I loved this place. It's traditional Thai mixed with luxury. We had a pool room and I wish we had booked to stay longer. The food was great and the staff lovely. I would love to stay here again. The booking.com photos don't do this place justice.

We couldn't get WiFi in our room. No room service before 11am. Taxi's arranged by the hotel were very expensive.

Location is perfect, close to the beach, airport. You can be often totaly alone on the beach, with hundreds of meters between you and other people. Rooms are clean, spacey and for thai standarts overall very good.

The hotel is always full of russian tourists, so you will be unfortunately witnesses of their horrible behaviour...especially during breakfasts.

The pools are great, the rooms are the best I've stayed in and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked a meal in the hotel, this was a mistake. We had to send back 5 meals altogether, some under cooked, some over cooked and one cold. We summoned the manager who consulted his staff after which he offered 10% off the bill. As this had spoilt the whole evening we eventually, after some discussion managed to get a 30% reduction. This isn't the first time they have been criticised for their poor food, but I can't believe they haven't done anything about it. The breakfast was fine.

Spacious and great big pool! Quiet local and friendly helpful staff.

It was a little run down and needed TLC and some deep cleaning.

Awesome fun place, pool surrounds the whole thing, hydro slide is fun, nice room on the whole! Restaurant was good. Very yummy breakfast! The beach is really nice!! Its a very chill place in Thailand, not much to do compared to south Phuket, good place to unwind. Staff responsive to any issues we had.

There was a gross algae type thing growing in he drain on our balcony. Smelt awful. I notified reception and they got it cleaned up by the next day- but, they could have sorted it sooner or given us a discount. Secondly, when we were checking out, the people who were supposed to take our bags to the front (it's a big place to walk with all your luggage) never turned up for an hour so we ended up having to walk them ourselves to reception - this made us a bit rushed to catch our flight. Overall, not a big deal, but something they could work on - having more staff at reception would help with this issue. I would still recommend maikhao palm resort and enjoyed it so much. Such a fun place to stay with the pool at the bottom of every set of stairs. Also beautiful decor ❤️

Fabulous hotel with amazing swimming pools and facilities for kids and grown-ups alike. We stayed in ground floor with a swim-up entrance to the pool (moat) and that was a lovely aspect. Staff were super-helpful and the beach was lovely. Great place to stay with a quiet location (no nightlife as such - which is you're looking to relax is perfect. - Town is five minute tuk-tuk ride with eateries and restaurants dotted about - and not far from the airport (15 minute cab ride). Recommended for a very chilled out stay. Buffet is basic and a bit so-so, so go and eat in the a la carte restaurant or outside in the many places around serving authentic spicy and non-spicy thai food (which is cheap and amazing).

Hotel was quite huge and our room was a five minute walk from reception - but they do offer a shuttle service on their electric cart ;-)

I like that the hotel/resort is close to the beach and it was relatively close to the airport. We also like that there were so many options for travels. We do like the pool in the front side. The hotel is close to a stretch of road that has all the necessity stores and you do not have to go to the main street for buying products. We had the free breakfast which is a plus.

The bigger pool in the back looks great but some area were too close to the hotel rooms and there were constant cleaning or repair during our stay. The abandoned buildings near the hotel are a little creepy. It is super close to the hotel as well. The beach front is blocked by trees lines so you can barely see the ocean view.
