A very nice experience, we felt home. Room comfortable, well decorated and clean. The special touch is the shared room downstairs with terrace, fireplace and free wine! We decided not to dinner, bought some cheese and other treats in a close supermarket just to enjoy the wine and fireplace in this special night. Laura was another diferencial, giving us a lot of tips, sharing her pilgrim story and giving us a nice gift, las manos del Camino. I will never forget!

Bathroom was private but not inside the room. It was really close and we had the keys, but I would prefer if it was inside the room. Other than that, experience was great and this small detail does not change our excellent perception about this hostel.

We stayed in the second building not far from the main one. It has in the lower level a wonderful common area with sofas, fireplace, a large kitchen to prepare your own meal if you’d like (which we did) and a classic dining table. Great ambiance. The two rooms we stayed in were spacious with comfortable beds. Best of all was the host, Marcela’s. living hospitality. She prepared a breakfast (optional, extra fee) that was generous in its portions and a great way to meet the other guests who were also Camino pilgrims.

Everything was excellent. No complaints whatsoever!

Marcela treated me like family. She was kind, funny, and warm. She provided us with an incredible breakfast of orange juice, coffee, eggs, toast, incredible jelles, and pancakes with chocolate, a good send-off to start El Camino de Santiago. The room was perfect, a comfy bed, a beautiful bathroom, nice towels, shampoo, hot water, and a balcony overlooking the old chapel. Very welcoming entry where you can sit and talk story, and have a coffee and tea Perfect location, near the start of El Camino, supermarket, pharmacy, and areas of interest. I felt very safe as a woman traveling solo. Matilda is the sweetest dog.

Spent our night before the start of our first Camino and already received by this very warm hospitality. Marcela, the owner, gave us a lot of tips to discover the town and to prepare morally the camino. In a typical Galician cold and rainy weather in April, the property is maintained warm and quiet. Kitchen and living room is well equipped. It is located not far from the camino path. Gracias, Marcela!

We were not earlier warned that the flush of the WC doesn't work after 22h00, but we find that this is a correct way to respect the other pilgrims preparing the camino.

Beautiful place, setting was relaxing and welcoming! Arrive much earlier than expected, and was greeted outside by Alejandra! She instantly made us feel welcome and excited for our night there. She took time to talk to us about the town and the good and not so good spots to visit. She truly made us feel like she was excited for us to be there. I did not really care if the room was nice or not after talking with her for ten minutes. Her energy was so bright, I was happy to be there regardless. The room turned out to be excellent, and the breakfast next morning was even better. I would fly back to Sarria just to stay here longer. Great stay along the Camino! Thanks!

The hostess Marcela is our absolute favorite. She made our stay magical from the minute we arrived. The facilities were perfect and spacious and her hospitality made our stay one of best of this year!! Her breakfast in the morning is fantastic and her mission is to make her guests feel like they are at home in Sarria! We would highly recommend La Casona for pilgrims and vacationers!!

Not one thing!!

Best stay since Saint Jean. The host has completed the Camino 7 times and it shows. Everything a pilgrim would want/need after a long day walking. Clean, comfortable, and cozy in a beautiful building. Free wine/beer/soda/coffee . A fire and comfy couches to sit on and a lovely garden (that we didn't use because it was raining). Would recommend to anyone in Sarria and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Marcela is the best hostess. Marcela - if you are reading this this is Tamir & Yifat from Israel. The morning of Oct 7th was a dark day for Israel but your internal sunshine was a bit of comfort at that day. Thank you for the warm hug and generous hospitality! Great breakfast we sat with different people from all over the world and a nice chat.

Clean room. Comfortably bed. Antonio was very helpful at check in. A nice treat to offer free drinks to guest and common area to relax inside or out.

Noise from rooms next to and above. I knew about the separate private bathroom ahead of time, but it certainly wasn’t as convenient as one in the room. Not a big problem, just not ideal.

Marcella, the owner was very warm, welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was good, especially the pancakes with chocolate syrup. The bedsheets, blankets and towels smelled good and were very clean.

The room we got on the top floor seemed like a converted attic - it had sloped ceilings and it was easy to bump your head if you are not mindful. It was also dark and did not feel very comfortable. I wish I had upgraded to a better, brighter room.
