We stayed here for a week for our babymoon and had an absolutely wonderful time! We travel often and have high expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. The resort itself is impeccable, with great design and all the comforts/amenities you could want/need. We were always able to find a beach chair and often had our pick of whether we wanted to be in the action or more secluded/private. The resort is very family-friendly but I never felt like things were out of control or over populated. We did the tiki sunset boat cruise one night and it was a highlight for sure! The location is great and we were able to access neighboring restaurants and locations very easily.
While beautiful, the resort definitely has high price points. Our meals at Calusa and Dry Docks were very good, but you pay a high price for them. Breakfast for 2 people at $75 was steep for us, but it forced us to go out and explore Key Largo and we found tons of great restaurants at more reasonable price points. The only 'lackluster' experience we had was the spa. The website is a bit deceiving and with how wonderful the rest of the resort was, I expected more of a true spa experience. The 'spa' is a small hair/nail salon that has 2 rooms where you can receive a spa service such as a facial/massage. While the masseuse's themselves were great, I expected a bit more from a 4 star resort and if we went back, I would definitely skip the $500 spa day and stay on the beach instead.

good quiet room with sea view, comfortable bed (once we were given a blanket). The bed was very comfortable, there was a fridge, the shower was great. There were some activities on offer which explained the resort fee, although poor weather meant we didn't really use any. We loved the sitting area and the books, sofas and pool table.
The prices of food in the Dry Rocks cafe were a bit steep for what it offered, they have you stuck in a resort unless you drive out and most people can't be bothered to do that. $12 plus tax for a slice of pie is steep!

The Coconut building is right in front of the beach, nice and spacious room. The beach is very nice and well kept by Max, the beach bar is run by kind staff and the drinks are good. The breakfast restaurant is at the top floor, kind staff and good quality food, just slightly too expensive. This hotel is the right choice for a couple of days at the beach
The lobby staff is far from friendly, they do nothing to let you feel welcome. There’s too much dogs at the beach, and if tourists are unlucky being there when there families with small and loud children you cold be disappointed and forced to move position

For the last 40+ years we have traveled the world to exotic locations in large part to enjoy tropical beaches. We've never considered going to the Florida keys until this trip. We were pleased to find that Florida is much easier to get to than the Sinai peninsula, the philippines, or French Polynesia, for instance. On the other hand, in spite of it's comparative ease of access, key largo as an island is not an exotic location. The location for Baker's Cay is a good beach. We chose this location for a 4-day break from the spring rains of Middle Tennessee in May and enjoyed it for that reason. The weather and water more comfortably warm. If we go back we have decided we would want to go before May because it starts to heat up.
The hotel provides kayaks and paddle boards for the first hour free, which is great. However, The kayaks and paddle boards are limited to the buoyed swim area of the beach. You can kayak across this area in about 3 minutes. We are used to kayaking two to four miles of ocean, river and lake water. They are fun if you just use them as float toys.

Liked that there was so much to do in the property. With the private beach, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Saw lots of wildlife too. Pool was very nice and love an adult pool option! Location is great, we had ocean view. Staff was extremely nice. Rooms are clean, big bathroom. Our favorite were the chairs off the path right on the water, so relaxing!
Wish there wasn't a 20% automatically added to everything and that it's credit only. But assuming there is a reason for that. We were not impressed by the food overall. At Dry rocks, the gluten free options were not really gluten free - that's kind of a big deal. We got room service from Calusa's and it was ok. There are a ton of other restaurants around, so it was fine.

The Hammock rooms with partial water views are wonderful. Very tranquil and relaxing. The property is very clean and the staff are friendly.
The restaurants and food service could be improved. It was our anniversary the first night and dinner was a disaster. I ordered mussels and they were not fresh. My husband's short ribs made him sick the whole night. The complementary champagne is not really a satisfying offer. It was too sweet and when made into a mimosa, it was undrinkable. We had to leave the property for the rest of our meals, which wasn't the plan. Breakfast was also very poor in quality and taste compared to the price point of the menu. I ordered avocado toast and the bread was untoasted and gummy. The avocado was more sour cream than avocado. The food at this resort is not up to par with the level of the property. That was very disappointing.

Beautiful property, staff was friendly. Our room was nice.
While we did enjoy our stay, it was Very loud at times with weddings, large parties. Especially late at night after the party when you want to sleep. Certain areas also closed off for weddings, which when you’re paying for a hotel at the beach and can’t use that beach area really isn’t ok. Kinda overpriced and When you’re paying this much to stay somewhere you expect a certain level of quality. Pool area is small for families.

We loved the laid back hammock beach side but they also have an active beach side more kid friendly with water sport activities. The restaurants were good but our favorite was Dry Rock!
Hammock side had no WiFi and spotty cellular service. Not hotels fault but can be very loud when trying to sleep with guests who were rude letting their children scream and run until like midnight in front of the rooms.

Beautiful and quaint hotel with a serene view of the ocean tucked away beneath the trees, located steps away from our balcony. All our meals were exquisite and fresh from the sea. The staff was more than accommodating and easily accessible at any time of day. Daily activities throughout the resort kept our 4-year-old entertained and excited the whole trip.

The hotel had amazing facilities. It had direct beach access, which is not that easy to find in Key Largo. We will definitely be going back. We also enjoyed the restaurant- the food was so tasty!
The air conditioner was not working properly and we didn't notice until we were asleep and we woke up drenched in sweat.
