Free parking is available close by. Room has everything one might need to have to be there just for sleeping. The pub downstairs has good quality food. Breakfast is rather late but there is a cafe nearby were you can take breakfast to go.

We occupied Room 4. The room was clean and double bed comfortable. Bathroom was sufficient and the extra touches - shower gel, hand soap, coffee, tea etc. made us feel welcome. Access to the building was easy and parking close by was easily accessible. The location was good and the accommodation quiet and peaceful.

My mom is 90 years of age and the many steps posed a bit of a challenge. The single bed was a bit tired and the room a little crammed. The fact that the restaurant only opened at 11:00 for breakfast caused a huge inconvenience. Most travelers would like to be on the road before that.

Overall a decent stay in the twin room. Check in was contact free and received a text prior to inform details on how to retrieve room key. I found the bed to be comfy and slept fairly well. Room size was adequate and amenities were good. Also we ate at the pub which served great food. Would definitely recommend eating and drinking here

The shower head kept dropping down and wouldn't stay in place. Had to set it straight so it wasn't facing downwards. Due to the old style windows you could hear noise from the road and there were a few birds trying to grab their breakfast from the bins at the front of the property which wasn't closed fully.

We stayed at The Black Bull as we were attending a wedding nearby.The rooms were newly refurbished and lovely and fresh and clean We were sent a welcome text in the morning letting us know how to access keys to the room. Then a very nice lady was there when we arrived and made sure we were comfy and turned the heater on in my room as it was a very cold day. We were also allowed a slightly later checkout which was helpful. The beds were really comfy. Food in the Coorie Inn next door was nice but I'd avoid the Peking Inn across the road

The rooms were close to the which was slightly noisy as the windows aren't double glazed but it wasn't too bad. Pillows were a bit lumpy compared to the lovely bed and duvet

Our room was clean, and facilities very good. Comfortable bed, large screen tv, plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits. Secure access, however, external staircase to our room, but this did not cause us any problems. Communication from the proprietor and staff was exceptional. There was a minor electrical issue with our room before we arrived , and we were informed before arrival, this was dealt with by qualified electrician very quickly. We have stayed here before when visiting friends in the village, and I cannot fault the accommodation or staff. Exceptional value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay

We found our room to be too hot, and could not control the temperature. We did however manage to prop the window open to help cool the room down.

Convenient overnight stop on our drive down to Heysham. Keysafe access was well explained. Our room was clean and had a good shower, plus two comfy single beds. Pretty quiet, despite being on a High Street and near several eateries.

Room was small and tv was on the wall between the beds so hard to watch. Access was via a fire escape-style staircase and a bit awkward with heavy suitcases. Parking was available on the street outside, but only overnight, so we parked about 3 minutes’ walk away, through a little alleyway.

There was an arrangement of condiments in the room. The shops were on the doorstep as such. The room/bathroom was spotlessly clean and lovely spreaded bed.

Didn't spread to any staff face to face. Recieved an message earlier in the day, that was it. The room was immaculate. However, the decorations in the bathroom(stick on tiles in the BR let the room down). I understand everyone has different preferences, but duvet and pillows could have been a bit more plump. Heavier tog!! I'm sorry 😞. You could hear the movement of people above. Lol And maybe a later booking out time. We were part of a wedding party and read check out at 11. We'd had to get up early to go and find a place that did breakfast as the pub was still closed, so we were running behind. Overall, it was lovely stay. 9/10 *

Thia little pub was lovely. The food from the attached Coorie Inn was first class. We had a meal in there on the Saturday night with family and we all enjoyed it and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great too, the best french toast ive ever had. Parking was great too and free.

Couldnt fault anything apart from the cracked tile in our shower room but we noticed new ones ready to replace. I would definately stay here again.

It was in a conservation village, quaint and small but had sufficient parking. Compact, clean n tidy room with servicing done each day. The housekeeping services did a great job, refreshing the room each day with supplies. Nice place and good value for the price paid.

The window of our room was directly above the pub so a bit of noise was expected. We stayed Monday to Friday. It was only very noisy on Friday night.

Cosy, warm room with an extremely comfortable bed. Plenty of refreshments and fresh towels provided. Shower nice and warm with good pressure. Located in a lovely little village.

It was a little noisy due to kids in the room above but I understand it's quite difficult to stop children making noise. I also didn't address this with Jacqueline for her to move me or anything which was a personal decision. I was perfectly comfortable in my room and the noise did calm after a couple of days. I just wanted to flag that noise can travel in this accommodation and may disturb some.
