The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable beds. We had our dog and they provided food bowls, a dog bed and a couple of treats. The kids had a great time in the pool.

There is a restaurant that we didn’t go to. It would be nice if breakfast was included in the price. There was a problem with the booking and I am not sure if the error was with booking.com or the hotel. It took a while to receive a refund but both sides worked hard to solve it and the staff was always very friendly.

The staff there were exceptional, very customer oriented and responsive. I prepaid through Booking.com and the rate was non-refundable. Unfortunately, freezing rain and snow warnings made travel not advisable due to safety concerns. The Booking.com site said hotel make not charge customers even though the rate was non-refundable. When I contacted Rodd Miramachi they were very understanding and polite and cancelled the rate/fees. To date, Booking.com has refused to reverse the charges (I had prepaid) despite the position taken by the hotel. I am not sure how Booking are going to resolve this, but I should not have to pay considering weather precluded me from using the reservation and the hotel waived all charges during the very first call I had with them. I have stayed at the Rodd Miramichi before and this review reflects my experience there, It is a GREAT hotel to stay when in Maramichi.

The difficulties with the pre-payment arrangement, which was not caused in any way by the hotel. The Rodd Maramichi was excellent to deal with.

The rooms were clean and had a good amount of space in them. The pool was big but the shallow end is not very shallow(4ft). My daughter couldn’t go in without us holding her and she is 6.

They were having a problem with the tv when there so we only have maybe 10 channels. So when we were inside at night, we had nothing to watch but the news.

The restaurant was very good. We had our dog with us and couldn’t eat in the dining room so we ordered supper and they brought it to the room for us. Because we were travelling with our dog, we arrived to a dog bed, dog dish and a lovely doggie lute package! I thought that was so nice!

The air conditioning unit didn’t work in our room, but after we informed the front desk, they had maintenance people fixing the problem right away.

It is the second time we stop and stay at this hotel and always love our stay here. Beds were comfortable, rooms were immaculately clean, very new facilities so everything works well, nice pool, fluffy towels and the restaurant food was also amazing. Also location is a nice spot by the water, took a stroll to the small wharf toward the bridge. The price was also pretty reasonable.

It is a great location. They do have a number of facilities, and it is on the River. Walking trails are close, as are other shops and services. Nice to have Housekeeping services back. Rooms are a nice size and well appointed and very clean.

The hotel and property are great. The restaurant does need work. It does not appear clean, and the food is not up to their old standards. Salmon was way overcooked, and the chicken alfredo was bland.

The hotel is located right on the edge of the Miramachi river so the views from the rooms are very nice. The restaurant has an outdoor seating area overlooking the river which is very pleasant.

The elevator was not operational during our stay, so it was a little inconvenient carrying our luggage to the third floor.

The hotel was dog friendly and there was a yappy noisey dog in a room nearby and doggy smells in the elevator. The owner may have snuck in the dog as we were told that dogs were on the first floor and we were on the second.

The hotel is in a fabulous location by the river with great views from the dining room and pool. Unfortunately our rooms were on the car park side of the hotel but at least that made moving our bags easier. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both meals were very good. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool.

The pool was great but the jacuzzi wasn't working properly; it was hot enough but there were no bubbles. Also the televisions had no signal which was a shame.

Didn't have dinner or breakfast, but that was fine. I hadn't read where it was extra $ for breakfast so we just had coffee from the room and continued on. Loved the location, room was great, people great. All was good. We are from Ontario but if we ever get out that way again we would definately stay here.
