This hotel was very nice and all the staff members were very nice and helpful. Despite of being so central and close to the train station, the hotel was very quiet. The breakfast provided a good variation of food and was well filled up all the time. It was very good!

I personally would love to have some more warm foods such as bacon, sausages and fried of scrambled eggs. The prices for the accommodation and parking went up recently and I don't think that I can afford to stay in this lovely hotel during or next stay next year...

It was great to arrive and be greeted with a smile - it really makes a huge difference to everyone’s day. The staff here are top class and extremely helpful. The room was excellent and the view over the lake from the balcony was as expected. The breakfast provided fresh local produce including cheese, croissants and pastries. Coffee here is varied and great. In addition to all this the property supplied us with a Ticino card which we used on a very rainy day to visit Lugano which is a bonus. We highly recommend this property as its location is on a bus route and only a few minutes from the train station and boat demarcation point - this is a 5🌟 venue. Thankyou for a pleasureable experience - pity about the weather. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Because of its name "Garni", I did expect a mediocre facility, but was really pleasantly surprised by this full-service facility. Excellent location (even on foot) easily reached by car or public transport; with availability of parking (CHF 11/day) in the garage for about 10 cars and another 5 or so outside; The receptions staff is incredibly professional, yet very friendly and helpful. The breakfast-room is large enough to accommodate the guests at sit-down tables....there is a great selection of cold-cuts, cheeses, bread, eggs, cereal, juices, and coffees. The facility is equipped with an efficient, noiseless elevator. The rooms are well equipped, very clean, comfortable bed.....all told a very pleasant stay....I shall return

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an enjoyable stay. Touring by car we booked the garage space in advance which occupies part of the ground floor. Location to the town is a short stroll downhill where there are plenty of places to eat etc. Our room faced out over the lake with a balcony and seating and room was comfy and clean. At breakfast we had plenty of choice with good service. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

For us there was nothing to dislike although some may not like the incline back uphill to the hotel.

Very clean and lots of room, air conditioning worked fantastic and the bathroom was big and closed off from the room. It also had a balcony. Everything seemed new and in great condition. Elevator available and bar at the entrance. Beds very comfy although I'm sad about the single beds put together instead of one big doublebed. Mind the gap haha. Mini fridge and safe. Plenty of space for wardrobe and luggage.

We had a night stay at Hotel Garni Muralto and would definitely recommend it for a stay in Locarno. The rooms are perfectly sized for a couple and the one in which we stayed on the 4th floor had an awesome view. The location is perfect, just 3 mins walk away from the Locarno station, but still away from all the buzz. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast had decent variety with cold cuts, fruits, assortment of yogurts, boiled eggs and breads. They even had gluten free muesli. They provide the Ticino ticket with which you can take the local transport for travel in the canton of Ticino.

Hotel is in walking distance to all major restaurants and lake shore. Room was nice ,not to big but perfect for 1 night stay.It also had fully supplied fridge with drinks which was a bonus It was quiet hot ,we didn't realized the room had an central AC. We found out in the morning, but we slept with open windows,so it wasn't that bad. It was our fault after all anyways.... Bathroom was spacious,nice and clean. There is a parking fee of 15 CHF, but that's to be expected for the location. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, very tasty. Hotel staff and the lady assisting with breakfast all were very nice and pleasant . If we are in the are,we will definitely stay there again

Parking garage spots to tight if you've bigger vehicle

All staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful, including with info about the town, recommendations, etc. Room was very nice, *very* clean, and we had a nice view. Hotel was quiet, we never had sound problems from other rooms, and location was great, 5 min stroll to "downtown", the main piazza, restos, etc. Parking was provided off-street in a clean garage to keep car safe. Breakfast buffet was very good, dining room was clean and nice with views of the street, with surprisingly good cappuccino, latte, etc, for auto-machine-made. When we checked in, someone had stolen our parking spot, and staff was very helpful and efficient, went out of their way to resolve it **immediately** for us.

We didn't see any negatives. There is unfortunately nowhere to park for 5 - 10 mins during check-in, you've got to have someone babysit the car, but that is the same with all hotels we stayed with on this trip, it seems very common in Europe.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was better than expected. Plenty of brochures and information available including free bus services around town.

There were no road signs leading to the hotel from the train station. Google maps helped. Booked a double bed but was given two single beds joined together.

One of the best hotels (quality/price) in Locarno. The room had air-condition, was clean and had a huge balcony with lovely view to the lake. Hotel is central to Locarno. Staff was very kind and attentive. Breakfast had everything you needed.

A coffee machine in the room would be appreciated.
