Location was very convenient close to the BTS (Nana) and MRT (Sukhumvit). Room was clean and spacious. We stayed here 4 nights, however on our 3rd nights there was a strong smell of marijuana from the corridor (might be from other guests'room) into our room. It was quite smelly and unpleasant experience.

+ clean. :) + price. :) + air-condition. :) + closed Nana station. :) + VERY good pool! :) + good wi-fi. :) + good bath! :) + good bed. :) + you can watch nice sunsets on the roof. :)

- it is really noisy inside. :/ I heart many times other guests a lot and also cars or people from street.... so I recommend to sleep with ear plugs. - cleaning service once cleaned floor behind my door round 23:00! And I wanted to sleep already... :/

Strategically nestled in Bangkok's vibrant center, this hotel is a gem for travelers, offering easy access to the city's finest dining in Soi 8 and mere steps away from the Nana BTS Train Station—your gateway to the city from Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The rooms feature wide windows that open fully on all floors. While this allows for ample natural light and fresh air, it also poses a significant safety risk. There is a danger of accidental falls, especially from the upper stories, which could lead to severe injuries. I recommend that the hotel install safety locks or protective barriers on these windows as a precautionary measure to prevent any such incidents.

The Promenade is one of the few old school places left in Nana area. Just like “The Atlanta” in Soi 2, the “Crown BTS Nana” or “The Ambassador” in Soi 11 the hotel has the good, old Bangkok flair with a wooden lobby and a chandelier, spacious rooms, window fronts which can be opened widely and comfortable bedding. The staff was very kind throughout our stay: the concierge bringing an ashtray to the entrance without asking, the cleaning staff placing water bottles daily in front of the “Do not disturb” sign, flexible check out times with no overcharged rate. White cotton towels and sheets, a brand new quiet A/C, flat screen TV, plenty of lights, a large mirror in the bedroom, 8! international electricity plugs (3 next to the bed), toiletries, cold and clean fridge, water boiler, shelving for all your stuff, and the fastest internet we had in BKK with your own router in your room. Dark curtains keep the room cooler and in night mode if you spent too much time in bars. The water pressure is perfect. The rooftop pool with a spectacular view over empty lots and the skyline is small but perfectly fine for a refreshing dip. There is an elevator so no need to carry your luggage. Unlike many hotels in the area The Promenade is in a more quiet part of Soi 8 but still close to 7-eleven, streetfood, Nana BTS and various restaurants/massage places. If you are lucky to get a decent room rate between 1.100 and 1.400 THB don’t hesitate to book. We prefer the authentic and historical vibe to too modern, cheap interior, small rooms so I guess we come back.

The Promenade gets five stars but there are a few things which could be improved: 1. Instead of brown roof top floor paint and cushioning it should be light beige or light grey or even white as the temperature heats the floor to a painful hot level. 2. I missed some plants on the roof top which would make a great atmosphere. 3. The shiny lacquer finish on the room desks and shelves makes things get stuck if placed too long on one spot. Better would be to grind down the lacquer and use furniture oil once in 6 months or a glass board with a decorative layer underneath. 4. A water refill station in each floor aisle would be great to avoid the daily plastic bottles. One could choose to refill or ask for new bottles. Anyway, we enjoyed the stay. 🙏

Great hotel. Fantastic location in a great soi close to all the activity. The rooms and hotel are old but it's well looked after. The rooms were super clean with all the stuff you need and none of the nonsense you don't. The price is great and the sliding scale for late check out is an excellent idea. Staff are friendly, attentive and happy to help with requests. If you want to be in the thick of it but you're looking for a budget option, this would be it.

The ubiquitous water gun in the toilet was not available in our room. This the only real gripe and its a minor one at that.

I was able to get a taxi door to door to and from the hotel. When I left there were several taxi drivers operating in the street outside who were all fighting for my business. It cost only 1300bht from the hotel to Pattaya a 2hr drive and the taxi driver had to pay 340 bht toll charges out of that which left him with 960 bht ie less than £22 for 2 passengers in total. The hotel has a restaurant opposite most of which is located in an outside garden setting and it provides meals at very reasonable prices. Breakfast starts at 11am for the full monte at less than £6 and it is open until about 12 midnight for evening meals. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from Nana Plaza the entertainment centre of the area and a 10 minute walk to skytrain. It is also about half an hour walk to the MRT. There is a small pool on the rooftop with space to sunbathe which is ideal for children. The rooms are a reasonable side with good quality furniture though it is a bit outdated. Our room was cleaned every day and our bedding changed regularly. It was left made up very neatly with three chambermaids cleaning it all together. If it was raining the hotel always provided us with an umberella.

I could not find one word of criticism

The location was excellent. It was 3-4 minutes walk from Nana BTS. It was a well lit road with lots of shops and restaurants, not some dodgy alley. The main street was not noisy. My room was facing the street, but I had a peaceful sleep. Room was very clean. Linen and towels were clean. Bed was comfortable. Staffs were nice. Water pressure was good. Nothing one can dislike. I do not like central Bangkok, however if I need to stay in this area, I will definitely book this hotel again.

They don't provide breakfast. If you pay by card, they will charge 5% processing fee. I understand that banks charge the fee. However, you should tell the customer about the fee before they book the room, not once they book it

Quaint and welcoming, full of wood paneling and old-world charm. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooftop pool was a wonderful feature at mid-day, after a morning excursion and before a nightly adventure. Wonderfully convenient location on Sukhumvit soi 8. Walking distance from Nana Plaza, major shopping areas, nightlife, and metro intersection.

I feel bad even saying that it was a bit noisy, as that is the price one pays to be near the action, and it wasn't even that bad. It is somewhat of a distance from major cultural attractions (Wat Arun, Royal Palace, etc.). Being close to both main metro lines makes up for this, IMHO.

Kind staff and cleanliness. Reliable information about how to move in the area and reach the Benjakitti park and Green Mile (see the opening hours of the church's parking lot gate in the picture). Speedy service and they allowed me to check in early as soon as the room was ready.

Actually it was better than I expected. No construction works right now.I know the area and at night a bit of noise is normal especially on the lower floors on the street side. In addition I knew that recently some buildings around the hotel had been demolished. So, I expected even more noise on the backside and chose a room on the front but it wasn't necessary.

Small hotel, friendly staff, safety deposit boxes in reception which need two keys to open one held by management the other held by the customer. No charge for deposit boxes. Lovely open air restaurant opposite opens 11am for breakfast £6-25p for the full monte. It closes about midnight. Only 10 min walk to Stumble Inn with live bands and Nana Plaza. Close to overhead monorail system. Popular eating and tourist area. Small rooftop swimming pool if you wish to indulge. Don't worry about no breakfast there are loads of places to eat in the same street and adjacent street.

The weather but they give you a brolly if it rains
