I couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay in San José. I spent a week in BEE Suites Escalante apartment and I liked it so much. The room is big enough, nicely decorated, clean and there is everything in the kitchen I needed on my weeklong stay. The bed is very good and comfortable. There is a good foostore (Fresh Market) about 5 minute walk from the BEE Suites. The pictures are as good as reality. You should stay in BEE Suites, especially if you have a longer stay than one night. Oh, and the jacuzzi is a perfect place to relax in the 15th floor after long walks you might do during the day. I can't recommend this accommodation enough.

I really don't know. If I have to say something I would say that the fridge was a little bit noisy in the night. But I have a similar sounding one at home so I'm used to that already.

Would definitely stay here again. My rating is 4.5 stars for this type of property. May have rated at 5 stars if there was a safe and dishwasher. Accommodations: Rooms are well equipped with everything I needed to enhance my stay. Upon arrival the room was very clean. I appreciated the fact the windows open and are screened. My room did not have a washer/dryer but there is a laundry room. Plenty of street parking. Gym is small based on my workout needs so I visited the Smart Fit gym at the mall for $13 per day. Clean, modern and well equipped. Bring your passport. Safety: Area near the building is very quiet. It is safe to walk day and night BUT as always stay alert and keep in mind it’s not typical for cars to yield to pedestrians. Communication: I was able to effectively communicate with the property management team via What’s App. I was very surprised how quickly my questions were answered and my concerns were met prior to and during the stay. Security: Building has 24 hour security at the entrance. Very nice folks. I was able to bring in an occasional guest without questions from security. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Location: Building is located in a nice residential area. Only complaint was the occasional barking dogs I could here when the window was open. San Pedro mall is an easy 15-20 walk, worth the trip. Also nearby is a great area for food and drinks on Calle 33 (street name). On Calle 33 and some of the adjacent side streets you’ll find a significant number of restaurants and bars that stretch several blocks. Downtown San Jose is 10 minutes away via car. Misc:

I loved the key code to enter the room. Room was very clean and had great amenities. There are restaurants, shops, and activities close by. I found a cute art studio next to a vegan shop that had classes where you can make your own jewelry or artwork, pretty cool!

It would’ve been nice to know more about the area, maybe some tours provided by the hotel or info about local places offering classes etc. The hot tub is a nice bonus on the rooftop but could’ve been a tad a larger looks to fit only about 3-4 ppl max.

Excellent apartment - modern, clean, very well equipped, in great condition, great view and quiet. Seems very secure and the "concierge" staff at the entrance to the building were very helpful. Although I didn't use it, the property has a very secure parking garage. Will definitely stay here again

The neighborhood was a bit run down, and wasn't sure about how secure it would be to walk to the fabulous neighboring restaurant area in Escalante at night. I took an Uber. It would be helpful if there was a sundries or small shop/vending machine on site to buy snacks etc

Beautiful apartment, I had a room on the 13th floor with a nice lookout. The room is very nice with aircon and the bed was very comfortable. It's also in an amazing location, close to some nice cafe's and bars en still on walking distance to the shopping street. Host was not on the premises, but communication was easy enough via messaging. On the day we arrived we got a message with all the instructions, which was pretty straightforward. Great place, I would come again

I missed a water cooker. There was a little basket with tea and grounded coffee, but no kettle to be found. Soap was provided, but no washing up liquid. I also didn't find any basic kitchen supplies, like oil. I received a message that I would receive some fresh bread at 8:30. Very nice touch, but at 8:45 nothing had arrived so I decided to go and explore the city, hoping I would find the bread at lunchtime on the doorstep. This was not the case. Nice gym and Jacuzzi on the rooftop level, but the gym is very small.

Everything! The most brilliant serviced apartment I've stayed in (: Check-in was seamless - arrived at the reception late at night from the airport and the staff there spoke some basic English. Very polite and helpful. Prior to my arrival, I had already received an email regarding the check-in process such as the door code to enter my bedroom. I liked this idea as it was highly efficient and fuss-free without requiring a key. The facilities were great! Small but good gym with basic equipment, great jacuzzi as well on the rooftop (: There is also a workspace on the rooftop. The entire premise was spacious and clean. The bedroom was so spacious and comfortable. I could stay in there all day! The reception staff have been exceptional. Whenever I ordered UberEats delivery, they would be happy to receive the orders for me. Overall, an exceptional stay and I will definitely return if I'm back at San Jose (:

The Management Staff communicated with us by WhatsApp way before we arrived at the facility and continued to be available throughout our stay, a great service provision. This is a modern apartment block where parking is provided by a parking lift at the property. Reception is manned with people who can provide a number of services if required, but the theme is on self service which we liked. Having travelled for some weeks in Costa Rica, the BEE Suites had an excellent self service laundry facility which we took advantage of. The apartment block is in the Barrio Escalante area, which has many restaurants and bars only a 10 min walk away from the apartment block and is safe to walk around at night. This is a hidden gem on the outskirts of San Jose that is good quality and well serviced accommodation. Highly recommended.

I think I have already reviewed this property. I stayed here, left, and came back. The rate is cheaper on Booking.com than on their website. This is a brand new modern (relatively) high end property. For Americans, I will describe it as high-end Ikea furnishings that are brand new and spotless. Best high end TV I have found yet in San Jose, super comfortable high end bed, spotless wi-fi, 24 hour doorman, and gorgeous roof top with BBQ and gym and outdoor space. I have to spend 2 weeks in San Jose and I have stayed at 4 properties. This one is the best value. Supermarket and restaurants are 4 blocks away. Great views and wide open windows.

The property is on a hill in a residential area that is considered very safe. However, you have to walk three blocks to reach the bars and restaurants. Because it is a middle to upper middle class neighborhood, the residents do not walk through the streets. Therefore, if you have no car, you are walking through a nice and safe neighborhood by yourself until you reach the bars and supermarkets. I did not feel comfortable walking by myself at night. Ubers are $3 so it shouldn't matter.

- spacious room with lovely decor - very comfortable bed - quiet area - amazing roof top with great coffee maschine and ice dispenser - all the kitchen appliances you could think of - someone was always available via WhatsApp - complementary bread on the first morning

- our room was on the 2nd floor near the laundry room which could get a bit noisy at times - either there was no WiFi on the rooftop or it didn’t work when we were there - noisy fridge (so we just pulled the plug) - some things should be fixed: the blinds didn’t work, the towel rail was loose, TV wasn’t working

Amazing modern apartments with incredible views. So clean and spacious, we stayed here when we first arrived in Costa Rica and it was perfect for what we wanted. The roof terrace was wonderful (though we couldn’t work out how to turn the outdoor lights on) my husband used the gym and said it was basic but had what he wanted, parking and building is very secure and safe. The man on reception at check in was helpful and friendly. Location is in the middle of Escalante with lots of great food places and bars as well as a lovely farmers market a couple of blocks away. The coffee from the machine on the terrace level was so good I’m still talking about it now! Best coffee I’ve ever had. Beds very comfortable and the rooms have everything you need. Highly recommend!

Hard to think of anything really, maybe clearer signage as wasn’t overly easy to find as I don’t think it had BEE Suites on it anywhere but that’s just nit picking as it was honestly wonderful!! Had a brilliant night sleep here
