The location and the view from both the restaurant and the room was breathtaking. The bathroom was small, but clean and had all nessessary amenities, the bed was comfortable.

The room could have had some wall hooks, since there was only a small rack, but if you hang anything there the clothes are in the way when you are walking in the room. There was so much of wall space and I think hooks would have been a better/extra option.

- Awesome view to the Fjord - Excellent customer service. Everyone is super friendly and helpful - Good dinner and breakfast - They let us get early check-in without extra charge - The sauna is private/you rent it for you a certain hour (only for you and the nice view)

- The rooms are a little small if you are traveling with your dog. - At late night we were cold and since they didn’t have extra blankets in the room, we went to reception to ask for one but it was closed. But, there was a sign saying that you can call to xxx phone number if you need anything, which we did, but they said it was closed… so we didn’t understood then why you offer a phone number if you are not going to help with that…. Finally we slept with clothes 😅

Amazing views in this 1960's historic building. The owners were super helpful and explained us more about the building and history. Breakfast was great, and we also had a good dinner here!

Due to the history, the rooms are a little small for modern standards (lacking a closet). There are some small signs that maintenance is needed here and there. However, it's easily one of the best views I've woken up to.

This hotel is all about location, character and quality. You feel like you're back in the 80ies, on a stylish James Bond set. The view from our room and the dining area was breath-taking and the food (both dinner and breakfast) were a feast for all senses. It's not cheap, but worth it!

There was nothing to dislike at the Hotel, but Nesflaten itself does not have much to offer, unless you are up for some serious hiking.

A classic architecturally significant building that honours the hydro industrial era of Norway post WW2. Can't complain about the view either. Lots to do, walking, sauna and swimming as well as just relaxing and taking in the buildings. Food was really top notch and considered too. Breakfast was nice rather than the standard Norwegian buffet.

The parking area is being worked on, but the building materials lying around and all the electric charging spaces taken up by petrol cars wasn't great.

Amazing place, incredible landscapes. It is located in a very cozy town, with a fabulous view of the lake and mountains. There are hiking trails nearby. The hotel has a very original design. Very comfortable beds. Friendly owners and staff in general. You can eat delicious local dishes. I highly recommend.

Lovely scene, brilliant staff and perfect for a couple of days away not to think about anything. Would recommend 2 for leisure (tops).

In summer, there is literally no option for food outside the hotel itself. All other options are out of season and require 1-2 hours driving to.

The staff and owners were extremely helpful. We had gotten down from the fjell hiking, and were picked up from there to the hotel in car with no charge. They also washed all of our clothing for free, and were attentive enough not to put our wool socks in the dryer. We ate the three-course dinner, and we were left satiated in mind and stomach. Great design hotel with original features and a magnificent picturesque view from the rooom

Incredible view from the room and from the restaurant. Staff is great. The hotel is a bit out-dated, but because of the architectural style, it has a nice vintage vibe. The food is very very good.

The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. Also, the walls need better sound proofing. But with those views, who's complaining?;-)

Modernist gem too remote for mass tourism which now afflicts many parts of Norway. Restaurant featuring local produce with stunning views. Rooms are compact and minimalist befitting the style of the hotel but feature huge panoramic windows.

Nothing.
