Close to Part Dieu station, 7 minutes by foot. Perfect if you go somewhere by train or bus. Tram to/from the airport also stops on the station. The bus stop or tram to the city centre is 3-7 minutes walk from the hotel. It takes 15-20 minutes to go to the old town. Neighbourhoods is fine, not many options of restaurants, but supermarket is open till 22 (not often in Europe). Room is big enough and looks more like apartment - you can cook there if needed, wardrobe is also big to store all your clothes.

I was confused with payment process. It was said on the web site that I’ll be able to pay cash, but when I arrived I was asked to use card that I use for booking. We discussed other options and I almost was rejected to stay though I did reservation correctly and had money to pay for stay. Be careful and have your credit card with you, cash is not always an option even if it’s said on the official web site.

The air con was extremely good, bed was comfy, apartment was big and kitchen facilities were handy. Also there was a clothes horse to help dry clothes after washing which was only 4 euro. Very nice place particularly for the price.

One of the power outlets melted my phone charger and smelt like it would've caught fire if I hadn't noticed. Worked fine the first 2 days, 3rd day I plugged it in and that happened. Bathroom smelt a little funky. Kitchen dishes, utensils etc were a bit of a mish mash, no forks, no bowls, I was able to make do with what was there. No coffee or tea in the room, bought my own.

Easy walking distance from the train station and bus lines. Friendly staff. Very clean room. Well-equipped kitchen for the kind of facility. I didn't recommend the rooms for a romantic holiday because they are basic. No frills. But the location is romantic and close to so many lovely places to visit.

My refrigerator did not work and I counted on being able to keep some simple supplies as I worked in my room for part of each day. The staff were sympathetic, but the hotel was full and they couldn't move me to another room.

It is within walking distance of the main station even for us oldies - would have helped more if our sense of direction was more accurate though! We used the trains alot while there and recommend them for getting around. The room was quite spacious and has all the facilities we needed. Also window opened. The front desk was always manned and staff helpful. Two lifts meant no waiting when coming and going. Room was clean.

We had no issues with the Hotel and its operation.

Reception was always available and the receptionists always helpful. They also helped us in suggesting which parts of the city go to visit and which (type of) restaurants would be the traditional ones (les bouchons Lyonnaise).

Amount of towels was initially too low for a 2-guests room and we had to ask for more. They provided them without any problem. :) Unfortunately the wall sockets were different to what I was expecting there but maybe it is just too much time I have not been in France (?) (I expected EU sockets).

Pretty nice stay in a calm street right next to Part Dieu. Kind people, clean and well maintained. I've been in other Montempo locations and it's what I expected. The kitchenette worked great, but some extra glass, dish, etc would be welcome.

The rooms are not sound proof, at least mine. My appartment and the one next to it seemed joined by a locked door (maybe it's in case someone decides to rent both of them). The thing is that you could hear everything from the other room. Hopefully my neighbour was a pretty calm and silent person.

The room was adequate for our purpose. We wanted somewhere close to the train station (walking distance-which this was and was smooth and flat), and where we were picking up the car, this hotel was perfect. Was it flash no, but bed was clean, we like a firm bed so the slightly soft bed was not to our likening, but we slept okay. The bathroom was very clean, and water hot, and the towels were clean. This room was perfect for our requirements.

The room had everything we needed in it and the size was just right Staff at the front desk were always helpful

There was only one washing machine for the whole complex and when we went to use it, someone had left them washed clothes and not remove them We told the Front desk and they said not touch them until they come back which took more than one hour waiting. They need to come up with a better system.

The hotel was extremely well located, just 4 minutes walking distance from the railway station. The staff was nice and ready to help us with our requests. The room is spacious and is equipped if you need to cook something. Another asset are the blinds which make the room completely dark. Breakfast is simple but honest. Wifi works well.

The cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved: removing the traces of mold from the shower tiles would already encourage clients to stay longer in this facility. And a nice, but cheap way, to give another vibe to the room would be to repaint the room walls with a softer and cozier colour (even warm white will work ;) )

The front desk personnel speak English and are helpful and informative with directions. I highly recommend this hotel. Walking distance from Lyon Part Dieu Train Station. Convenient location with bus access 100m away. I like the breakfast menu, it comes with a variety of drinks and a healthy choice of food.

The only downside is that there is no housekeeping throughout my stay.
