Great location in St. Davids. Good breakfast. Cosy room.

We recommend booking this property directly with the property and NOT using Booking.com. We had amended our stay to shorten it by one night (days ahead of arrival), which was not a problem with the hotel, but Booking.com still charged us for the additional night. The hotel assured us that a refund would be forthcoming from Booking.com, but this was not the case. We've had to spend additional time jumping through hoops with Booking.com to get the second night refunded, despite the hotel only charging for the one night. Still waiting for the refund. Best to avoid Booking.com altogether!

It’s normally closed in January and February but this year they have opened for bed and breakfast. Breakfast is good basic, cereal, fruit,cheese, toast, tiptree jams etc/. Receptionists wonderful. Rooms clean, comfy, bathrooms spotless. Fine sister pub across the way for good Welsh food. Convenient and pleasant , but the star is such nice, helpful people.

Nothing. It even has good off street parking. And the pub over the way does all the food/ drink you might expect to have found in house in the season.

The room was great & the food & good staff, location was great too , nearest Beach White sands, parking was a bit pricey, especially if you only went for 45 minutes, also most shops don't open till 10am but it was lovely will definitely go again

The only dislike was my food in the evening, ordered garlic sauce with my steak & they brought out peppercorn sauce I didn't realise till I ate it & the potatoes were hard. Also shame for the size of the room they didn't give us twin beds as my mom had the double & l had the camp bed & mattress too hard, especially when you have been driving over three & half hours & then the next day got to drive over four & half hours to your next destination

Location was great for exploring Pembrokeshire. Close to local beaches and attractions. Breakfast was really good quality, staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and with plenty of storage.

The hotel is above the pub/restaurant, and due to the age of the property noise does travel. Luckily all noise downstairs died down by 10/10:30 and I slept well. However noise started in the morning about 6:30 with people setting up breakfast others guests getting up ect. If your a very light sleeper might not be for you.

We had the family rooms for just 2 adults which was cheaper than a standard double for our dates so we had plenty of room. They were quiet and comfortable so afforded a good night's sleep. The breakfast was fabulous and we also ate in the restaurant while we were there and very much enjoyed the food which was to a high standard. The staff were also really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Parking was easy and it was a great location right in the centre of St David's.

The rooms were a bit warm initially but we were able to adjust the temperature ourselves so not really a problem. Nothing to really note here as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to go back again.

Our first experience in Pembrokeshire and we were very lucky to book this particular hotel. The location is brilliant! The St David’s cathedral is just 50 meters from the hotel. The hotel has a free parking and a nice garden. Our room was very spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Bath with a shower very good. Beds were comfortable. We dined at the hotel as well and it was excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the service outstanding. The breakfast with a similar quality. Would definitely come back. All elements of hospitality, reception, room, bed, individual needs were excellent. The room had everything I could have wanted. I am a frequent user of hotels, usually 4 star but generally find problems of some kind,. So I am not assessing this casually.

The food was only average - good average. Breakfast was excellent but the two dinners while appetising were not superlative. So it's not for foodies. Nevertheless I recommend it within the price range.

Lovely room in a central location overlooking the main square in St David's and within a short walk of all the amenities and the cathedral. This was essential as we were joining our choir to sing the services over four days. The choices at breakfast were amazing, especially the wide range of cooked breakfasts. There was fresh milk available in the rooms as there was a communal fridge on the landing area. We were able to book a table for the evening meal for 13 people and three well-behaved dogs at very short notice (numbers finalised just hours before) and with no fuss. We were well looked after.

The tea / coffee machine in the breakfast room wasn't great. It was impossible to get a good cup of tea at breakfast as the water was not boiling.

All of the staff are lovely - so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is great, everything to a high standard. The breakfasts were delicious, as was our evening meal in the bar. Great location in the centre of St Davids, with plenty of little shops and a few minutes walk to the cathedral. A great base for exploring the beaches and harbours along the coast. Parking on site.

There isn't anything I think they could improve on

When I checked in I discovered that I had been charged for double occupancy. I think this is because the Booking.com website did not seem to give me the choice of a room for one guest without giving me the choice of a double bed, which I need for medical reasons. Happily, the staff were able to accommodate my request to stay an extra night, and even juggled their bookings to allow me to stay in the same room. More than that, they discounted the cost of my second night's stay so that my total bill equated to two nights at the single occupancy rate. Well done to the staff of the St David's Cross Hotel! The room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfasts were very good, and I ate excellent dinners in the hotel both nights. The stand out for me was the delightful friendliness of all the staff. I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting St David's. PS: Could I ask that that Booking.com checks its software for instances where a single guest is charged double occupancy. It may have been a one-off, because when I booked at Celtic Manor a few days later no such problem arose.
