Breakfast was excellent- offers buffet style of hot and continental options. Good selection and hot and fresh. Rooms are good - they are student accommodation during the term, but rival the better chain hotels (Premier/Travel Lodge) for comfort. I was staying with my daughter, so opted for a twin room - we did have to pay an extra £50 for this, but the space was worth it, and we both got double beds in same room. Free parking and easy walk into the town - this is the opposite end to the Cathedral Ruins - but only takes 20mins to walk (at a medium pace)

No conditioning - it was very warm and 'muggy' but unable to open windows as noisy outside.

The rooms were clean but basic, as expected for student housing. Two twin beds in each room, a desk, ample closet space, a small en-suite bathroom, and a tiny TV, maybe 15-17". The breakfast was a gigantic spread spanning 2 rooms in the dining hall, of good quality and with excellent variety! Parking was free, convenient, and surprisingly close by - in an open lot just adjacent to the building entrance.

The only minor quibble was that the door to one of our two rooms wouldn't self-lock properly when pulled shut, and required 3 or 4 tries to ensure it locked when leaving the room. But otherwise, these are excellent digs for college students!

The rooms were a decent size, The accomodation had free parking, easy to find. It was extremely close to the centre and bus station ( for non car drivers ). The walk into town was only 5/10 mins. Breakfast covered all your needs, cooked, cereal, pastries, with a large enough dinig room to cover everyone in the building. There is also a small bar in the hall that is opened between 5 and 9 ( although i never tried it out )

The room i had was at the farthest away point from the reception, they told me how to get there using the lift that felt like you were walking through the whole hotel, if you used the stairs it took half the time. Looking out the window of my room i had a busy pathway and what seemed like a vehicle depot across from me. There were only curtains in the room, so basically the room was dark if you wanted any privacy and nobody staring in. There are overseas student groups staying there as well, unfortunately they are not in a different area of the halls, so on my last night i had very loud american teenage/young adult students next to me that did disrupt my sleep. If i had been there another night i would have asked to be moved.

Firstly the price was very good. The room itself wasn't luxurious but had everything required. Bed was comfortable shower good and incuded complimentary gels. It was quiet and the building felt safe. We had breakfast which was excellent, much better than the 4 star hotel we just left in Edinburgh. Also very close to Old Course for golf fans.

It wasn't a big problem but it was a 15 - 20 minute walk to the centre of town. But only a few minutes walk to bus stops.

The accomodation is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the town centre where there are ample places to eat and walk around. Rooms are adequate with on suite shower room and tea and coffee making facilities which are kept clean every day and you are offered new towels or full room clean if you wish. There is also a bar which offers some food and snacks and this opens at 5.30 I'm sure with last orders at 10.15pm, so a great place to finish your day and on site close to the rooms. The food and choices available at breakfast is outstanding imo, and they try to accomodate vegan/vegetarian. Breakfast is between 7am-9.30.

There is not a lot to do if the weather is rainy or cold, however this is no different from most places. Bars and restaurants can be a bit pricey although there are reasonable places to be found.

A very warm and friendly welcome from Reception staff on arrival. Excellent value for money. Nice toiletries and coffee/tea biscuits were included. The prices of drinks in the on-site bar were very reasonable. The included breakfast was as good as any top-rated hotel. Parking was free and there were plenty of spaces. Given that this is student accommodation the rooms are obviously arranged and decorated to the standard of student accommodation. The room was clean, well heated with clean bedding and soft fluffy towels. We will definitely use it again.

Only very slightly disappointed in comfort of the bed (the mattress and pillows were too soft for me) but overall the room was absolutely fine.

Location is excellent . Facilities excellent : use of superb gym behind the building was a bonus. Food selection was very tasty! All staff I met were wonderful. The best value choice in town!

Rooms could get very hot. Lack of cooling options in Scottish accommodations should be considered by travellers. It’s a minor point but nowadays it’s possible to carry small appliances to solve this issue. Guests could also be more considerate when closing their door: it has a handle ! Don’t let it slam shut!

The communication before we arrived was very good and everything from start to finish was easy, all of the staff reception, cleaning , catering were really friendly and helpful. Everyone in the building made us feel welcome. The value is exceptional and the breakfast is fantastic. All of the rooms are accessible from the lifts. The building is spacious and easy to navigate in a wheelchair. The shower room was a wet room which was ideal and there were lots of toiletries. The parking was great and the halls are only a short walk in to town. There was a nice bar serving meals and drinks. And lots of open areas to sit which would be ideal if you are travelling alone. The accommodation is great value. It didn't occur to me so I just mention it here these are student halls not hotels so remember to take a hairdryer if you need one.

Nothing to dislike. A pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Agnes Blackadder. All of the staff I encountered were cheerful and helpful especially Morag (thank you). The room was as expected for student accommodation and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice available from a full fry up to more healthy options. Food served in the on site bar was also very nice. Great value for bed and breakfast.

There is work being carried out on the grounds with lots of barricades which can be a little confusing when you arrive if you aren’t coming by car but once you are settled it becomes much easier to navigate so don’t be put off by it and enjoy your stay.

This is exceptional accommodation .Every thing about our visit was excellent. The staff were cheery ,professional and extremely helpful. The internal ambience was very pleasing and relaxing with comfortable couches etc .The breakfast was the best we have ever experienced in all our many travels. The bar food was again well presented and tasty. The approach to the building was very inviting with a lovely flower bed and seats to enjoy the outdoors. From the local and national newspapers available each day to read and the welcome toiletries in the en suite all our comforts were catered for .Sadly the only downside was the bed which I feel had had its day.We were so impressed we immediately booked to go back for 3 nights later in summerDefinitely something to look forward to .(but need better matress).

The bed.Lunpy and uncomfortable.
