The place looked like it was fully booked with the four upstairs bedrooms taken. I had a smaller room with two single beds with nice bedding. I probably wasn't expecting to share the one upstairs bathroom with so many people or the share kitchen where we all had to make our own breakfast and wash up. The bathroom was spotless and it was nice that other guests cleaned up after themselves. Good Wi-Fi.

Not so much that I didn't like - it was just that I had to keep ducking out of my room to see if and when the bathroom was available to have a shower, and trying to time my breakfast so we weren't all in the way of each other. A family staying downstairs also used the upstairs kitchen so we were "dancing" around each other. The only other time I've stayed at a B&B was in the UK where they cook breakfast for you, so it was a different experience here. But no real complaints - it is a B&B after all.

The property was stunning. The grounds are impressive and the house has lovely, old-world charm due to the many beautiful antiques. The owners were very pleasant and we were grateful that they permitted us to sign in 20 minutes early. Our room was tastefully furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The self-catering breakfast offered a good variety of drinks, cereals, breads and spreads, and the option to cook bacon and eggs.

Unfortunately, our bedroom and ensuite bathroom looked onto a brick corridor. Consequently, the nearby bedroom, with a shared bathroom, would have been preferred.

Comfy and warm double bed, brekkie included their own eggs from their chooks which you cook for yourself at your own leisure, late check out at 11am. We got a room with no bathroom or tv, which suited us just fine because we spent most of our time outdoors. You're only sharing a bathroom with 4 other rooms. There is a huge balcony facing the winter sun, which has a lovely view of the property. This hotel is small dog friendly and complete with a pool, big bbq, firepits, and pool table.

No shops, hospitals, cabs or uber close by. Be careful and smart about how you travel as there are no lights on the road at night and they get wallabies in the area which may jump out onto the road.

Everything!!! Where to start…. The staff/ owners were delightful and went so far to make everyone feel comfortable and provide everything you could need. The property was fully equipped, from ample indoor and outdoor areas to relax and take time to enjoy the beautiful interior of the property to its outside grounds. The pool was great, as well as the BBQ area and plenty of provided food for breakfast. Everything was spotless and you can tell a lot of love and care went into the property. Thank you so much!

There was nothing to fault!

We had access to a good selection of food with good kitchen facilities. Sharing with other guests takes a little give and take by all concerned and was good in our experience. Standard of accommodation and location helps in the type of guests which would come to this fabulous period building. The four-poster bed was very comfortable and there was ample room in the ensuite.

It could have been slightly improved by owners to explain functions and location of remotes for things like air conditioner etc. but that was a minor issue which could be explained by our later than normal arrival.

What can I say, this place is so amazing . The location is so tranquil and beautiful. The owner is so helpful and is so customer focused. Not a true B and B, way better. Everything supplied farm fresh eggs, bacon, fresh bread, milk and milk alternatives, fresh juice. They also have a full kitchen that you can use to cook anything you like. The bed was amazing, so many variables, rooms with on suites , rooms with beds only and shared bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again, tuncurry 15 minutes down the road, so convenient

Nothing, everything was supplied

It's a restored old property with numerous accommodation options and an enormous garden. There are good options for relaxing with both a downstairs and upstairs tasteful lounge setting, as well as a swimming pool and entertainment deck. It would be a good spot for a wedding weekend or just to chill out and relax for a couple of days

Despite our best efforts, we did meet the local mosquitoes whilst on the balcony. Unfortunately, right now there are road works on the highway which are audible in the morning s (but hopefully that won't be a long term problem.

we loved everything about it! From the moment we stepped in, the friendly and incredibly funny host set the tone for a memorable experience. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the space. It was clear that the host took pride in maintaining a spotless environment, ensuring that every corner was inviting and comfortable. The natural surroundings provided a breathtaking backdrop to our stay. The location offered not only a great view but also a sense of tranquility that made it a perfect retreat. Being so close to Forster was a major plus, allowing us to easily explore the area while enjoying the seclusion and serenity of this place.

Wow!! Honestly just stay here!! We had only one night with our toddler, but wish we had more. Palmyra is perfectly located 10 mins from the highway and 10mins from gorgeous beaches - Diamond Beach, Black Head, and further on the larger town of Forser-Toncurry. The set up where you can cook your own food anytime with the ingredients provided was kind of the perfect mix of hotel and air bnb/apartment convenience. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated and the owners were kind, caring and polite - their attention to detail and love of the property shines through. Really couldn't fault any aspect of Palmyra. We will be back and as much as we don't want the secret to get out, will refer all of our travelling friends too!

The host was lovely and friendly and made me feel right at home. The accommodation was set up in a period manner as suited the age of the house. The place has been wonderfully renovated and the vintage feel is warm and welcoming. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed. The breakfast was self-serve and there was a good range of items available to choose from to eat. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils required as well and the dining area was well set out with a lovely view of the gardens. The pool looked wonderful and inviting although I didn't have time to use it. That would be a great plus for anyone staying over the warmer months.
