The one major factor that made this place stand out was the team of Heather and Brandon. They were Hospitality Personified. If they could do anything for you, they would. They texted the morning we were to check in, just to touch base. I let them know we would be arriving in town before the official check-in time and Heather happily said she'd have our room cleaned first and would text me when it was ready - which she did. Brandon checked us in and asked if there was anything he could do for us - get ice, carry bags, give restaurant recommendations, etc. If you enjoy feeling appreciated, stay at the Mt. Baker Hotel. The place itself was also very nice. The building was originally built in 1924, so it could have been run down. It was NOT! The units have a bedroom, a living room with kitchenette area, and a large modern and clean bathroom.

The location in relation to North Cascades is excellent, and the little town of Concrete is charming. The owners were accommodating, helpful and communicated clearly via text messages. The room was spacious and clean, with an assortment of coffee pods and fixings, water bottles, a mini fridge and microwave, and helpful information about the area. There were nice soaps and amenities throughout. Check in was easy with a key left in the lockbox with clear instructions, and I was able to meet the owner in the office at checkout.
The air conditioning/heating unit is located in the living area, with nothing in the bedroom, so it got hot for sleeping in the bedroom. There is nothing the hotel owners can do about the loud music and noise coming from the bar across the street late at night, but if you have trouble sleeping in those conditions, you might request a room on the opposite side of the hotel. There was a single couch in the living area, which was the only seating for three of us, so we couldn’t all sit comfortably in the same room together.

Everything! Big room. Lots of little extras, like bottles of water. About the best welcome folder I've ever seen, filled with info and warmly written explanations. The love and care of the couple who run the hotel just shines through in every aspect.
Shower was a bit lacking in terms of amount of water flowing through but maybe that was just a weird setting in the shower head nozzle that I could have sorted out myself, but didn't. Too minor to really care about.

This hotel was an awesome find on our road trip through WA. The room we had was more of an apartment, with a separate sitting room with a small kitchenette space, a separate bedroom, and a full bath. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making it a comfortable space. Unfortunately we lost power for several hours during the stay, which appeared to have been a scheduled outage based on conversations at a coffee shop the next morning. Luckily that did not greatly impair our trip, but it may be something to look into if continued access to wi-fi for work is an issue. That said, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable base for a stay in the area.

I booked a double room as that was the only option on booking.com so was expecting a small bedroom with a standard double bed. Instead we got a studio style apartment which opened into a kitchen area with tv and sofa. The bathroom was separate and then the bedroom which also had a tv was large with a king size bed. Plenty of room for us to hang out and relax together or separately. That was a very pleasant surprise as the rate was so reasonable. This hotel is being managed by a husband and wife team who are a year into a renovation project. This is an early 1900’s building originally built to provide housing to dam construction workers and there is a lot to do. However they are off to an excellent start as you will see from all the little touches they have in the rooms for the comfort of their guests.

It's a big spacious apartment with a small kitchenette. The sofa and bed were both very comfortable. Hotel is close to several restaurants. Although there is no big supermarket nearby, there were several smaller grocery stores. The highlight for us was how friendly the staff is. Overall great value for money!
Personally did not like lugging my suitcases up and down the stairs, but we knew in advance there would be stairs, so can't blame the hotel for that. The TV connection was not the most stable.

Really nice place to stay. We were in the Deluxe Room that had two separate bedrooms and a large living room - kitchen space. The beds were very confortable, the room well equipped. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the street where the hotel is located. The owner was really helpful, helped us find some hikes and print a park pass for our car. Would totally recommend !
A bit expensive. It would be nice to have some essentials in the kitchen such as salt, pepper, oil... (but the owner really nicely offered some when we asked).

The location to the cascades made the drive easy and the trip less rushed. The rooms were themed which gave them a special feel, and it was contactless. It was also close to the food, and other amenities so you could walk right across the street to eat. It smelled clean, and looked very up to date inside the rooms. The view was also very nice being in the mountains. For the cost and everything, we would stay here again. It felt like a little home away from home.

The Mt. Baker Hotel is a bit old-school, but can be recommended without exception. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome. Our room had a lot of charm with its furnishings, but lacked nothing and was extremely clean. The really well-designed guest brochure provides lots of information about the hotel and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast. We had it at "5B's Bakery" just a short distance from the hotel. It is also highly recommended. We would like to thank you for your hospitality and would very much like to return.

Location to the national Park and hiking. Room was spacious. The larger counter space was good for food prep since restaurant options are slim. Quiet at night.
The exterior of the building is rotting. There was plywood on the upper level outside flooring covering the rotted wood and the steps and railings were rotted. Not very inviting when arriving to your room. Pillow cases didn't look clean so we put towels from our car on them.
