Robert (Rob) was a brilliant host. Fluent in English & Spanish. Hotel is situated in Sabaris next village to Baiona. Sabaris a much better location. Variety of bars & restaurants within walking distance - all of which were lovely. Frois supermarket across the road. Parking on site. Excellent wifi. Breakfast served by Patricia was excellent - particularly the freshly squeezed orange juice, great croissants & really good coffee as well as usual variety of Spanish breakfast. Very good market on Mondays in Sabaris.

Very warm reception from owners. We arrived well before check-in time and they kindly let us have the room early. We had arrived on bicycles in the rain so this was wonderful! Secure underground garage to store bikes. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms comfortable. Short walk to a good choice of local restaurants. Also very close is an area of wetland - good for bird watchers! If you are doing the Camino this hotel is very convenient stop. All in all a very good experience!

Rob, the hotelier was very helpful and fluent in both English and Spanish. Our room was small but comfortable and excellent value for money. Breakfast was included, and was both healthy and quick. As older Camino Pilgrims who are using a luggage transfer service, we were delighted to find our bags were in our room when we arrived. Location is great: supermarket, bakery and small square with lots of eating places all nearby.

We were touring so it was good to be able to access free parking. Large well equipped room with a walk-in shower and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. A range of sweet and savoury options available. In a good position just outside Baiona which was easily accessible by car and walkable in 45 minutes. Lovely walks on your doorstep and a range of cafes and restaurants to enjoy.

We were more than happy with all aspects of our stay and Northern Spain is very beautiful. I recommend Hotel Arce without reservation.

I liked the bed. It was very comfortable. I liked the host Robert. He was very helpful with directions to a lavandería and an excellent place to eat. All of it was a couple of blocks away. It is a perfect location for pilgrims. The breakfast was full of choice breads and sweets, very good coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and an assortment of other breakfast foods. Overall great experience!

Comfortable and personal. The owner Robert speaks English & Spanish. Good breakfast, including some cereal, included in the price. Toiletries and a small sewing kit, which my friend used to mend her rucksack, provided. Comfy seating area outside room. Bag transfers accepted & close to the Portuguese Camino & some nice restaurants. This was definitely a better quality hotel than the 2 & 3 star hotels we stayed at.

Robert and Annabelle were unbelievably helpful with some complicated issues that were nothing to do with the hotel. The staff were all nice and the beds and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. Everywhere was clean. I can’t rate this hotel highly enough- I have never given 10 for everything before.

There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Breakfast was superb. Location was a bit away from the main town and general amenities but still within reasonable walking distance. For us it was a lovely surprise to be greeted by a fellow English man who was from Oxford not far from where we used to live.

Nothing really comes to mind. As were only staying for one night it gave us everything we really needed.

Robert the owner greeted us as we walked in. Robert was a delight to meet, great sense of humor. Provided all the extras you could need in the bathroom. The breakfast had everything you could want. Espresso coffee to order. The location is right by the Camino de Santiago trail. Restaurants are near by along with a grocery store. The hotel is a real gem!

Breakfast was lovely with a glass of fresh orange juice being served on arrival at breakfast. Patricia was very helpful and efficient. Robert is an excellent host and made us feel at home straight away. Lots of helpful tips about places to eat etc locally. The location for us was great, with easy access to the Camino the following morning.
