Lovely place to stay. Martin n Paula were excellent hosts. Breakfast 10 out of 10 Rooms immaculate with nice little touches such as tissues cotton wool body lotion etc Would 100% recommend

Starting from the beginning, Martin met us when we first arrived and we found him to be very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped, the bathroom was spacious and we had the luxury of a full size bath as well as a shower cubicle. Both were very clean and well arranged. The dining room was very attractive, all of the linen on the tables was immaculate and well pressed, the cutlery and crockery were clean . The breakfast choice was very good but the quality of the food was as good as if not better than anywhere we have ever stayed. We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend Ellie’s to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

The breakfast was fantastic with a myriad of options. My wife had eggs Benedict which I’ve never seen in a guesthouse before. My bacon sos and black pudding on a bread cake was cooked to perfection and everything was so good we booked to go again next year.

Nothing, you can’t improve on perfection. Martin and Paula run a superb guesthouse, the rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable and the en-suite bathroom is excellent with a great big shower. The property is a short walk from the seafront which is perfect as it is really quiet late at night.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts, super location

From the personal welcome to the happy departure, there was nothing not to like about this B&B. The friendliness was obvious, the property spotless and inviting, the location, 10 minutes from the swing bridge was excellent, although the walk is a little steep at times. Parking was on street with a permit system in operation. Martin supplied the required permit for the two days of our stay without being asked and our car stayed parked close to the B&B throughout our stay. I can imagine that parking during peak visitor season could be tight.

Location was great, short walk from town center. Accommodation was beautiful, and provided all the amenities required for a short break, including the extra details of bubble bath and sponges. Staff at Ellie's were more than friendly and and helpful, real pleasure staying here. Breakfast was yet again outstanding and every measure was made to provide a full gluten free breakfast.

Ellie's guest house exceeded our expectations and we would definitely visit again and highly recommend to others.

Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice and cooked perfectly. The hospitality provided by the hosts was exceptionally good. The location was also very good. Parking was also provided and we didn't have any problem finding spaces whenever we needed one.

The location of our room was on the top floor. The room itself was extremely comfortable but my wife had difficulty climbing the stairs

The breakfast was filling and enjoyable. Whitby has a lot to offer, plenty of restaurants and pubs. The bus tour takes an hour and is very informative plus your ticket is valid for a 24 hour period. Walks along the harbour are plentiful.

Unfortunately the mist was heavy over the sea so views were not possible and the fact is is a hilly area. The bus would assist the senior members around the town centre. Will visit again

Breakfast was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, always fresh and hot every morning, location was perfect 10 minute walk into the town and sea front. Perfect hosts, and added bonus of being able to park on the school carpark as the term had finished

The only issue maybe the stairs for some people, but there are ground floor rooms available

A very warm welcome from Martyn and Paula. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The Breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice. We have mobility issues and Martyn and Sandra kindly carried our suitcase to and from the room. Will definitely be returning to Ellies and recommending it to friends and family.
