The staff in hotel is amazing! All people were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect if you travel without a car, because the distance from the train station was just 2 minutes. The hotel has restaurant, thus there was no need to go somewhere else for dinner.

Need to bear in mind the hotel is located really close to the train station and the hotel is really old, thus no sound isolation makes you feel you're sleeping "outside", the noise is huge and at summer, when it is really warm, there is no air condition in the room and you'll have to open the windows and "enjoy" all the train station vibes. Moreover, the room's walls were really transparent for all the sounds and you can literally hear all what's happening at the neighbor's place. The floor was old and very creaky, thus you'll hear all the neighbor's steps. Bear in mind to purchase good ear plugs.

The location was excellent, I was attending an event in Basingstoke and was able to catch the train a 30 second walk from the hotel at Hook and was in Basingstoke within ten minutes. There was a vending machine in the lobby for snacks and drinks, the pub next door wasn’t loud at all, and there was lots of shops within walking distance, including a Tesco on the other side of the train station. The staff were friendly, special shoutout to Yolanda who checked me in, incredible sweet and welcoming. The room was larger than most hotels I’ve spent twice as much on. Everything you could want for the price, would definitely stay again if I needed to!

Nothing, it was perfect from start to finish.

Though a busy pub, noise was not an issue as with other venues i have been too. The bar was a relaxing experiance with a good people who though an outsider was most welcoming to all. After having such an sound sleep wasn't able to try the restaurant for Breakfast but as it was pay on demand it wasnt a waste.

poor Communiction between staff meant, waiting in the hotel reception despite be assured that a members of staff would be down shortly, before some one accidentally came across me sitting in the reception area to get me booked in.

I have stayed here before. It is handy for the motorway and close to Farnham and Alton to see friends. The bed is comfortable, it is very quiet there is no outside noise. The shower and bath facilities are excellent and so was my full English Breakfast.

My only gripe is that the car park needs the white lines marking out as they have worn away. It is difficult to see where you are supposed to park. A security light halfway down would be helpful too.

I was surprised by how comfortable our stay was. Friendly staff. room a fine size for two people. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean, nice crisp bedding and fluffy white towels. Tea and coffee making in the room. hair dryer, plenty of storeage. lots of hot water for a bath. It was also quiet, so had the best nights sleep. meal in the restaurant was very good too, and nice breakfast in the morning with plenty of tea and coffee. Very impressed and very good value.

A little slow at taking dinner orders. I am not a very big breakfast eater, only had some yoghurt and two strawberries, but still charged for a full continental. Husband had a full English that was very nice. Restaurant is showing signs of age in places. But I am being very picky, as there wasn't much not to like.

clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would required even some biscuits to have with a cuppa.When I phoned and explained about mobility issues they moved us to a downstairs room from the reception which was perfect. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful.

toaster is a bit dated and took a while so probably could do with updated. No fault of the hotel

Staff at the hotel were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. There was a wide range of choices for breakfast and we were served promptly. We found the food to be fresh, tasty and portions were generous. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and the shower was perfect.

The television in our room stopped working inexplicably. A member of staff did try her best to help, but couldn't put it right.

Easily accessible, plenty of parking and food on site which is a bonus. Perfect pit stop for us visiting Lapland Uk the next day. Staff were amazing! So helpful and bent over backwards on the little things to help out. Bed was comfy. Shower was good pressure too!

My only criticism would be the bathroom. Shower curtain slightly broken and mould in places. Could do with a nice refresh!

I liked the location, perfect just beside the train station and village,loved the bar,great selection of beers and the food was very good 👍

Nothing much really,closing time was a bit hit and miss,if it was quiet they closed the bar and the night we arrived,it was approximately 10.30,they called last orders and only a crowd of about 8 came in,it would have been bed early 😞

Location wise, perfect for our few days of legoland & peppa world. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Although a large hotel, spread over a number of floors, it was quiet and occupants were respectful, perfect to get my little ones settled for the night.

I don’t think the room was hoovered properly, found lots of long black womens hair on the floor over the few days.
