I booked the hotel because it was one of the cheapest I could find close to the center. It turned out to be the best hotel in town, perfectly located close to shopping, restaurants, train station, culture and sights. To be honest, Duisburg is not a very touristic place, but it was a good starting point to do excursions to other places in the Ruhr area, which has many other cities very nearby. I was feeling lucky, getting a very good room at a low price. The room was good, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice.

Not much to complain about. The room was close to the elevator which sometimes made some noise at any time of day and night. If possible, ask for a room away from the elevator.

New and comfortable room and bathroom. The bathroom is large and clean. Complementarity water bottle. Fridge to put some stuff in. Close to shoppingcenter, parking Garage and restaurants. Nice vibe in the neighborhood.

There was no parking space available at the hotel for our car. Fortunately there was plenty of parking space available in the parking garage Forum (also electric car charging possible) and in König Heinrich-Platz parking garage. It's about a 5 minute walk maximum.

Breakfast - quality food and a decent selection from sweet to savory Location - next to the city centre, a lot of food options and shopping close by. Parking also available in the nearby garage Rooms - clean and modern

Room cards - didn't work a lot of the time or took a lot of tries to actually get into the room. I also had them changed twice in the course of 3 days because they didn't work Gym - basically a room with 3 treadmills and a yoga mat

The hotel is very nice, it looks like it was refurbished from a very old hotel, which I liked. You don't see much of that anymore. The breakfast was fabulous.

In the room I stayed in, there was a stain on the desk chair that was wet and sticky to touch, which was very disappointing. If I hadn't checked the chair beforehand I could have got a really bad stain on the back of my trousers. This chair should not be in the room. Also the toilet bowl had stains at the bottom of it.

Room was comforable and warm (visited in winter), looked much newer than the hotel itself. There were 2 pillows (one thin and one round). Breakfast was ok, although hotels in the region are charging a bit much. Even though it's right in the middle of town's center (next to the Opera), it wasn't noisy.

The doors outside the rooms look worn and should get a coat of paint soon. Old fashioned smoke detectors with blinking lights should probably phased out. Maybe it's a german thing, but it's the first time I've seen small, thin duvet covers instead of sheets/blankets; and while they get the job done, I expected a bed well made in a 4 star hotel. Also, they looked like they might need replacing. Not dirty, but not perfect either.

Great location, good food for a change, as 2 years ago wasn't any good and could not do pizza without onion for a child. Very nice customer service at the reception, good and clean room.

At the restaurant in the evening very poor and limited menu. Half of it was not available. The waiter when asked for white wine or red wine did not ask or offer any, just gave us the most expensive. Lady in the morning at breakfast at the restaurant looked unhappy.

Overall a pleasant short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, breakfast was satisfactory. Location is perfect, accross a classical theater building, malls and shops, innenhafen is 10-15 min walk.

There was a strange sewage smell when you enter the hotel the first day, it was less the second day. Also, it would be great if the hotel can place a dedicated smoker corner outside as faaaaar away as possible from the main entrance as we were greeted by cigarette smoke almost each time we enter or go out.

Hotel is very beautiful and I was very satisfied with premises and every service it had to offer. Room and bathroom are decorated with a lot of taste and functional. Location was very good with quite large and free parking for my long minivan. Staff extremly proffesional, polite and helpful.

Everything was wonderful

The price ! A luxury hotel for small money but you are treated like a king. Room spacious enough,very clean and modern. Amazing bathroom and comfy bed. Situated 5min walk from train station and middle of a shopping area to go to eat at nighttime or daytime. Quiet at night and room is kept dark in the early hours by heavy curtains.

Breakfast was great. The power shower was awesome. The size of our room was good (almost too big)!

No air conditioning in our room. It was really stuffy. The windows were not child safe. They opened completely without a tether. Parts of the hotel and the cloakroom in our room, stank of urine.
