The rooms and their interior design are exceptional. The views offered from within the comfort of the room or from the cosy restaurant or even the majestic swimming pool are truly mesmerising. Overlooking lush jungle and the Indian ocean, it is without a doubt a hard to beat view. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, away from the chaos and noise of the main road, but within 5 min from beautiful beaches and beach clubs. After a long day out, retiring to such a luxurious and tranquil resort made my stay all the better. I highly recommend this pearl!

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were the highlight of my stay. The massage therapist Nuwan also was extremely helpful and professional with his treatment. Max the dog was also a great addition to the team.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable but not a deal breaker

- Exceptional customer service. We felt very welcomed by the staff and looked after. - The food at The Dutch Restaurant is excellent - both a la carte at lunch and the included breakfast were great! - The room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was excellent. - The overall atmosphere and views were stunning. - Maxi the resort dog was a highlight for us - she is so cute!

- Overall, no major issues or flaws. - Worth noting that the plunge pool is not heated - this was fine on the hotter days but was underused and too cold on the cooler days we had. The main pool felt warmer, which was a good alternative. - Hot water was temperamental in the shower. - The couch covers in the room and the day bed covers by the pool were a little stained and worn - could do with a deep clean or replacement.

I loved my stay. It is wonderfully relaxing - an oasis - but in reality you are only a few mins from beachbars, tourist attractions etc. But it is perfectly quiet and relaximg. Amazing infinity pool and some rooms have their own too. I loved it. Delicious food, attentive team, spa for massages, mani, pedi, facials etc. It is the perfect place to unwind and reset. The villas are big and spacious, great bed, huge shower, day bed too, desk and chair, minibar - everything that you need. Incredibly reasonable for everything that you get.

Great design and nice location. Staff also very eager to please and kind. It was wonderful to be so close to the beach (5 mins by tuk tuk) but also feel amongst the jungle with monkeys roaming! The room was very nice (apart from lack of fan)

Small aspects could be improved. There was no fan in the room, only AC. Not sure if this was only our room or others but seemed strange given fans were incorporated in other parts of the hotel. At night it would be better having a fan rather than AC directly on you. For the price, some basic amenities should be provided in the room also like slippers. A large supply of towels should be left for guests to take near the pool area - they regularly weren’t available and guests had to requests these and wait for them to be provided. At times felt like restaurant staff were understaffed - they were also required to make drinks meaning wait times for drinks in the evening during busy period could be quite long. I waited approximately an hour for a drink on one occasion.

We have just come home after 10 days at Tabula Rasa. There is not a single thing I would change. It was an exceptional hotel in every way. The resort was spotlessly clean throughout. Our welcome was fabulous with all that days team greeting us, including the general manager Dillon. Our room was comfortable and we had magnificent views from the balcony. The room was kept clean throughout our stay. There is a focus on environmental issues and so the towels were changed every 3rd day, but if we needed fresh towels sooner we could have them. Bathroom "stuff", (Shaving kits, toothbrushes, soap etc) were all environmentally friendly. On arrival the chef came and checked our individual requirements. I am a vegetarian and I have some food allergies. I also HATE coconut! I knew I would have to "put up and shut up" going to an Asian county. However, this was not the case. Each and every meal I had was freshly prepared with no coconut. I had the most delicious food whenever we ate at the hotel. Thank you to the head chef and the catering team. A Special mention to Akila, the waiter and general lovely man. He was a breath of fresh air with kind and gentle service. He was quick to learn our preferences ( me: black coffee. My husband: tea with milk and sugar). Nothing was too much to ask. The front of house was always well managed and Upeka was so kind and welcoming. She helped to arrange many things for us and was always interested in what we had booked and where we were going. Packed breakfasts were arranged if we needed them. All her suggestions were appropriate and helpful. The hotel arranged a driver for us when we needed, including our airport transfers. Samira was a gem. He was a top guy with a lovely sense of humour. We felt completely safe being driven by him and once again nothing was too much trouble. The hotel also suggested the local Tuk Tuk driver, Ataru. He was fantastic, once again we felt very safe being driven by him.

Nothing it was fantastic

Very good and quiet place to stay. Just a few rooms, familiar atmosphere.Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, tasty selections for dinner. Small requests were fulfilled directly. Located basically in middle of the jungle, perfect to enjoy the nature. The large pool offers enough sun beds. The small town Habaraduwa with bus and train connections and the beaches are in walking distance. Late check-out was possible without extra charges. What a wonderful place to relax - Thank you!

While the price for food is reasonable drinks are really expensive.

Perfect for relaxing. The view from the hotel was amazing. We had the suite, and it was the right choice. Exceptional with the pool and the view. Nature all around you. You can see monkeys in the morning and evening. (Being your binoculars) The staff was super friendly and helpful whenever needed. The sri lankan breakfast was very yummy. Even though remotely in the nature if you want to go to galle it is still only 20 min by TukTuk or 5 min to the beach.

(All was good, and don't take away the great experience, however, some minor details could be improved.) The English breakfast is obviously nothing you come for when being in Sri Lanka. We didn't know on the first day that we had to pre-order the Sri Lankan breakfast the day before. Coffee options (cappuccino, espresso etc) were not included in the breakfast. The prices for the drinks were higher compared to the rest of the restaurants, which comes with the remoteness. And which you don't mind when having the view.

Staff and food were both excellent, the view from the hotel is amazing too and our apartment was spacious. Front of desk manager was extremely good and helpful. Loved the fact the hotel owner came over to say hello

Website slightly misleading re the yoga - it seemed to infer it was happening every day and there would not be any cost involved. As it was you had to book in advance for the yoga and it cost us$30. Also description of apartment mentioned a tv and dvd player (and is in the photo) , which are not in the room. (I mentioned. This to the owner who was going to sort this out so it is not mentioned) If I was staying here with you children it would have been good to have a bath tub too.

Stunningly beautiful location with fabulous attention to detail. The infinity swimming pool was probably the best we have ever used with views out over the jungle to the sea - the pool was a triumph of design and construction quality. Very atmospheric at dawn and dusk with beautiful chanting from nearby temples. One of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka - highly recommended!

The low-fi music in the restaurant was very intrusive and too loud - it was like being trapped in a department store elevator from hell with a repeating Musak playlist! It was surprising that the bedroom bathroom basins have no hot water - the shower has hot water (from solar panels) but not the basin! A minor irritant was noise from the kitchen when dining - staff (the Chef?) seem to always be shouting at each other in the kitchen - a shame given the serene nature of the development and view. The food was good, but the menu is a bit limited. Breakfast was excellent.
