The hotel has a very good location and very good parking. It looks good, as well.

Breakfast was supposed to be continental. In fact, they brought you a plate that they prepared when you arrived. It was the same thing for both days I stayed there. Other than the plate that they prepared, you had very limited choices for breakfast (tea, yogurt, some cereal, croissant, and some simple cake). It was also quite annoying that they were so afraid the coffee machine would break if you operated it by yourself. I have one at home and it is by no means difficult to operate. I would rate the breakfast to be a 6 out of 10. You have to pay extra to access the swimming pool or fitness gym.

This hotel was wonderful as it had art pieces displayed throughout the hotel! I truly enjoyed walking around looking at the various paintings and sculptures! The staff was warm, friendly, and very accomodating! The room was wonderful! The hard wood and decor throughout the hotel was well kept and really added to the feel of classic luxury accomodations! The bed was firm, but still comfortable. The pool and spa were exactly what I needed after a long day of travel!

The parking was a bit confusing at first, especially since the main entrance was not facing either of the provided parking lots.

It is a classic hotel, big rooms, comfortable mattresses, friendly staff, very nice location, by the parc.

The breakfast is not a 4* hotel breakfast. Very bad quality bread, not really good coffee, generally not very good quality products.

Very clean & tidy room; the beds were comfy also. Friendly hosts. Would definitely come back if we'll have the chance.

Use of the swimming pool extra charged. The woman at the reception was not friendly. We were overcharged for cocktails we took on the terrace.

The hotel offers spacious rooms with stunning views of Zăvoi Park, a central location, and impeccable cleaning service. Guests can enjoy amenities like a minibar, paid access to the spa, gym, and pool, and the convenience of free parking.

However, the staff’s unfriendliness was disappointing. Despite having several large pieces of luggage, no one offered assistance, which was unexpected for a resort of this caliber. Additionally, the blankets were not comfortable.

Breakfast was very delicious and the staff was always friendly enough to let us enjoy it for a bit longer than the proposed hours. The room is very spacious and the view to the park was absolutely amazing! The central location makes the hotel extremely easy to find and it gives you a sense of security at all times.

Unfortunately I did not like that while I booked the hotel I specifically asked if the massage services will be available for me and my friends, this being one of the main reasons we traveled here, and even if we were confirmed they will be available I was saddened to find out the only employee offering this service was off for 2 weeks and did not have a replacement.

Grand Hotel Sofianu is a real surprise in Râmnicu Vâlcea. Love its location near the park. The accommodation is as advertised, a museum like feeling. We will be back for more ❤️ The bottle of wine on arrival... such a pleasant goodwill gesture

The shower drain was not draining the water fast enough. The mosquito net was not closing properly... likely there have been no mosquitos The staff could smile more, and a warm welcome would soo well... As a family of 4 with 2 junior suites booked, we did not get these next door to each other... after asking the reception... we got them on the same floor.

A very unique hotel surrounded by art created by 500 contemporary artists. The location was very good, close to the center and in Zăvoi park. Good parking, good food, and service. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was good size.

Everything was good, just one suggestion. Since it's the only art hotel in Romania, a brochure / flyer with photos of all the artists' names and works done for the hotel would be very welcomed. I am sure that just like me, many tourists asked about the art or artist, and it would be very nice to have something to give them and be proud of.
