Location of this Hotel directly on the beach , Downtown core + 15 minutes ( 11 km )from Santo Domingo airport , nice big room bed a little hard but perfect, all rooms have furnished balcony . the resort is not too big so nothing is too far away, plenty of helpful staff usually short wait at the different Bars for drinks , it's an old resort yes some of the furniture is not perfect but it's fine , pools are clean, limited buffet options but you're downtown plenty of restaurants less than 10 minutes walk from the resort bank and ATM machine 2 minutes walk .. my fridge kept beer cold in my room ... Next time I pass through Santo Domingo and still want the beach instead of Capital city I will return here ...

I had a big room with a seating area on the top floor so my A/C was not sufficient to keep room cool ( next visit I will ask for a second floor or third floor room not top floor) the pools close at 19:00 way to early day heat not yet gone ...

The rooms were very clean and big, and the staff was friendly. Food was good. Super close to the beach. People need to manage their expectations. This is a true 3 star resort in an undeveloped country and you get what you pay for. Do not come here expecting an America/European experience. I feel most of the reviews here are negative and unnecessary. If you want 5 stars go to Punta Cana. I did not experience any roaches/cold water or safety issues. My air conditioner was blasting and I was very comfortable. Security is swarming the place so I did feel very safe. However, this is not the type of place where you wander off the resort at night.

Italian restaurant food was pretty bad. It's basically non stop harassment on the beach(which I understand, people have to make a living) but when you're on vacation and want to relax it can be quite difficult, so I ended up hanging out by the pool since it was more peaceful.

all went very well! one complaint..i have to wait until midnight to go to sleep as the entertainment which seem like it was for the elderly was just outside my room and the music was extremely loud! i will definitely come back but not to that wing of the hotel. If the entertainment (show) which is excellent, is necessary, by all means "show must go on" i just need to be on the other side, so i can go to sleep..the food and service to by far the best! thank for a great time..be back soon

my room was next to the performance show with very loud music and i have to wait until midnight to go to sleep.

Staff at reception....particularly Virgilio and Adamo (sp?) were very friendly and helpful Music Bar choices

Location was great also pool, food, staff was excellent

The front lobby desk it seemed were not informed enough could use improvement with better training also the housekeeping could use improvement due to bath towels removed from room and not replaced I had to go to front lobby desk and request bath towels twice only after my 2nd visit to front desk I received towels in a timely manner.

The restaurant area is spacious with delicious food to eat. You can have meals all day long. Between the main ones, you can have burger and fries at the pool bars. From the hotel you get straight to the beach. During weekends can get sickly crowded but during the week is mostly clean and gorgeous

There was a construction next to the hotel and we experienced terrible noise from our room

The beach is perfect, the staff is always attentive and smiling.

The desserts had a really nice look, but the moment you eat, it had a very strong taste of sodium bicarbonate. This bicarbonate made it impossible to appreciate their flavor. The drinks were very watered down.

On the beach workers very friendly been going there for many years at least once a year they treat us like family

Food was fair they should serve better Dominican style food and the Chef should be more professional went to Whala in Punta cana the food was exceptional

The setting is beautiful! The town of Boca Chica is marginal??

The specialty restaurants were not open even when they said they would be only one night. The food at the buffet was mostly Dominican but we love Dominican food!

the property is very nice and comfortable the location excellent and that make enjoy our stay

The food was very good in the buffet area but when we tried to had dinner a la carte 2 night friday and saturday it was a disaster. Friday we were supposed an italian dinner and the food was very bad nothing to see with italian food and the day after it was mexican night but we had to wait more than one hour without receiving any food and then we left because we were tired to wait. If they want to offer this service they have to improve it definitively.
