I am on a road trip from Vienna to Odrin through every single Balkan Country. Best place to stay, second to nothing! Clean, quiet, spiritual, people are awesome :) The breakfast was fine, but the view toward the lake was just fantastic. I hope I can visit again. Sorry for the trouble with the car, but thanks for the help!

All good! Probably the fridge should be in the room with the table, but other than this, perfect! Can be little noisy when the tourists start gathering up.

If you are travelling through Northern Macedonia, or the Balkans in general, this place is not to be missed. Quiet, peaceful and cosy, you can stay here for a week for sure, maybe more. The surrounding beauty is beyond description. The hotel in the monastery is classic, with a hundred old oak furniture, but nevertheless comfortable. And the view from the window is worth a million. A lovely restaurant with veranda, a park with peacocks and a sad-bottomed beach just outside the doorstep.

Preface with this: If you are planning to visit Lake Ohrid on the North Macedonia side, it is highly recommended you stay here. The very old monastery has been converted into a hotel. The history is palpable here, and the views are truly spectacular. If in your budget, pay extra for a lakeview room. You will not be disappointed. The monastery is at the end of a lakefront promenade. Along this promenade you can purchase souvenirs and snacks. There a couple very nice restaurants as well. People come to the lake beach to sunbathe (there is a campground behind the monastery) so it can feel touristy but not overly so. We saw two pairs of newlyweds taking pictures there during early evening. And rightly so, the sun setting on the lake was superb. You can take a 30-minute covered rowboat ride on the spring-fed pond there too. It’s a UNESCO site. Highly recommended. Five Euros if you go with a group. Our “gondolier” was a high school young man from Korce named Angel. He knew a lot about the spring and shared information in different languages. His kindness and congeniality added to our experience there. Behind the monastery to the left is a small walking trail that borders the pond in places. The nature stroll was a highlight. The breakfast (included) was tasty and varied. We ate in the veranda overlooking the lake. It was sublime.

The location overlooking the St Naum church is unbeatable, exceptional and absolutely stunning. A must do for at least one night if visiting Ohrid lake. The beaches next to the hotel were so clear and not crowded. The spring boat tour was also unmissable. The word to describe the environment is heavenly.

The blinds in the rooms don’t block out any light so we had early wake ups every morning. Also the way the hotel arranges the bedding is strange. The duvet is covered by a sheet that is much smaller than the duvet and there were stains on it. The staff were apologetic and changed the duvet but still a strange bedding set up.

A fantastic place in itself. Hotel in a former monastery right by the lake and springs. The beach next to the hotel - on the other hand, the monastery from the tourist one is completely forgotten in a military camp on the border with Albania. Nice and helpful staff.

You can have dinner at the hotel only until 7:00 p.m. The surrounding restaurants then close at around 8:30 p.m. That's very early :(

Location fantastic. Staff friendly & helpful. WiFi not very good...sporadic, not great connection. Man at Sveti Naum church very kind, also man who cleans the grounds. Extremely friendly and hard working. The man at breakfast very helpful and friendly. Very very peaceful at night... provided a spiritual awakening. Breakfast was fantastic; an over abundance of food.

Cleanliness of rooms could have been a little better. No hot water for shower on first night. WiFi wasn't very good. Overall, nothing overly negative to say.

The location is extraordinary wonderful view on the lake and the mountains in the night calm and silent with best air quality. The lake and the beaches are clean and Cristal clear water as the spring stream to the lake is very near to Sveti Naum. The views from the room and specially from the breakfast terrace are stunning 🤩

Location, cleanliness, hospitality were perfect. Peace and tranquility in the evening are fabulous. Very nice beaches are on the both sides of the hotel, and the water was very clear.

Breakfast have to be better. Restaurant is closing at 7 PM, so you can not find any restaurant in the near area for dinner. Closest restaurant is more than 10 km away.

The scenery was stunning and plenty to visit while you stayed. We would highly recommend a visit to St Naum but did feel accommodation let it down slightly.

Could be cleaner. Curtains were ripped, and some falling off. Spiders and webs that could easily be removed. No bar and last orders for food was 7pm. All restaurants in St Naum close early also.

It is a unique and wonderful experience to stay in St Naum monastery hotel. Tania and Antonio on reception were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the balcony over the beautiful garden and lake is breathtaking. I look forward to returning again one day.
