Perfect location - bike hiring is good too

Can't recall if they told us that hiring a bike was $80! One of the tyres went flat, and they could not pick us up, so, we had to walk back to the hotel. What would have happened if we were further out in the Riesling trail? I guess they need to have a plan for those unforeseen situations.

Apartment was very good. For 2 couples or family. We had Apartment on the lake. Good breakfast

A little needs doing on some of the buildings. Eg grass growing in the gutters. Some needed painting . Just more care needed on outside around the appartments.

The staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful. I was travelling without my husband on this occasion, and selected the Country Club because I knew I would feel safe during my 4 night stay. Newly refurbished rooms with walk-in shower and comfortable bed. Happy hour in the bar with an open fire is a great way of mingling with other guests before dinner. The breakfast option is amazing value and delicious. I had dinner one evening which was also delicious and good value. The Clare Valley is a wonderful choice for lovely wineries and eating out options, and the Reisling Trail is wonderful for walks and cycling.

The grounds and property are looking a little rundown.

Our room was absolutely lovely, very clean. very comfortable bed. Our meal was exceptional, cooked to perfection. We had the dukkah and chicken skewers for entree which was delicious. We both had the steak for mains, one was rare, the other medium rare, and they were exactly that. Potatoes were average and not very many of them. Dessert was quite nice, but all in all we loved our meal. Loved the lounge bar with the fireplace, and the breakfast was very nice too, not too keen on the powdered eggs though and it could have been warmer, but that is probably being a bit picky lol.

Very noisy, especially when people were checking in, and also from 7am in the morning. The room was quite expensive but when the receptionist saw what we paid, she threw in a complimentary breakfast which was very much appreciated. Only 5 sachets of coffee in the room, but we only had a couple of cups so it didnt really matter.

The room we were in was newly renovated and was pet friendly. They even provided a comfy dog bed and bowls. Breakfast was standard for this type of accommodation. Very nice walking the dog around the golf course early in the morning with the birds in the gum trees. The lounge bar with fire and chesterfield chairs was very cosy and comfortable. We also took a 6 hour wine tour with lunch included and it was fantastic.

A car is required to get around as taxis are expensive because most of the attraction ie wineries are 10 to 15km away in various locations.

Had a great long weekend at the Clare Country Club for a girls winery weekend away. Rooms were adjoining which was excellent, they were spacious, new & clean with a big bath tub in each room. The apartment had a full size fridge and a stove top. Breakfast was good, shower pressure was good, beds comfy, different pillow options. Parking was ample.

No shade around the pool and it was very hot. Apparently the large umbrellas were removed because they blew away when it was windy and that was dangerous. It would be nice if the deck chairs had smaller umbrellas people could put up or down as an alternate option

Very peaceful stay in the room adjacent the golf course. It was hot and the air con did its job well. Comfy bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

She's an old girl now (built 1994) but the rooms have had a mild revamp and are pretty good, however the dining room and pool area are overdue for some modernisation. Especially the pool which on a hot day doesn't cope with the number of guests trying to cool off and there is absolutely no shade.

The dinner was fantastic! Compliments to the chef. I had two entrees- chicken skewers with the tomato salad - perfect 👌🏻 My husband had crumbed chicken which he said was delicious - much better than some we have had at some places where they are deep fried - yuk

Access to our room (29) was not really easy. We are both fairly agile so it was no problem but it was not easy or straightforward. The shower screen needs some sort of edging- it was lovely and clean and not easy to actually see where it “ended”. Just a bit dangerous perhaps

Great hot breakfast. Comfy bed. Very very clean accommodation. Great bathroom, very new.Great big well proportioned room and bathroom. Very accommodating with our requests for the room(we asked for no sofa ,carpet,nb picture), really appreciated the kind housekeeping staff. Pool was being cleaned on our first day, didn't swim but saw kids enjoying themselves the next day, a pool for mucking about, not laps. Loved our stay.

Very clean, only negative are the pigeons on the roof. Didn't bother me but is probably a hygiene issue in the longer term.

The studio room overlooking the lake was newly renovated and spacious, in a block of 4. The bathroom was very good. It's close to all Clare amenities and the food in the restaurant was good. It was too hot for golf, so the pool came in handy. Service friendly and efficient. We would go back again.

The bar and dining room overlooked the lake but had no atmosphere. A few decor tweaks and having all the tables set would improve the ambience. The pool area needed more seating, and there were no umbrellas set up, even though it was 39°C.
