My first experience of traveling to Greece was very pleasant. Thanks to the hotel, staff, restaurant, customer care, I felt like in paradise. Very clean hotel, excellent service and sincere attitude. Amazing breakfasts in the restaurant, like a buffet, but cooked with love. A great start to the day was the meeting with the charming Maria, welcoming the guests of the hotel in the restaurant. And in the evenings, the kind Kostas greeted us in the restaurant. I want to say thank you to everyone in the kitchen. The family room (two small rooms) was clean, freshly renovated, large bathroom, shampoo and shower gel as a gift. The kitchen had a coffee machine and 2 capsules of coffee, tea, sugar for a couple of days, glasses, wine glasses, an ashtray, a wine opener. There were no cutlery and plates, but if necessary, this can be borrowed from the restaurant. The tap water throughout the island is undrinkable as it is highly chlorinated, we had to buy water from a nearby supermarket. I advise you to bring extra coffee capsules with you. The refrigerator also worked well. Cleaning was every day, one day light, another day more thorough, they also changed the towels. Very quiet and peaceful place with stunning views of the sea and mountains. We walked to the sea, it was a great cardio workout. Perfect hotel for a week's holiday.

Most of all, I didn't like the fact that the week flew by and the rest in this paradise ended. I can't say anything negative about the hotel.

The whole staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, whether to organise tours, booking taxis, lending me a charger when mine broke… also reachable at almost any hour and always answering very promptly when I sent messages via the app. The hotel is very nice, with a beautiful view over the bay, small units arranged around a big swimming pool, the breakfast/lunch terrace is well shaded and allow the wind to cool you off. The Breakfast had a large choice of sweet and savory items, also vegetarian and vegan. The room was clean and well maintained during our stay.

It’s really a pity that the hotel doesn’t offer dinner anymore, there are 2 restaurants within 5-7min walk, but the walk is steep to go back. The other options are about 15-20min walk down to the beach, doable to go down during the day, exhausting and dangerous to go back up at night.

- The hotel is situated on a cliff, offering breathtaking views of the sea and Agia Pelagia village. - Next to the pool there's a small grassy area where you can relax during the day. - The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options. - The staff were generally polite and eager to assist. - Our room was spacious and clean. - There is a spacious parking area adjacent to the hotel where you can park for free.

- The swimming pool is smaller than it appears in the hotel photos. - The air-condition unit was quite old and noisy, so we had to turn it off to sleep. - Inside the bedroom there was no power outlet (socket) except one behind the bed making it difficult to use. - Be aware that the hotel will request your credit card details during check-in

The views were absolutely stunning and the hotel was clean, modern, and beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had during our trip around Crete. All in all every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations in every way; we are not the type of people who visit the same hotel twice, but we might consider returning to Pela Mare!

We loved the tranquility and the location, but the hotel is located way up the mountain, whereas the restaurants are on the beach - this might be an issue for people who don't have cars and don't feel like having a long walk.. The village "centre" itself was quiet in May.

The hotel has a beautiful view, but you have to keep in mind that beaches are not that close. The way is challenging physically, especially when it's hot. The hotel is really calm and quiet. No parties which was an advantage for us. The pool was clean and really refreshing. If you need additional towel, you can rent it. The room was small, but there was everything we needed. Breakfasts really tasty with traditional ingredients!

The smell in the bathroom was not the best.

Staff were very friendly and polite, hotel was clean with great views and served good food at reasonable prices. Swimming pool was clean and comfortable. Espresso maker in the room came in extremely useful!

The apartment was a good size for a family with a massive bathroom. I would prefer a smaller bathroom and bigger living space. As any hotel there was no washing machine, I would like a laundry service though. It's a very good hotel for short stays.

Lovely corner room - Very spacious and super clean and it was even modern and tastefully done than the photos. Loved having a kitchenette with fridge, nespresso machine and kettle for late night cup of tea. The buildings are also low rise and well spread out so it had a really lovely vibe. My room had an amazing view of the sea and property in general - there was a very lovely pool and green garden area for sunbathing. Breakfast was also good and all of the staff were really freindly and helpful. Initially I couldn't find a way to check in after a late flight that landed at 01:30. Everything was dark and shut up and I was suddenly worried... I saw a note on the door with an emergency number so guiltily rang it - I later found out that they'd sent me an email but I had not received it because I had been travelling. However, the person who answered it was really friendly and VERY helpful and they told me to look for the sheet of A4 which had been place on the nearby table, with my name, and very clear instructions showing me how to get to my room, where the key was waiting in the door and everything was ready for me. Once the guy told me this I found it was actually really well organised and I was very quickly at ease and just trotted to my room :D

I stayed just for 1 night before meeting a group so didn't have more than an overnight stay and only breakfast before being picked-up at midday. However if I had stayed longer I think I would have wanted the hotel to be closer to other facilities - it seemed a little way away from other things to do or places to go as there wasn't obvious access to beach, shops, or other restaurants. There is only 1, small cosy restaurant area which is lovely for breakfast but I think you'd want some options for dinners if you're doing several days there - so read other reviews to see what people do in those circumstances.

The staff was really nice and always ready to help. We enjoyed the pool and the view. Good buffet breakfast with a lot of options. We also valued having a restaurant, so we didn’t have to leave the hotel to have dinner. The apartment had a nice balcony. Overall a great experience

It is a bit far from the beach, not really walking distance (you have to walk on the road with cars driving by). So it’s important to keep this in mind when planning. Minor detail: The bathroom door was not the best, it was a sliding door and seemed to be out of place, so if the window was open it wouldn’t stay closed.

The staff is extremely nice, warm and helpful. They helped us with renting a car and so many other recommendations. Views are stunning. Swimming pool is very nice. And the bar has great options and excellent service.

Beaches are not nearby, so you'll probably need a car to move around. But you have the town beaches at 20 minutes walk.
