I had a cottage: Location is pretty remote! I was there alone and the first night was tough… lots of wildlife directly in front of the door making a bit of noise all night. The second night I already got used to it and enjoyed it! Bed is cozy, kitchen well equipped.

Just minor points: The floor in the cottage was not 100% clean. Also I could not use the pool because there were constructions (off-season), but this was not problem for me. Please note: no service/internet in the cottage,

BOOK NOW,YOU WONT REGRET IT 10/10 Amazing property, Anna, the owner was friendly and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable 😴 nice after a day's hiking exploring all the different trails. Ferns also provides volleyball,basketball, tennis, canoeing with out a long process to get equipment as sports shed remains open you help yourself and return so simple. FERNS HIDEAWAY 10/10

The public spa was out of order, however we had a spa bath on room. So no big deal, Not am issue really.

Each cabin was very private with great parking, we had a trailer with and there was plenty of room. The gardens and property on a whole was extremely well maintained and beautiful. Very relaxing to have a fireplace and great it was cold enough to enjoy

Couldn’t get spa bath to work, not sure if that was an extra but as it was in our room wouldn’t have thought so. Road in was pretty rough maybe some warning, and that was with us driving very slow

Beautiful property with a river down the back which you can zip around in canoes all afternoon then chill on the bank on nice chairs in the shade and enjoy wine and cheese. The cabins are very private and lots of cool activities to do like tennis basket ball and other grass games. Nice little In ground pool and the beds are comfortable with nice linen…

We loved the peaceful location. It was easy to find, the cabins are located in their own little bit of heavenly privacy and very comfortable. Made for relaxing and watching the birds. The whole Byfield area is beautiful. Well worth revisiting when we have more time.

Peace and quiet. Cabins were great to get the feeling of how people used to live in log cabins. Some information would be good to read about the history of log cabin building.

Would have liked a radio for abit of background music. Walked on all the tracks to find nothing of interest. Would have liked to swim in the creek either at Ferns or nearby creeks but not accessible by sedan car.

We loved our stay in the Banksia cottage. It was so private, relaxing and even had its own firepit. We took our 3 year old and she loved it! Especially all the free sports equipment you can borrow. We'll definitely be back!

The peace and tranquility was wonderful. A true escape from the hustle and bustle of life. The cabin was fairly well appointed and well presented for its age.

The spa bath wasn’t overly comfortable and taking a shower was awkward. Having seats around the fireplace outside would be great (log seats etc) and the fridge lacked a couple of missing shelves.

The dream Cottage! Cozy, clean and efficient. We had everything we needed. Tea tree bathing and rain water to drink were big highlights for us! The bed was also so comfy :))

What a magical place! We stayed in the pioneer cabin and were so impressed with the accomodation and facilities. Wayne and Anna are such lovely people. Can’t wait to come back :)
