Location, cleanliness and breakfast buffet.

Parking was advertised as available via hotel when reservation was made. When we arrived for check in , we were advised that its management had been outsourced and was a public car space. The rates were not advertised or updated on website. The concierge at check in was extremely disengaged and not welcoming at all. I don’t even think they would care if reading this feedback, attitude can’t be taught… However, David and Norman were very helpful and positive which elevated the experience from staff rating on our feedback. Everyone else was friendly also but our first nights experience did not leave a good first impression. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and it was great to have an iron and ironing board and a kettle! The location was great but please be aware of the stairs you have to climb to get to the hotel. Fine for us but not for all. You can get a taxi however but it’s really not far from the railway station. Public transport links were excellent.

The air con!!! Grrrr! It was hot (visited in July) and air con would not go lower than 20C! Too hot to sleep. The bathroom with just slatted wood blinds, not for us! Min privacy which even for as a couple is a necessity.

This is an excellent hotel not very far from Lausanne's main train station but on a pedestrian road so you don't really notice you are 2 minutes to the station. The hotel gave us a modern and spacious bedroom and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was nice. The hotel has 2 restaurants (Italian and Thai) so you can eat there if it is raining outside (as it did quite a few times during our stay :( The staff at the hotel are very polite and they always welcome you with a smile (especially David).

I believe that hotels like this one should serve *fresh* orange juice with breakfast. That was a small minus. Also, they have this "Consommation Obligatoire" sign on the nice couches near the 2 restaurants where you can relax or do some work etc. I am not sure if they really enforce it, they did not bother with my "No" answer a few times, but I was not happy to see the sign.

Beautiful circular building, lobby is impressive with fauna and decor. The rooms were modern style very appealing to the eye and provided a fantastic nights sleep. We had an inward facing room and the view over the outdoor seating area was brilliant. The hotel itself is a short (but steep!) walk from the main Lausanne train station (which is also just across the road from the metro entrance, a funicular railway that spans from the bottom, lake side Ouchy- Olympique all the way up some 700m Croisettes). Therefore a very accessible hotel from public transport, but caution to those short of breath. Very kind and helpful staff, also. I was sad to only be staying one night! Would highly recommend to others.

We had a room on the fifth floor, the main (and beautiful) glass elevator took us as far as the third floor where we had to follow signs to the next elevator that would take us higher. Not an issue but managed to confuse us on our first walk through, I suppose to be expected from such a large building!

Well located hotel 5 min away from the train station and metro line 2 (but you have to walk up and it is steep, especially with luggage - you can also take a cab from somewhere else as the pedestrian street also accepts cars at reduced speeds). Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Great also we had our room early (12pm) which was much appreciated. The patio area has a lot of sitting and plugs, you can sit there for free (as a guest) or enjoy a quiet afternoon with a view over the semi tropical garden. Definitely give it a try.

I wish the hotel had a real lobby where you can sit and have a drink. Instead, you have to walk to the patio area (which is very near, fortunately). The corridors are a bit utilitarian and the furniture in general feels a bit too modern and woody for me. The couches in the room and in the patio area could be of more luxurious feel. The hotel can give you late checkout but at the cost of 30 CHF an hour. Don't know what to think about that one.

The hotel was in a very good location & they allowed early check-in. The breakfast spread was commendable. Being able to cook my own perfect soft-boiled eggs was such a delight! Resto staff were buzzing, yet very warm.

A complimentary bottle of drinking water would've been nice. Shampoo & soap were not replenished on our 2nd night. Our top floor windows opened to the street below & young rowdy people on their way home from a night out woke us up at 4 am - on both nights that we booked. For those traveling by train with heavy luggage, opt for a taxi ride to & from the hotel because of the steep inclination of cobblestones leading to the hotel entrance.

There are a few aspects that left me feeling somewhat disappointed during my stay. One notable issue was the inconsistency regarding room views. Despite the description suggesting terrace views for all rooms, some were unfortunately lacking this feature. This discrepancy between expectation and reality was disappointing, especially for those who had specifically chosen the hotel for its promised scenic vistas. Another aspect that detracted from the overall experience was the lack of privacy in the showers. The design of the bathrooms seemed to prioritize aesthetics over functionality, with limited partitioning or soundproofing. This lack of privacy may prove uncomfortable for guests who value discretion and seclusion.

We stayed in the family room. Newly upgraded with Japandi style and so much different from the photos shown in booking.com. The photos for the room is before upgrade.

Please expect no door to the bathroom, just a curtain. At the sink area, there is a blind where you can open and you can see the bedroom from the toilet. As such, it can be noisy when someone is in the shower or using the sink. The sofa bed was not converted when we check in. We waited for the housekeeping staff to complete the setup.

Checkin process was easy, the staff were helpful and patient. The room is spacious. It had all necessary facilities. Great location that is close to the station.

The path to the hotel from the train station is a very steep climb which is hard if you have heavy luggage. We had to take a cab. The bathroom design is flawed and it lacks privacy. There were no disposable slippers. Also the door needed extra effort to fully shut.

Very good wifi within rooms, very comfortable beds. Outstanding cleaness, very bood bathrooms with all sanitary. Outstanding position: 5 minutes from Lausanne Flon, 2 minutes from Lausanne Central Gare. The Panoramique rooms are larger than average. Hotel staff gives you a transport card to use Lausanne public transport for free

Very, very bad frige which is not cold enough. Considering the price, one single bottle of water offered is a must. Rooms are not well covered against noise. I had to use earplugs to sleep well due to noisy customers and from voices on the street. Considering the price, the absence of the balcony is remarkable. If you own a car, you must pay for the parking lot nearby every day. It is not acceptable to have some staff that can't speak one word of English. The 'jardin' inside, in my opinion, needs some serious renovation.
