Everything, this is a very comfortable and nice hotel with very friendly staff (e.g. Abdullah was taking perfectly care of me during breakfasts and dinners). Everyone was very nice and helpful, the facilities are clean, nice and beautiful. The pool is big and well maintained. Nothing to dislike here.

There is one thing, which are the company events that take place there. For whatever reason management has decided that it is ok for these to also use/take place the guest facilities. So suddenly you have 60 day-guests in the pool or even worse 40 people drinking beer and whiskey-cola next to the pool area, getting drunk, screaming and singing. I do not think that this is an appropriate policy for a hotel like this. Normally company events should be restricted to the meeting rooms/location and maybe a separated terrace or so, so that they do not use the same facilities as guests trying to relax. This also goes for food, which should normally be served specifically for the event in the event room location and not together with the guests.

Everything from check in to check out was amazing. Particularly loved the how big the pool area was since we could relax without a lot of other people around. Buffet was amazing with its variety of different foods. The evening turn down service was really handy to stock up on water bottles and get fresh towels. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Public beach area behind the hotel was not conducive to lounging around in, which was understandable. Hoping that the management can improve that in the coming years.

The check in was easy especially as we arrived early in the morning. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, especially at breakfast and dinner. The food was fresh and of extremely high quality and caters to all pallettes. There were different dishes each night so we never got bored of the food. Darshi, the manager, went out of her way to provide us with assistance for a special request. All of the management staff were lovely and highly skilled at their job. The barista and the lady making the eggs on request were both wonderful. The room were to a high spec and the cleaning staff were very thorough and professional. We lacked nothing through our stay. The rooftop bar was the best way to relax after a relaxing day 😄

The welcome was very good. The hotel room service was excellent. The variety and quality of breakfast were so good. The quality of various types of bread and pastries, especially waffles, was excellent. The staff's attitude was very friendly and respectful. Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. The unique welcome with local dances was very captivating. Having young, professional, attentive, and motivated staff was one of the hotel's strengths. At the end, I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Janindu Meegoda, the assistant manager of the hotel's restaurant and bar, for the memorable and high-quality hospitality provided at the Olive Seafood Restaurant. Additionally, the professional and diverse food service by the young head chef of the Olive restaurant and the dinner service by Mr. Kaushan provided a different experience for us.

In my opinion, it would be better from a hygiene standpoint if items such as shampoo, body wash gel, and hair conditioner were provided in single-use packets or tubes.

The food is probably the best I have experienced in any 5* hotel ever. The quality, the choice, the service. Out of this World and consistently so day after day. This is our second stay at this hotel and it won't be our last. Especially worth a mention are the thoughtful touches such as eggless pastries for breakfast and general catering for vegetarians and meat eaters. Something tasty for everyone. I cannot say enough about the quality of food and beverage services at this hotel, room service is of the same standard, try the grilled barrimundi. I also should mention the housekeeping, friendly, honest and professional. Lovely people.

Difficult to order room service due to crackling phones, you can't hear each other at all. This was the same in our first room as well.

This hotel is definitely a resort and has all the facilities one would expect. The staff, food and facilities are exceptional. We enjoyed the pool, beach access, turtle sanctuary, buffet breakfast and Olive Restaurant. We particularly liked the outdoor seating for breakfast. We were assigned a guardian angel Satya S and she couldn't do enough for us. She was at the end of a text whenever we needed her.

mold in the bathroom, we did not complain about this to the hotel as we wanted two rooms next to each other.

The staff were very attentive and really looked after us, especially front of house and in Olive, the pool bar. The hotel has a beautiful setting, surrounded by green jungle (where we saw monkeys and iguanas) and a clean, deserted and picturesque beach.

The lack of choice of restaurants although we were told that a Mediterranean restaurant and rooftop bar will be opening in the next month or so.

Everything is excellent, special thanks to the manger Darshi Peiris to make this trip unforgettable. Service, food, facilities and rooms are great. We booked for 3 nights and we extended our stay at the hotel because of the service and the friendess of all the staff. We been to couple of hotels, but the Sherton is best hotel we stayed on in all Sri Lanka

property is good but around the property there is a canal water stagnant and stinks also there are mosquitoes in the night near restaurant

I have stayed in this area 8 times in various hotels and this is definitely the BEST food! I was really impressed with both the buffet and room service in terms of quality and range, especially the egg free breakfasts and labelling on menus. The vegetable lasagne on room service is incredible, highly recommend. Room is clean and plunge pool immaculate, no complaints at all.

It's hard to ring room service because the phone is very quiet and impossible to hear each other.
