Location and the neighbourhood, a little welcome bottle of olive oil

The apartment was not very clean, the garbage bin was not emptied, the bathroom sink was not in the bathroom but outside, the bathroom door was squeeking, no hangers in the bathroom for towels. In the kitchenette there was an old and used dish sponge

Fast and responsive host. We were experiencing trouble opening the door with the code and they responded immediately. We also had an issue with the shower drain, and they were up in 10 minutes to take care of it. The apartment was a bit smaller than I expected, but once we settled in, it felt cozy. It had everything we needed, a fridge, stove/oven, expresso maker, pots/pans/utensils/cups/plates. I'm not sure what the cleaning schedule was, but it appeared like they tidied up everyday, which I was not expecting, so it was a nice surprise. The bed was comfortable so was the pullout sofa bed. There's a small dining set with four chairs in the main living space. There's two TVs, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. The shower was nice and hot, and the bathroom spacious. There was no shortage of towels. I much prefer coming back to an apartment than a hotel room, so this worked. The location was within walking distance to the metro and Vatican City. It was also a metro ride to the Colloseum. Taxis are easy to get as well. Very central/walkable location. Multiple places you can get your morning cup of coffee if you are not up to making one. It is approximately 4 blocks from a large super market, so you can easily walk there, pick up some groceries, and cook a quick meal in the apartment. There's also many small grocery shops you can pick up stuff if you don't want to buy a lot of groceries, and just need one thing or two. I'm happy I chose this place.

There was one remote control for the two TVs. My mother came with us on vacation and was staying in the bedroom. Whenever we tried to watch TV in the living room, the remote will change the channels on her TV in the bedroom. It was no big deal, we just chose to do something else other than watch TV, and did not request a second remote. Three of the dining table chairs were broken. You couldn't sit on them, or you would topple over. We didn't bother to say anything until close to the end of our stay, since we could sit on the sofa instead and made without just fine. When we did tell them, they said they will come up and exchange the chairs, but we insisted it was ok since we never used any and they could do so for the next guest.

The location is on a main street and just a few minutes walk from the Vatican City, with a lot of good restaurants around. The apartment had all the required facilities and the hosts at the reception were very helpful, welcoming and always responding even out of their office hours. There are plenty roadside parking along the roads as well as parking lots near the apartment.

The washing machine was not in the room, but beside the reception area, which on holidays, before 9 AM and after 6 PM, needs to be accessed by the room card. The room had the electricity and utility (water and gas) connected to the keycard slot, so each time someone would go to give, check or collect laundry, the others in the room were sitting in the dark with no electricity, water or gas.

We stayed at Vino e Oli for ten days in September, 2024. The location is excellent, about a 10-minute walk from the Vatican. However the area, Prati, is not overly touristic. It is a 5-minute walk to the Ottaviano Metro stop, and there are many restaurants nearby. We had cappuccino almost every morning at Bistro de Saint Bon, just across the street. Two doors away on the same block is Pasta all’Uvo Taddei, where they make fresh pasta every day. You tell them how much you want (150 grams per person is typical) and they cut it to the shape you want on the spot from a fresh sheet. There are several markets within a short walking distance. We used Pewex City market, which a four-minute walk away. Just around the corner is the Sattva Yoga studio where my wife took two classes. Our apartment was on the 4th floor with a nice view of the intersection of Viale delle Milizie and Via Simone de St. Bon. We enjoyed the view from the large, clean windows. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed: a four-burner gas cook-top, a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, mini refrigerator, and very good Internet. The unit was serviced regularly, and clean towels are available as needed. We appreciated the good quality of the bed, especially after busy days of sightseeing. True to the name of the apartments, there was a bottle of wine and one of olive oil on the table when we arrived, as well as a bottle of mineral water and soft drinks in the fridge. On the ground floor there is a clothes washer and detergent available for guests to use 24/7. Georgiana and Asia, the receptionists, are very welcoming and helpful.

The TV had only Italian channels. However, when we asked the receptionist about English channels, she switched out TV from cable to satellite.

Convenient location, especially to Vatican, and close to subway. Nice and not too expensive restaurants around. Comfortable accommodations, cleaned daily. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Complementary wine and very tasty cookies were greatly appreciated on the night of arrival.

The only thing I would recommend is to make the door to the bathroom not letting light into the living room. The door is non-transparent but all glass. My brother slept in the living room and we were always risking waking him up at night. Alternative - to install dimmer.

Apartment at the level of a 5-star hotel. Designed to a high standard. There is an elevator. Heating. There is a cleaner who comes every day to clean the apartment and change towels. This will be our permanent apartment when we arrive in Rome! You can find parking on the street. Cafes, restaurants and parking are a short distance away from the apartment. Federico zevi , the area manager of the buildings, gave helpful advice and was available to us. We really enjoyed our stay in this stunning apartment. We will come to the apartment again when we are in Rome

Everything was perfect

Excellent location. Short walk to the metro station, lots of great cafes near by and loved that we could walk to one of the largest markets (with tons of local produce, cheap eats and good vibes). The bed was extremely comfortable and I appreciate daily clean towels and the extra attention (aka bottle of wine, cookies and olive oil - super helpful when you just arrive after a long trip). Lots of natural light and great apt design / layout.

When we first arrived it seemed like the floor was dirty (stains on the ground) as well as the shower and sink handles. But after talking to the host it seems like they are stained (and not dirty)- which made us feel better but for the price ($315CAD) / night we would have appreciated a place that felt cleaner. Also there was water leaking under the bathroom sink (little puddles of water) - again not the end of the world - but for the price we were paying I feel like this should have been taken care of.

Even though we booked and arrived at the apartment at the very last minute, as soon as the booking went through, the host sent me information relating to check-in via Whatsapp. The instructions were very clear. The apartment was very clean, comfortable bed. The air-conditioning was good throughout the apartment. Soundproofing was pretty good, probably better than most hotels.

Can do with some instructions on unlocking the child safety feature on the cooker. Though we found the model number and Googled what to do. Also, pets are allowed in the building. Had 2 dogs in the apartment next door barking quite a lot during the day but well behaved at night, thankfully.

Everything was great! Wonderful, kind, responsive staff. Instantly replies to questions on WatsApp. The electricity went out for a moment, but everything was fixed within a couple of minutes. Very quiet in the room. You can relax wonderfully, because there is an air conditioner that you can adjust according to your own feelings. This was important because it was +37 degrees Celsius outside. Very comfortable and long enough beds. (We are all around 180 cm in our family 😀.) We had the bedroom as a separate room with a door. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Spacious bathroom. I recommend!

Everything was excellent!👍
