As a gardener, I could not resist this special place, designed by a landscape designer, for my first stay in the Atlantic rainforest. The beautiful grounds give way to total nature in steps. It was quiet and comfortable, a true getaway from it all but easy to reach town in minutes by boat. The walk to Abraao is worth doing once, but make use of the convenient boat to reach the more impressive hiking paths on the island. We enjoyed listening to the frogs and birds—watch out for hummingbirds and bright blue butterflies. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic.

If you're looking for paradise, you've got to go to O Sitio. The location is already unique, in the middle of nature, directly on the beach, it's a haven of peace. Then the staff are incredible, and I'd like to thank them again for their kindness, because with them anything is possible! The breakfast is perfect, everything is fresh In short, I can't recommend this place highly enough, and all I want to do is go back.

O Sitio is simply wonderful. The beauty of the lush garden leading you down to a wonderful little private beach with a couple of nearby restaurants, the friendly staff going above and beyond, the amazing owners —it’s all unmatched. It’s hard to capture how beautiful this boutique hotel is with photos, you’ll just have to go visit. We can’t wait to go back.

It's the perfect place to chill, relax or have an adventure on Ilha Grande. First I have to mention the staff and the owners. This place is run with a big heart and in good taste. We felt more like best friends than customers. The staff help you every day, organize trips, explain the island and advise what to eat. It was a real pleasure to spend time with these people. The hotel is perfectly located. Close to the main city from which many trips can be made. The place is cozy and not crowded. It has access to the beach with private equipment such as umbrellas, chairs, kayak, sup and more. On the beach there is also very nice staff who can bring something to eat and drink, and also help with water equipment. Our room was basic but very comfortable, clean and with a really big bed. The bathroom has good quality cosmetics for daily use. We didn't have comfortable garden furniture (only two hard chairs) but enjoyed spending time in the common area with lots of nice furniture to chill in (hammocks and sofas). The hotel has a small restaurant that prepares a rich and tasty breakfast. You can also have lunch or dinner there. Also in the neighborhood is a great restaurant with very tasty food. Finally, about the garden, it is beautiful and well-kept. The hotel is located directly in the forest and the garden is part of it. He is very well prepared to spend a nice time and not artificial.

This is such a special place. The gardens and the beach are an absolute oasis- we spent the whole week gazing around in awe. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and we loved waking up to the view of the trees every morning. Service was exceptional! Both of the managers were incredibly warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and the attention to detail and thought was impeccable - we felt like anything that we could need or want was anticipated and provided without even mentioning it. The breakfast was the best! Beautifully laid out every morning with the most delicious fresh fruit, bread, cheese and meat, and the ladies in the kitchen made phenomenal cakes and eggs in any way you requested. And we have to mention Amanda’s caipirinhas, which were the best we’ve ever had! 😉 Thank you, O’Sitio, for the most wonderful and unforgettable stay!

Breath taking property run like a family business. Room are really well furnished, super cozy and most importantly very clean and not humid. We have stayed in 2 places on the island and OSitio definitely has exceeded our expectations. There is a beach with umbrellas and sun beds with all beach equipment (incl. canoe, SUP). Breakfast and dinner are simply delicious. Especially dinner’s dishes are even better than many restaurants we tried.

Nothing really. We were even stuck in Aabrao in the evening with lot of rain and they came and pick us up with the boat.

The most stunning location to stay in. The gardens are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Right on a beautiful beach, which has a few bars and restaurants on, just round the bay from Abraão, which you can taxi boat too. Or a half an hour walk through the jungle, although I wouldn’t do this u less your prepared. Its a much nicer beach than the one in Abraão. The staff are so amazing and accommodating, you can whatsapp them any thing. particularly loved Amanda, she made us feel so welcome and special. Amazing beac service, food and drinks brought to you when ever you want. Breakfast buffet every morning, can eat dinner with them also if you choose. It really felt like true Paradise and relaxation!! I would recommend to everyone visiting Ilha Grande.

not a negative, just want to warn you to bring cash to the island as there is no cash point and you cannot get taxi boats without cash.

this is a paradise. Tania, the owner, make you felling as in your own house. The place is so relaxing and the garden is stunning. You are nearby the center of the island but in an intimate position. The beach is private and you have got several trekking to explore the whole island. Ask for a massage with Stefany you will not try another massage like that! thank you Tania, Mari and Cami for all your help and kindness, very grateful to meet you in this life

This is one of the most idyllic places I’ve stayed in my life and definitely the best place to stay in Ilha Grande. The property makes you feel like you are in your own private façenda or country home in Brazil with both natural jungle beauty as well as a pristine beach. The beach at Abraãozinho is like a private swimming pool, calm and gorgeous. The food is delicious and the attention of the staff is unlike many other places, personalized, kind and responsive. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return with our larger family.

We loved everything! If you are looking for a place away from the crowds in Abraão, but only a 7mins boat ride away from the town, this is your place.

the fact that there’s no coffee in the room and they still charge for every Nespresso you get. plus the fact that the property can only be accessed by boat and the property charges you each time you use their boat to go to the main island, it should be complimentary given how expensive the rooms are.
