit of noise from other rooms. I suspect if the rooms next door to us were filled that we would've been able to hear our neighbors more, but the hotel provided complimentary earplugs to resolve this issue.

April 2022
We stopped at Emerald Valley Inn on the way to Hoh Rain Forest from Seattle. It was the perfect stopping point for us but it was a bit in the middle of nowhere - which we honestly enjoy. Because it's April, I don't think the property is as beautiful as it would be in later Spring or Summer/Fall. I can tell the property will come to life in a couple of months. The animals were very cute. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was great! The best one of our week-long trip around Washington.
Our only issue was that Granny's Cafe was only doing a takeout window. We specifically did not go back into Port Angeles for a sit-down breakfast because I wanted to try Granny's. I think it would be beneficial for the hotel and Granny's to put up a little banner on their websites or on the greeting paperwork in the room to say they are not open inside. We ended up getting food through the window because we didn't know if there would be any food ahead of us and we did like it, especially the iced coffee! It was just a letdown to have to eat in our room/car when we weren't expecting it. I'm not sure if it was closed because of Covid or not. Not a knock against the inn but it affected our experience just a bit!

we only stayed one night but the room and family farm feel was a nice surprise. Will definitely stay again!
we had problems with getting the door code to work consistently in room 6 but maybe it was user error. haha

Loved the location - nestled in a beautiful valley in the Olympic Peninsula. The room was also super cute and the bed was comfy.
The walls were thin and you could hear people in the room next door. They offered ear plugs, though and I slept very well!

I stayed here because I was going home to Victoria. It was a quick drive to the Port Angeles ferry terminal and worth it! It felt very cozy. Everything that you would need for a comfortable stay was there. John checked me in and was very friendly. I would have loved to stay longer to have more time to explore the beautiful area of the Olympic National Park.
