It would be great to have gym

Although the booking was for two two bedroom apartments one had only one bedroom and a small single room and we were expected to use the living area to sleep. Reception staff initially refused to change the accommodation until we insisted. The system for booking is very poor and needs addressing. We have stayed at the Planibel for over twenty years and we were treated appallingly. Furthermore, we were not permitted the key to the second room which was booked in my name until the party arrived. This occurred after 11 pm and my grandchildren, one of which is disabled, had to wait to access their room. This is an antiquated system given that I had paid for the room already.

Very happy with our stay here - we have stayed at the planibel around 4 times over the years as we love to Skii - however this time was the best as the refurbishment works are amazing! The hotel has really levelled up and the prices are so reasonable for what you get. We travelled with family and two of us didnt skii so was lovely to have a huge room with a balcony facing the slopes to watch everything. The location is amazing - and the facilites around the hotel are great - you have everything you need - supermarket / coffee / lunch / dinner / spa&swimming pool / clothing shops etc etc. Planibel is the only place we would choose to stay when skiing for years to come :)

We stayed in the residence and our 2 bed apartment was overlooking the piste, it was an incredible location! We didn't use any of the hotel facilities as it was very expensive, but we didn't need them, the skiing was fabulous. We felt that there wasn't that many places to eat and the village restaurants got really booked up, so advisable to book beforehand. The apartment was really spacious with a private balcony to store our skis. The kitchen didn't have any condiments, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc. but there is a good shop nearby. Just about enough cutlery, but the kitchen needed more equipment, it was very sparse, we didn't cook in it much. Beds v. comfy and loads of space. We love La Thuile, we skied the mountain a few trimes, this was the first time staying there and we loved it, we would definitely come back.

Proximity to the lifts and to restaurants and shops as well as walking distance to the village of La Thuile.

WiFi is weak, no self-service laundry facilities, usage of pool for residents in the apartments not included and the rates are not reasonable, no basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, sponge or dishwashing liquid. Quite wasteful ti have to purchase a whole bottle of dishwashing soap for 4 nights. We’ve stayed at other ski apartment resorts like this in the past and a bag with dishrag, sponge and small bottle 50ml of dishwashing liquid were given upon arrival. Would have liked to see a list in the apartments with emergency contact info and closest trauma center as many come from outside of Italy. Apartments facing the main square can be very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights as the music from the local bar plays late.

location and a comfortable apartment, very warm and lots of hot water ,everything you need within a small walk .

we have been coming to the Planibel for years and have never come across a happy or pleasant member of staff on the reception ,( occasionally evening staff are ok )I now think it because the place is so large that they are trained to run it like a school never to lose control ,regimented , a smile would be nice .

The atmosphere,the accessibility and the swimming pool. But the kids club was very bad :( sorry for that but our children came out of that with alot tears. Was boring, the watched cartoon in another language ( not English) which is shocked !!! The childminders in kids club couldn't speak English properly. This was the only thing and the big thing very disappointed. Thanks

Excellent location to the ski lifts. With a choice of 2 lifts only 50 metres from the apartment. Ski hire shop and well stocked supermarket 50 metres away, with fresh bread available from 8am each day. Bar, serving good food, only 100 metres from the apartment. The village centre is a 10 minute walk if you want to find some different restaurants to try. The room was modern and very clean, with all the basic essentials provided to prepare and cook your own food. Having 2 bathrooms made it ideal for 4 adults sharing the 1 bed apartment. Great ski area for a long weekend trip, especially if you can make it over to La Rosiere.

Once the sofa bed is pulled out in the open plan living / kitchen area becomes a little cramped for 4 adults. However, for the time you spend in the room we didn't mind at all. We found the hotel restaurant to be underwhelming. Poor service and very average food.

our apartment was at the base of the ski hill, where you could just put your ski boots on in your room and hop on the lift! it was a beautiful room, with a really comfortable bed, kitchenette and dining area, a nice bathroom and a boot room (which was really nice so we didn’t track snow into the rest of the apartment). the staff were really helpful when we asked for anything like extra pillows. even the couch was comfortable!

the kitchenette was well stocked except we could have used a little dish soap so we could do dishes between meals

we have stayed here a number of times ,it is very convenient and has every thing you need ,ski hire ,food ,drink ,pub gym ,pool ,on the slopes at the end of the ski day you only have a 2 minute walk , in the evening a 5 minute walk into town .Apartments very clean modern spacious and has everything you need .

lacks character not a pretty ski resort but extremely functional and a lot extra charges when arrive if you are staying in the apartments,pool ,parking ,deposits all extra , not made clear when booking .
