Really convenient for the airport, but also right on the beach! Very quiet when you consider Stavanger airport is just the other side of the road - but the flight path doesn’t go over the hotel, so you hardly ever hear a plane when you’re inside. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were all helpful and friendly (and spoke good English 😁). Breakfast buffet was really fresh and tasty.

We went at the beginning of school holidays and the place was full of families. Could benefit from an adult only space in the restaurant, as mealtimes did feel like eating in a school canteen at times. Obviously depends on who is staying and how much latitude the kids are given to run around!

Generally, everything important: - the location at the beach - breakfast in the price and quite rich - nicely equipped room (quality shampoo+shower gel, conditioner, hand soap, and hand+body lotion, lufa, 3 types of cushions/pillows, coffee+tea maker, etc.) - cleanliness - family-friendly - electric car charging in the price - sounds from the airport were not disturbing

Only minor things, I would still choose the hotel again:) - very soft mattress, which meant when one of us even slightly moved on the bed, the other felt it, if both were near, then we were simply falling to each other (ok if you are used to it, disturbing if not) - bit of a labyrinth to get to the rooms in the other part of the building when going inside (heavy rains), especially with a stroller when you need to carry it on a few stairs to get to the elevator - the thermostat is providing kind a lot of light in the night if you are used to complete dark in the night, but it was helpful when going to the bathroom :)

Beautifully located hotel right by the beach. We asked to move rooms due to bed accesssability after the first night, and were given a beautiful alternative room with a stunning view and extremely comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms include a small fridge which is very useful for drinks etc. The breakfast is superb, fresh and yummy wide choice in food and always fully stocked. Overall a wonderful stay, and would definitely return.

You need to be aware beforehand that use of the pool will incure extra costs, it is not included in the hotel stay. Also, the hotel is used for many functions (both business and private) which means it can get a little loud in the evenings depending on the type of event

The hotel was beautiful- view of beach,- half Glass ceiling in room w remote controlled shade. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally presented . Food was terrific. Hotel n restaurant staff seemed eager to please- lots of smiles . Staying at Sola Strand made the focus of that part of our trip- to see the Lysefjord n Pulpit Rock perfect for us. We were on a 3000 km car trip from a wedding in Petersberg Hesse DE , ancestors finding a distant cousin in Vorra Bavaria with sightseeing along the way , thru Denmark n relatives in Sweden n back to Frankfurt n home in Texas. Sola Strand was great.

I recently stayed at this hotel which is right near the beach, and despite the rain throughout my visit, it was a wonderful experience. The staff were kind and incredibly helpful, making sure everything was just right. The fire lighting was a perfect touch, adding warmth and comfort on rainy days. The food was lovely, offering delicious meals that made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

While the hotel was conveniently near the airport, getting there can be a hassle without a car. There’s no bus service, and the taxi fare is very expensive. You really need a car if you’re staying at this hotel. There’s no direct way into Stavanger unless you take a taxi back to the airport and then catch a bus from there. I only stayed one night as I had an arranged trip, but I wanted to let others know if anyone was using it as an overnight.

Friendly staff. Lots of variety at the breakfast buffet, comfy beds, fluffy pillows and towels. We got a room with ocean view, which was lovely. The beach is very, very close to the hotel, which is awesome. Lots of outdoor sitting areas. Also, this is the first time I get a loofah among the toiletries, which I really appreciate. The soap and shampoo smell really good, and the conditioner left my hair feeling great. Amazing italian pizza at the bar (pricey but delicious). Access to the spa area where the pool and saunas are is not included in the price, and it's paid per person and per day, so it's a bit of a splurge. We paid for one day and it was very enjoyable. If the weather is warm at night, there's a small fan in the room (no AC though). One small improvement could be adding a shoe horn.

We were encouraged to try out the grill buffet for dinner, which was expensive, and there wasn't really a lot of grilled food tbh. The one beef option was tasteless, it needed salt and it was rubbery, and we hope they switch it out for something else because it was very disappointing. The side dishes were really good, and the sausages, fish and chicken were OK.

Family room, double bed and sleeping couch. 2 adults and 2 kids(5-7). Nice and big room, good breakfast, good selection of food, good space. Clean rooms but som missed spots in the corners and under the bed. Nice staff and service minded young adults at the breakfast, offers you coffie and ask if you want a refill. It is the small things that counts. Payed 1450 nok for this room that was bought in a new Years sale. Thats GOOD value for money and that is also why rating is so good. If the price had been double rating would definitely been lower due to small things that should be better. But, we had a great time and will be back when the price is right!

Noisy ventilation. Been traveling a lot so got my foam ear plugs with me so no issue. Also a bit noisy when water from spa section and other rooms beeing used above us. We lived in the spa section but did not use it but smelled a bit of chlorine in the room because of that, but a good window ventilation cured that. TV without APPS(not a smart tv) and not able to connect to phone or iPad to watch movies. Fixed channels! Breakfast was good but missed the most important, BACON! Only one slice of bacon pr. egg.

The restaurant was very nice. I especially enjoyed the view from the restaurant! Also, breakfast buffet was really, really good. And the staff at the breakfast buffet was great, especially the woman coming around with fresh coffee.

The view from my room was just the parking lot, but then, I didn't pay extra for a nice view, so that's on me. There was a light on the temperature control in the room that was really irritating at night; I had to cover it with a sock!

I love your hotell! I have been there, I think 3-4 times the last spring/summer. It's an amazing location, the beach, the weather, the retaurant is great! I love the fish and ships. I love the spa. I find the people at the restaurant and bar very friendly.

I've been there so many times this spring, I wonder why there`s neve any discount for staying there so many times? Also it´s very random where I get a room - Last vistit its been great rooms - (double rooms, and one with a hot tub. But both rooms have been extremely noisy. Last time, my windows was towards the entrance. Thats, fine. But everytime I've been there it's been a wedding, so It`s been loud. The room was so hot, but I couldnt put the windows up. Also - the waiters and everything in the restaurant it so cute, but I don't find the receptionist very welcoming. There always a line, and they are busy with other things when I arrive or try to check out.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location was perfect. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We got a room with a balcony and a seaside view. We took a walk by the beach just a few meters away and then had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves. It couldn't have been better.

Nothing really. It's an old hotel but I found it charming.
