The location is fantastic

Breakfast is not good enough and there are onky few varieties. They must need to add up more options for a good breakfast

Great Location, breakfast had excellent variety, clean.

When we made our reservation 3 months in advance, we asked for a room with city view. The hotel replied back, that they were trying to accommodate our request. They did not and did not even notify us ahead of time. Our window was opening to a small smelly lightwell , with a restaurant’s kitchen opening to the lightwell on the first floor.. Getting fresh air to the room was futile. Also the two twin beds are permanently attached, if you don’t want to sleep in the same bed with your companion, it’s something to consider. We booked our room through booking, paid for it right away, but we got several messages that our reservation was to be cancelled if we don’t pay the hotel directly.

The location is unbeatable- right in the centre of the centre, everything within walking distance. The lovely receptionist on the ground floor helped me with the taxi, she even went out with me- there were police cars in the front and taxi couldn’t park. Breakfast was adequate for the price- would’ve loved to see some other fruit (like in the photo)-other than just oranges. Wifi was great.

I went to ground floor receptionist on my second day to ask if I can pay cash for local buses- and he couldn’t tell me. Maybe it was his lack of English… Got my answer from Google.

Location is perfect. Considering the balcony was on the Gran Via, it was quite quiet. The room was small but clean. It had air conditioning, a fridge and it met our needs since we did not spend much time in the room.

We noticed that we could not charge our electronics if we did not have the key card in. That meant that we could only charge electronics when we were in the room. I asked about this and they told me that I could get an extra key card and leave it in so we could charge electronics while we were visiting the city. That was very good BUT I had to ask. They should have informed guests about this when checking in.

The hotel is in a perfect location! Plenty to see in walkable distance and if you're lucky and get the top floor corner room, then you get a fabulous view onto Gran Via / Zara / Plaza de España. Metro is within 2 mins walk. Very convenient. Rooms are spacious and bedsheets/towels are very fresh. I was quite impressed by the memory foam pillows! Despite the typical street noise, I was able to sleep very well at night. You must keep in mind that the hotel is located in an old building that has been refurbished and be ready to ride in a small retro-fitted elevator, or run up and down the stairs. Gauge your expectations and you would not be disappointed.

The location is excellent, right on Gran Via street, close to center + to metro station on foot (which can be used for airport transportation). The room was very clean + had a nice little balcony. Even though it was on the small side, it was pretty comfortable for the 2 of us. There is also luggage storage.

Not all of the reception staff was speaking English. There was only one bath product, which was not the best. When I used the hair dryer, the power in the room went out until the hair dryer cooled off (this happened 2 times while I was drying my hair)

The location of the hotel is very good but a word of warning: as you might expect from such a central location, it can be quite noisy at night. On the positive side, it's situated very close to the Plaza de Espana and you can walk to all the main sites in Madrid including the Museo del Prado and the Palacio Real. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds were comfortable, but I will ensure that if I stay here again I chose a room that doesn't face inwards - the ones that have a balcony and more natural light are much nicer. One of the things that I most enjoyed was the breakfast, which offered a good range of choices including hot food and a range of pastries.

The only thing I didn't like was that the second room I stayed in faced inwards towards the other side of the building and consequently there was very little natural light. However, the first room I stayed in had a balcony overlooking Gran Via, which was really great.

Location location location. And everything was fair, great value for money. It’s not Four Seasons, but the room has a comfortable bed, tv, AC, a large and actually very nice bathroom, the breakfast was intimate with an excellent view, wide variety of food, not only supermarket cheese and meats. It is perfect for a tourist. Metro station Plaza de España is right in front of the building, it’s in the middle of gran via near riu hotel , walking distance to everything, it is perfect!! The stuff is very nice, when we stayed is was cold in Madrid and our ac did not heat, I asked at the reception and they fixed it within minutes. They have 24/7 open reception. Very safe. Again, don’t expect luxurious experiences and interior design in the rooms, it’s very functional. Best kind of functional!

It’s nothing actually, they have two very small elevators and it can get quite busy. But, hey, on the plus side, it has elevators, and you don’t have to carry the luggage on the stairs.

The location is amazing, right next to Plaza de Espana, with plenty of amenities nearby. Despite being right on Gran Via, our room was facing the courtyard and was quiet. The staff was kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean.

Our room was a bit small. It wasn't an issue in my case, but may be inconvenient for someone. It's best to warn them about your arrival time, especially if it is at odd hours. We arrived just after 7 am, the receptionist wasn't there, and the entrance door was locked. We ended up going for breakfast and returned an hour later.

The location is excellent, next to a metro station and situated in the most iconic street of Madrid. Many shops and supermarkets close. The room was tidy and fresh, although relatively small, I couldn’t complain, it had everything necessary. Not to mention, the price for the stay, location and the breakfast offer, is perfect.

At times, you could hear other guests talking or walking in the hallway. The distribution of the property was a little confusing at first, but we got our way around.
