THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The area is remote, with no wifi (other than in the restaurant), no cell coverage, nothing. But you do not need it here anyway. The Motel is located at the western boarder of Death Valley. Check in quick and you do it at the gas station, which is also a small general store. They also have a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The food was really good and had a great service. We stayed in a queen cabin. These are newer, and are located at the other side of the road along the tents. The cabin was warm, had all we need and a very high pressure, great shower. I have never seen such a beautiful, clear sky with so many stars, it is a great experience to spend a night here. There is also a firepit in front of the cabin if you want to have a fire. I can only recommend here, it is a great experience and I really enjoyed switching off from the everyday reality for a while. Loved it!

The location was good - right on the edge of the sights of Death Valley. The cabin we had was nice and cosy, with a lovely outdoor section we used to sit in the dark and look at the night sky. Food at the restaurant was good and we felt reasonably priced for the location and lack of other options - they could charge more with a captive audience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The cabin was very small! You are also paying for the location - the price is kind of expensive for what you get, but the location is awesome, There is no WiFi in the cabins, just in the shop and the restaurant, but it was actually nice to feel remote and disconnected. Also - I went to get something I dropped from under the bed, and found about 2 years worth of dust build up. Housekeeping need to sweep/vacuum under the bed as well as around it!

Conveniently close to all Death Valley locations for a good price. They send you very useful information in advance to be able to find the place, including a detailed map. If you arrive out of the check-in hours, they will have you covered: they leave information for you at the Gas Station main door. Stargazing is in the area is amazing.
Be careful planning your arrival as there's no phone service for a long time before arrival. Beds are not comfortable but oh well, it's a tent. The road to the tents is not paved. Vehicles with high clearance recommended (in Death Valley in general as well). Little tents have no electricity so be prepared to charge your devices somehow else.

Interesting experience sleeping in a tent. The beddings and sheets were comfortable and the shared shower/toilet facilities were adequate. The tents were generally not shaded so it did get heated up in the day. Therefore, do note the heat when staying in summer as it did not get cool till about 9 pm at night. It was comfortable through the night till early morning. However, it's a good stopover after visiting Death Valley NP if you need to travel this way. The restaurant opposite has rooms and cabins (with air-conditioning) if you are willing to pay more for comfort, and does provide good food and alcohol with internet access. Look for Brian who manages the place.
Nothing as stated above.

Panamint springs is in the panamint valley, so within the national park, but one valley from the death valley. Check-in is at the gas station with friendly staff, they were able to sell us the day pass for the national park as well. We stayed two nights in small tents, which were spacious enough for two people and their belongings. It is camping, but with a stable and big tent with linen, blankets and towels being provided. Each tent had its own picnic table. You should definitely eat a burger at the diner, they were tasty!
During the first night it was pretty windy, thus loud in the tent and hard to sleep. The second night was silent and better to sleep. However, it still is a tent with futon beds, so hard beds and a bit chilly during night (in May). The bathrooms would need a renovation, in the first evening there was no light and no switch to turn it on.

The host, Ben, was fantastic! He was very welcoming, offered us food and drink outside the restaurant opening hours at 11pm and stopped for a nice chat with us! Burgers and beer battered fries we had for breakfast were divine! Restaurant staff kindly sold us some milk for the kids. We regret driving 50miles through the valley in the dark (no reception, completely dark etc) and getting to the campsite after the sunset - it'd be lovely to be able to see the valley from the campsite in the evening and make use of the BBQ area. We stayed in a 4 bed tent. The beds were comfy, temperature in the tent was perfect throughout the night and in the morning (but we used our own blankets for the kids in addition to the linen provided). We felt safe and close to nature. The lighting around the campsite was cute. Able to self-check in anytime.
Facilities are a bit tired, no issue for one night stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant had great food and wine and we enjoyed the view from the patio. Bed was comfortable and our cabin was very clean. Rustic but reasonably priced, and the location on the west side of Death Valley was close enough to the park (about an hour from Furnace Creek visitors' area) to make it convenient for a visit from the LA area.
We stayed in a queen cabin, and the walls were pretty thin, so we could hear our neighbors; earplugs might be a good idea. I'd also recommend bringing an extra blanket during winter months as the one provided was very lightweight--great for warmer nights, but not quite enough for February when we visited. No cell service, but wifi in the restaurant; we knew that in advance, so it was not a big deal. Print your directions before you go!

Absolutely epic. Unforgettable night in our ready to go tent. Popped in our sleeping bags, walked across the road for a meal and some drinks and back to our tent to turn in early as the night settled in. Gorgeous night sky walking to the restroom in the middle of the night. When can we go again?!
The bed was a bit (too) hard. Bathroom could be cleaner, but then it's camping, so who cares ...although it was called Glamping...so maybe just a bit more attention required ?

We loved the night sky, our cabin number 31 was alone and immaculate, (you do have to make your own bed). Great shower, we had a bottle of wine under the most amazing sky looking at the Milky Way. We got there after closing but instructions were on the general store. Which was surrounded by the most amount of bats I have ever seen. Bar country! Dawn revealed an amazing almost alien landscape. We will be back.

Family road trip through California NPs and coast. 18 days / 9 different places to stay overnight. This one was third in the itinerary. Special place. Beuatiful surrounding and views. We stay there on our way out of Deat Valley NP. Historic buildings make the place special. Room was very clean and all equpiment which is needed for short stay. Good / costly restaurant in area with great atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it.
